Our rental was completed by Beth Bradshaw, who was polite, professional and knowledgeable! She made the rental so easy and enjoyable and is with out a doubt, the nicest person to deal with that I have ever encountered when renting a vehicle! She certainly should be commended for the way she treats customers and I am sure that she gets many return customers because of it. I cannot say enough about my experience with U-Haul and Beth Bradshaw and the asset she is for U-Haul!!

We discussed why we were renting the truck (to help our brother and sister-in-law empty their house as they were moving to assisted living). She recommended a nearby consignment shop, and they were able to take a couple of nice pieces for us. Beth was a great help!

Mark S. P.The tires on the truck were literally bald. It was parked in a ditch full ofid and Barnes wire and over a giant curb. So getting it and returning it were not easy with the bald tires. I will tell everyone to stay away from this U-Haul and probably U-Haul altogether. Also was charges way too much even though I returned it a day early.

Truck was not swept inside when I picked up and they had the audacity to charge me a $50 cleaning fee when I returned in the same condition. Also made me wait 25 minutes for a receipt that never came while they cleaned out the truck. Will use a different location next time.

Kenneth C.Truck had been smoked in heavily. Trucks engine was awful. That truck should be removed and or serviced. I was terrified going over 50mph. I was charged for fuel after refilling to prior level and the fuel level prior to renting was incorrect.

G Kirby R.The stupid U-Haul app is so frustrating to use for after hours drop off. There must be some AI algorithm that verifies the photos are submitted of the inside cab, cargo area, and the truck as a whole. However, if the photo submitted isn't just exactly like the examples, the app stalls and a circle of death just spins and spins and spins until an error message pops up. The error message doesn't give any feedback saying the photo needs to be retaken because it isn't just exactly as the examples, it just gives an error message and you have to start over. I spent 30 minutes trying to simply return the truck with the app. I'm not sure I'll rent from U-Haul again in the future unless they figure out how to improve the user experience for after hours drop off.

Ernest S.We had great service with Beth, Joe and the other young man in the office. The only thing that would have been helpful to have included in the price, would be straps and blankets - however, considering all the health issues with shared blankets- I understand why they aren't included.

Darla A.I first called the main UHaul office on2269 manatt Ct in Castle Rock for a simple rental which resulted in the worst customer service I've experienced in years! After fumbling with computer input, getting put on extended hold then disconnected, assurances the truck would be there for us on time failing to call to inform that order was now changed after I had hired help on both ends. Majors stress producing encounter! After my calls to customer svc with long wait times I got the help I needed to rebook. This location needs oversight and training

We were sent to a location 15 miles further away, and was charged for the additional miles without consideration for the original milage (original location did not have a truck as promised). This was more expensive than we anticipated, especially with the fitly condition the truck was in and the additional miles. We will likely look for other options next time. Also, check engine light came on, speedometer was erratic, and we had to wait for roadside assistance to check it out. Overall, not a great experience
Kevin V.The steering wheel and controls were dirty. I did a deep clean as soon as I could so I could stand to drive the truck. The seat would not go back far enough for me (6'4") to be comfortable. The mirrors could not be properly adjusted for my seating position. The road/wind-noise was so great that to hear the radio it had to be turned up to an almost uncomfortable level. I hope I never have to do another 500 mile trip in such a truck.
Rand R.The staff were great. The truck and online process were not. I was supposed to pick up the truck at Big Tool Box further north. Last minute I see pickup location on the main order screen as Big Tool Box, but the reservation screen says Castle Rock Self Storage. Additionally, the online process magically changed my name to my Mother-In-Law's name.... How?? I just don't know how.

Brian F.The AC in the truck worked when idling but went away when driving, the right rear outside tire is dangerously low on air, weird front suspension creaks, and the truck was lower on gas than what it was supposed to be when I picked it up (was supposed to be at 1/2 but was somewhere in between 3/8 and 1/2). I was told it would be dirty because of how busy it was which is understandable but there was trash on the inside that would have been easy to remove. I've liked using U-Haul in the past but this was all-around not a good experience.
James K.The alignment on the truck was way off. The brakes were squeaking, I had to say a prayer while I was driving because I wasn't sure I was going to make it. The gas was at a quarter tank. Also, to top it all off they forgot to include the folly in the truck, so I had to go buy one from Lowe's for 80 dollars!! I'm very disappointed with uhual which is a shame because I've been using you guys for years. I will be looking for different companies on my next move.

Richard R.This location is a hidden gem but in general, I recommend not using U-Haul except perhaps for one day local use where you know the location, like this one. They worked with me to fix all the problems created by poor service at the Henderson NV location. I have used Penske many times and decided to give U-Haul a try in spite of the huge number of horrible reviews. I should have spent the additional $1500 and gone with Penske. I don't know how U-Haul stays in business. Even U-Haul employees and managers have commented on how badly U-Haul treats them and that is in three states so I figure it might be an accurate reflection f corporate management (CEO, etc. being totally out of touch with their business). No wonder the service is so poor. U-Haul uses its customers to get the trucks to where they are needed which is why they change the drop off and pick up locations at the last minute. It's to keep them from having to move trucks, transferring that burden to you, regardless of the circumstances. Lesson learned. One and done. U-Haul probably could be far more profitable if it treated its customers like customers instead of an expense.
