This location provided us with many issues. The lady in charge of this location was definitely not following standard protocol, especially when it comes to explaining to me about the price rates and charges. She only talked about the basic rate of 19.99, took my name and credit card info, gave me the key and never gave me any other explanation. I left and came right back in under an hour, to find my charges to be almost $77, specifically $66. In the beginning I mentioned that I had my own insurance, but was charged a movers coverage that I never agreed to or even heard of, which was $14. From beginning to end, my service was horrible; the lady refused to provide us with any information or printed receipts, and I felt completely blind-sighted. Is there a way I can at least get a refund of the coverage fee since the lady had never gone over anything with us, not even asking for signatures or a run down of prices and how U-Haul works? We asked for basic customer service of printed receipts and received none but the ones she sent through text messages; we also asked if we could pay in cash because we were afraid of any additional or scam-like charges on my card--and the lady said they did not accept cash. I made a reservation at one location and was sent to another location miles away. This caused me to pay extra money. My initial reservation was at 9 o’clock But when it got changed I wasn’t able to pick the truck up until 10 o’clock. On top of having to adjust the time for the people that were moving me, when I went to pick up the truck the business was not open at 10am. This place didn’t open until 10:45. Wow!!! I could not believe the level of service that I received from Uhaul. I would hope that you can address these issues and not treat any of your customers as I was treated. REALLY BAD BUSINESS!!!

This location really needs to improve on answering the phone. I started calling this location at 10am and so did the Uhaul representative and every time the call went directly to the voicemail. No one never answered the phone. The truck I rented did not have a working seat belt on the driver's side so it dinged the entire time I had it. The gas needle did not work properly so I ended up filling the truck up instead of putting back at half full. Just not a good experience for me.

Truck was full of trash. My appointment was at ten and they did not open until 1030 or so. The attendant also over charged me and was rude. I put gas in the truck and was charged an additional 45 dollars. I would say the customer service here was awful.

Ebby was very unprofessional, no receipt, added additional mileage & insurance. Had to call headquarters to get info & receipt. She told us that she’s not in charge of payments and call 800 number but she’s the one that took the info. The absolute worse! Will definitely use another company if ever need to move something again. Horrible U-Haul experience. She needs to be reprimanded!

The truck was nasty and smelled like smoke. I do not smoke so it is literally all I could smell. It has tobacco in the cup holders straw wrappers on the floor, the lady wouldn’t even get out of the chair to come look at it. I told her about this so I would not get fined. She did not check the miles and i’m not sure why my cost was over 200 for 2 days. I can’t log in with the number and code. I am extremely frustrated.

I sue ace was not discussed, and what I expected to be a $50 Uhaul somehow because $106 for less than 4 hours... seems off to me but when I called to ask about it and the $14 insurance charge that I did not agree to, no one answered.

FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WHILE THE TRUCK WAS IN MY CARE. RECEIVED THREE TELEPHONE CALLS, ASKING IF AND WHEN WAS I GOING TO RETURN THE TRUCK. I ONLY HAD THE TRUCK FROM 10;45 AM UNTIL 4:40. DON'T QUITE UNDERSTAND IF THERE WAS A ISSUE.

This was not my choice of location. That is the only reason for less than excellent marks to all questions. I do not like your habit of substituting locations on me. I believe you hold your interest over the desires of the customer. That attitude is simply bad business.

I had an issue with my card because of a spending limit and was going to pay cash instead of a debit card however they told me that CASH PRICE would be approximately $160 MORE than the initial price I procured online. I found that to be rather odd and called the bank to get a limit increase to use my card.

Sales agent was not knowledgeable at all about the software system used to rent a U-Haul. She kept asking us, the renters, if she was doing it right. I told her twice I didn’t know that I didn’t work there. I specifically asked if I could reserve a trailer for the next day and pick it up then. She told us that they were closed Sundays but she could do all the paperwork today for us to rent it the following day. She also asked if we’d be bringing it back to that location and we told her no. That we were in town to go to Ikea and would be traveling back to Goose Creek and would need to drop it off there. When we arrived to drop off the trailer in Goose Creek, SC they told us she didn’t mark us as a one way. And she’d also began the rent date the day before. We were about an hour late turning it in because we thought we had 24 hours from the day we picked it up. Not the day before. Per our discussion with her. Therefore we were charged for two days as well as an additional fee for dropping it off at another location. She also told us that if we paid with cash it would be more than paying by card which sounded strange to us. Either way we are requesting a refund for the second day that we were charged and for the fee for dropping it off at a different location. This lady was told everything twice if not three times. It is her mistake and we shouldn’t owe for it. Would never return to this place of business. It was disgusting. And you could hardly understand a word she said while she chewed her bumble gum like there was no tomorrow. I’m disgusted with the customer service. First worst experience we have had with U-Haul and very very disappointed.

