We were charged a cleaning fee and the truck was clean when it was returned. We used it to get a dresser and only 100 miles 1 dresser things were broken on the truck dash button for light in back of truck .window roll up handle was coming off as you roll window up or down I will never go there again .we left truck because they were at lunch .1 he and half we would have had to wait worst experience from uhal ever. I was charged an after hours fee even tho I was on time and they'd decided to close a few minutes early. The truck driver seat is broken, the visor is broken, the light in the back is flickering and there was a switch in the dash that was broken. The worst maintained uhaul I have ever rented.Amanda D.

I had the truck for a total of two days. The pickup place said they would waive the fee for the second day. I was charged almost $400. Charged from both the pickup and drop off place. I opened a dispute twice. No one responded to the second one. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone! I will never use Uhaul again and I will certainly let everyone I know the experience I had. I'm out almost $200. Moving is expensive enough without being charged extra. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with!Meredith M.

This facility is awful and over priced! The staff is rude and shady! I wanted to get my belongings out before the next billing date, they ignored my phone calls and refused to answer any questions! When I was finally able to reach the manager they held my belongings hostage and continued to bill me when I didn't want the storage ! Champion storage was very helpful. This review is not about them. It's about the uhaul company itself. Uhaul needs a new logistics manager. I first reserved a 15 ft truck online for another location pickup. I was called and told that location didn't have any. And was told to go to champion. When I got to champion. They didn't have the truck either. And I was told that uhaul had reserved 3 more reservations for that day and they only had one truck. Luckily I got the only truck. But I did not get the dolly I had ordered. Uhaul had come and got all the dollys from this location. Again. Champion was very helpful. But how can uhaul confirm a reservation weeks ahead when there are not any trucks at that location. I will be using a different rental company next time.GaryWade S.

The facility had tons of roaches and was constantly an issue which led me to finding another storage facility. After being in the unit for two months the price was increased $50 but nothing was added (I.e. additional bug spray, more lighting, nothing). On top of that I moved out on the 5th but was not pro rated anything back after having paid the entire month. One day they will raise your rates over 50% and you will move out. They will raise your rates at least 8% every year. Some of the most greedy people I have ever had contact with. Store at your own risk and get insurance because they will not help you if anything is damaged. You will be very unhappy if you store anything here. Stay far away. Champion uhaul of Palatka,Fl., charged me for 25 gallons of supposedly used fuel for 46 miles , round trip from Palatka to Welaka returned same day on 10/9/21, and no one from Uhaul will address this complaint.Shame on you.I am a struggling widow and cannot afford to be overcharged. We had our unit for 3.5 years, spent over 11k and had major damage from mice and roaches. We had nothing in the unit to draw vermin. I was told it was due to their exterminator changing their process and chemicals. They refuse to reimburse us for the damage. After being away for a few weeks I got a chance to go to the storage unit. As I got a few things out I noticed massive rat droppings and roach's where everywhere and roaches had gotten into many of my belongings. No light bulb in our storage unit. We put one in, but the fixture itself didn't work. Also, when we moved our items out of the unit, bugs/roaches were in everything. Since all of our items were moved from a roach-free home in West Virginia, I know they weren't there when we moved our items in. Now we have to have an exterminator to treat our new home to make sure that all of the roaches we carried in with the boxes are dead. I ask for months to have junk boats parked in a area not for storage. These boats made it impossible to back a trailer to my storage unit.my unit is for business not pleasure so I loaded and unloaded daily. I spoke to staff dozens of times about this issue with no response. Staff said boat owners would not move the boats. So I’m moving out of my 2 units after 9 months of complaining. Ultimately, it was resolved, but they tried to continue to charge me for 2 units after we moved everything left into one unit. The process was anything but user friendly. The storage unit handle itself looked as though it was going to fall off. The return process for the truck was not easy at ALL. As a matter of fact that process should've been explained better. And all the â€œfeesâ€ is quite ridiculous, they didn't have half the equipment that I needed so I had to compromise and should've been compensated for that.
