Was given the run around to three different locations before getting one in Fountain Hills. Very time consuming and very inconvenient as well as a lot of wasted gas. When you make a reservation it should be honored.
PAUL LThe truck had brake issues, pick up was a disaster, as they had no clue I was arriving. They had not had the time to check in the truck or trailer. The man who handled uhaul was out, and others did not know what they were doing. The owner was very helpful, this was more of an issue with U-Haul than the pick up place. It was a lack of communicaiton on Uhauls part.

SAMIRA FGreat service and convenience. Everything was great! Please remember to not charge us for the gas. We added $5 of gas as we didn't go far, but the truck was given to us with a little over 1/2 tank. Thanks so much!

RICHARD OU-Haul needs a better equipment availability notification process. Prior to this rental I was notified the night before pick up that the available equipment was available a several hour drive from my home resulting in a cancellation

JOHN FI love that someone proactively contacted me twice. First time I didn't realize the app didn't properly reserve the truck, your app needs some work, but the second time someone contacted me, they asked if I wanted to pick it up from a closer location, we switched from a sprinter van to a 10-ft truck because they were the same price, they discounted the per mileage a little bit because the per mileage cost is higher with the 10-ft truck, but it ends up. It ends up. Needed the 10-ft truck anyway! It worked out amazing and they overall cost was so low. It was very well worth it! Picking it up and dropping it off was also an absolute breeze.

Douglas SThe U-Haul app when gaining access to the vehicle was glitchy, slow and crashed. Frustrating when I am in the hot sun. When I did gain entry to the truck, I was very disappointed that no sack cart, wheeled dolly or furniture blankets were in the back of the truck as promised. No one to ask so had no option but to take the truck and manage without. Ruined my first U-Haul experience if I am honest and not when I was led to believe from all the promises made. When I dropped the truck off, there was no option to deselect the costs for the items that were not provided to me, so I had to pay and then call U-Haul to request a refund. Although the customer services representative was helpful, I received no apology. Disappointing.

MOJTABA ZThe location where I picked up the truck was not the location I scheduled and therefore I had to go way out of my way to get the truck. And, I was notified the day I was to arrive in town and it messed up the plans I had previously made with those who were going to help load the truck. I wasn’t sure why UHaul told me they had no 26’ trucks available where I reserved it because when I went there, there were at least four 26’ trucks sitting there being advertised to rent. That was aggravating. I had to go an hour east to another UHaul location to pick up the truck I reserved.
Reta MMy one issue was with U-Haul originally switching my pick-up location to a Truck share location in Scottsdale. I didn't know it was a truckshare. I wasn't prepared with the App to fill out it's many demands for personal and employment references and in any case I wasn't in a position to wait for U-Haul to verify my references. And the vehicle did not have a dolly or furniture pads as promised. Please don't switch customers unawares from a U-Haul center with customer service personnel to an unattended TruckShare pickup location! Fortunately, Carzz was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, stayed open late waiting for me to arrive back in Fountain Hills, and got the rental straightened out in five minutes and I was on the road.
John RCell service is so poor I would tell them to not rent on a Sunday as it's a total pain.
Richard RThe drop-off location was very convenient (just down the street from my unloading location) and there were no problems. I made sure my official drop-off time was when Carzz Motorsports was open so there'd be no issues with last minute changes, which would have required another 20 miles or so of driving/costs.

LANDON BIt drove like junk. Suspension or wheel balance was horrible. A miserable 7 hour drive.
Gregory REverything worked out perfectly. The truck was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Brad NThe drop off location is not exclusively a u-haul place. The U-haul office is part of another business. It is supposed to open at 9am whereas other U-haul locations open at 7am. No one was there to greet me at 9am. I needed to call to learn where the drop off box for the key was located. I chose this drop off location because it is in walking distance of my home. The grounds cold use a good cleaning. There was a lot of junk outside the office.
John FRyan has now rented me 2 trucks in the past month. He goes above and beyond to make sure the whole process goes smoothly!!

Nancy DRyan was fantastic! He was very helpful and friendly. The only suggestion I have is that your store hours should be opening earlier than 9:00am. Most people like to get an early start when moving especially in AZ where it gets hot. I think you should be open by 8:00am at the latest.

Roger HApp was taking forever to upload my photos. I had to wait about 20min for them to upload then once they did I tried opening the lock box with the code that was provided. That code did not open said box. I had to get on the phone with support and they were talking about sending me to a different location at that time I tried the code on a different box, it opened and had the correct key to the truck that I was suppose to pick up. The next challenge was cornered in by three other trucks. I had maneuver the truck to fit in between two trucks and luckily I had space to back up and adjust the angle of the truck. When I got in there was mud on the floor and paint on the steering wheel. Truck overall drove really smooth! Had no issues after picking it up. I would never recommend self pick up and I probably would never do it again.