Vehicle oil life was at 0%, 1 tire on the trailer was under inflated. I had to ask for help loading the trailer at the shop when the vehicle and trailer should have been set up my U-Haul rep. I got stuck in my yard with U-Haul had to pull my self out of the yard with F150 that I was told was not strong enough to tow my vehicle I was using the U-Haul for!?

I had to clean out leftover boxes that was left behind from previous user, I was charge a fee for not filling up truck with fuel which was under quarter tank of gas and I brought it back on quarter tank and was charged I’m very upset will and will recommend anyone to this location and to top it off I inspected the truck myself so unprofessional.

They did not have the trailer ready. I have to move one trailer myself so I can get access to the one I’m getting. I did all my hook up myself. And the trailer missing one safety Chain. And a tail lamp is damage.

The agent that completed our order was not very knowledgeable. We had to move the trailer ourselves to be able to inspect it sufficiently. We also had to hitch it up ourselves. Not very customer friendly.

First off be honest about quotes prices. I was quoted 40$ but then they wanted a 80$ deposit. decided to get a tow trailer instead. Lights on the truck ended up not even working. lady was not understanding and not knowledgable at all. would never use this location again

The truck was full of trash and food crumbs. They closed over a hour early and tried to charge me for 2 days when I returned to the same day. Also tried to add the highest priced insurance when I specifically asked for none. All and all a horrible experience

Actually tell the truth if the tail lights and blinkers are not working. Listen when told if it is round trip or dropping equipment off elsewhere. Not calling and harassing customer that they haven’t returned said equipment when it was returned over a month ago and CONTINUE to charge the credit card on file to over $900 for a two day rental. Continuously called Uhaul telling them the issue and wasn’t fixed for OVER a month and card continuously charged. Extremely unhappy. Should have been free at the end but was not.

I have been charged two separate charges for a $19.99 rental. I fueled the truck upon return exactly how I received it. I have been charged $61.20 and $18.57. When I called the location, I was told they can’t see the system charges and I would have to call Uhaul. I have been on hold for 10 minutes now and no one has answered at Uhaul. I have never experienced this when it comes to charges.

The location was dirty and honestly disgusting. The women who called me and was at the counter looked like she'd rather be anywhere but there. She was no help with any questions I had. I was honestly just surprised the truck was working (even though it reeked of smoke). When I asked questions she said that I could find stuff online or that it would come in an email and didn't seem to want to answer them even if she knew the answer. I would not recommend this location to anyone and I wish I had gone somewhere else.

My uhaul kept cutting off while driving. I would crank and it would start. But every so often stop.The molding that’s around the window kept falling off. So I kept having to have to put it back on.

I will Never- Ever use U-Haul again.. Saturday 12-10-2017 I stated to representative i needed a small/med trailer to get a full size mattress and box spring and she insisted I needed a large trailer ( for only 2-items) and would not accept anything less. When i got the mattress and box spring- the trailer it was entirely TOO BIG! I could have move 3-rooms of furniture.I am very angry and dis-satisfied with your service. If the customer wants a small/med trailer that I what they should receive. No questions asked. After all I am paying for the rental..This cost me unnecessary money. I called back to U-Haul customer service upon returning the Trailer because I could not get the Trailer unhitched and the representative I spoke to was HORRIBLE! Really, really bad. (please listen to the recorded conversation). She stated she sent me 2-texts so she could get my location to send someone out and help un-attach the Trailer.. I never got any signal and stated this information to her twice. She then placed me on hold for 8-10 minutes?? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE ON HOLD FOR 8--10 SOLID MINUTES! She then came back and stated there is a fee for someone to come to my location- she only wanted to send me a video. I explained the representative showed me how to unattached when i got the trailer- but not working. I got so frustrated and mad that I hung up the phone! It has been about 15-20 years since i have used U-Haul you can bet I will Never-Ever waste my money again! This was the worst experience I have ever had just to rent a trailer.. I hope you read this comment, listen to the recording and make SERIOUS changes within your organization.. Yours customers deserve much BETTER SERVICE!

I was upset because my confirmation text time and place of pickup was changed so I was told they would credit my bill $20 which would make the rental $103. I get to the Eastway location and there is no truck for me. Customer service is awful. The lady said they had no truck for me and then she had an attitude and made it seem like it was our fault because she found a truck but then they could not find a key. Next they then find a man sleeping in the back of the truck they were giving me. Worse experience ever. Not sure I would recommend again especially that location
