I was up charged for 2 dollies I did not request and was provided with since they did not have the one I originally requested. I can't believe I was charged for both when they didn't even give me the option to opt out of the dolly since the one I selected was not available. They upcharged for mats and for a â€œservice feeâ€ when I returned the truck and I did everything myself online. I didn't have assistance with it at all. Also, the truck was in terrible shape. It drove terribly and made so many noises that were not normal. Definitely will not recommend to anyone.Emilia R.

Arrived at the location. No one there to receive the trailer and the equipment. Note on the door to just leave it and a receipt would be sent to my phone. On the phone there was instructions to contact a different U-haul dealer. Went there. (205 W. Market). Was greeted by a knowledgeable person who set an e-mail to the local manager to say that I had returned everything to the drop off location. The folks at 205 West Market were great.STANLEY C.

I live 25 miles from this place theres a place in Soledad that's two miles from my home I ask for that one but sent me to Salinas had to pay for 50 miles just to get the truck feel y'all could of drop the truck in Soledad wasted 50 bucks and fuelMax H.

The truck I rented required a battery replacement 6 hours after picking it up. It took the U-Haul Roadside service 2 hours to get me back on the road. As a result, I was 90 minutes late in returning the truck. I was then charged for a second day! Very poor customer service!Mark D.

Trailer was not available on requested date or location. I had scheduled Monday, Dec. 19th as pickup date. On Sunday, Dec. 18 I received text saying that the trailer was to be picked up in Monterey - not convenient location at all. Monterey location is 25 miles each way from my house. When I arrived in Monterey, I was rudely informed that NO TRAILER WAS AVAILABLE. The Monterey employees did not represent U-Haul well at all. Later U-Haul scheduling was able to arrange the trailer for the next day. Centroid Motors site was exactly on time, courteous, and efficient. Recommend them highly. In and out in 15 minutes.john R.

All the rating questions have to do with the location itself., but the location wasn't the problem (used car dealer that also had U-Hauls). It was the U-Haul app and the TRUCK itself. I had to pick up after hours and was told I could do so via the app. On the way there I tried looking up my reservation on the app, but couldn't find it. I called the regional office and was told I had to be AT the location to see my reservation... weird, but the app works with your phones location, so OK. When I get there, still no reservation. Now it's late and regional office is closed, so I call the main customer service line. The gal was friendly, but it took AN HOUR on the phone with her, at night, in the cold, in a less-than-desireable part of town, to get my reservation linked to my app profile. Finally I get in the truck, and the steering has so much play (about 10:30-1:30), the truck is DANGEROUS to drive. My buddy who drove me there said I looked like I was drunk, couldn't keep it centered in the lane, I was CONSTANTLY making corrections. It was the only truck available, and I only needed to make one load in-town, so I just dealt with it for a day. But honestly felt like the entire front end of that truck needed to be replaced. I don't blame the renal location... he's just a guy trying to make a living. I blame U-Haul corporate for not maintaining their fleet. Take better care of your equipment!John S.
The back was dirty. The gas wasn't where they said it was so I ended up paying extra for it. The truck was unaligned and needs to be fixed. It's very hard to drive. I don't know how I ended up paying so much money. I will definitely not come back to that uhaul place again.ANTOINETTE M.

The truck was very clean. However, the truck steering wheel was very unresponsive. Had to do continuous steering corrections by +- 1/4 steering wheel turns to stay driving in a straight line. Any bumpy or narrow roads was very difficult to drive on due to the steering wheel sensitivity and responsiveness. This truck needs immediate steering wheel servicingStephen K.

Steering on truck ee rented is incredibly worn and sloppy. Regarding overall rental process with uhaul: clearly your legal team at uhaul designed the online rental process; slow, circuitous, cumbersome, clunky, frustrating but checks all the liability and contractual boxes. Instructions are muddled, much needs to be done in advance of rental, etc. But hey! Uhaul saved the labor cost of having to have some humans at a locationMichael P.

Horrible experience, I will never use this location again!!!! The Uhaul operator left me waiting, "clearly" stating his job was selling cars, NOT operating or serving Uhaul customers....AND I WILL HAVE TO WAIT WHILE HE IS OFF PROPERTY DOING TEST DRIVES WITH REAL CUSTOMERS, and that Uhaul customers are not as important as real buying car customers. I left the property after waiting 15 minutes, and WAS NOT able to checkout because the operator refused to return until he sold a car during an off property test drive. Why is Uhaul Corporation allowing this "second class" Uhaul customer status to it's customers? When I told the car salesman to return, he refused. He stated his real job is a car salesman and I would just have to wait until his return. He said he doesn't care if I complain to Uhaul Corporation,....."Go ahead and complain ", he said, "I don't care"Martin C.
