I would say it’s not related to the actual U-Haul location, but rather the U-Haul customer service and app. It does not fully detail the pick up instructions and process. It took me over 45 minutes to get checked in once I arrived at the location and I used the U-Haul app to reserve the U-Haul thinking it would be more efficient and user-friendly, but I was wrong. As as the location goes, the service was nice, and the woman at the counter was very friendly and patient. The U-Haul itself and the driver and passengers area did not smell well very sour and rotten smell, but the vehicle itself drove very well and was very useful and helped me get the job done.
Elizabeth PThe location was closed. I was told they closed at 7pm so no one was there. The parking was kind of hard due to it being alot of cars /trucks there already so didnt know where to park. But otherwise the process to return on the app was easy.

derek bI was overcharged mileage what should have cost me $55 cost me $300! No help getting my money back, they have a tracker on the van yet said I put 100 miles on van when they can track and see I never left the city. Don’t trust this location they are thieves.

Laurie NThe truck I was assigned to didn’t have a license plate so I had to get my reservation transferred to a different truck at a different location. By the time I got to the second location, which was located in a fairly unsafe area, it was dark. And as a single female on my bike, I felt pretty unsafe.

English is our language you should not work or reside here as a citizen, If you cannot read right spell, especially speak our English language, he held his phone up to translate our conversation back-and-forth and I wouldn’t do it. Our ancestors all came here to make a better life for themselves And in doing so we all became American citizens so when in public speak the American language, English. This is a great disrespect of our country those who have fought for our freedom. I will be sure to boycott U-Haul and spread the word.

Susan RI have had to rent a truck everyday this week. Every single encounter has been frustrating. But to keep it short. Hamburg St, Schenectady NY, could be the worst customer service store in your chain. They completely ignore customers. It took me 45 minutes, waiting til someone waited on me, to find the truck i reserved was not there. I had to go to another location to get the truck. Got to that location and the attendant didn't speak English well, and had NO training on rentals. Another 35 minute wait til the owner came back to the store. However, the owner of the store at 1170 Chrisler Ave, Schenectady is great. He is customer service motivated. He does a good job with the paperwork, he does it quickly and efficiently. Keep him on board, the other store needs alot of help. I will NOT rent there anymore.

Eric AThe van was absolutely dirty! The cargo area was covered in concrete dust & pieces. So dirty, you couldn’t even see the pattern in the cargo floor. Looks like construction debris was covering the floor. The van smelled. Dirt was embedded in the door latches, which we had to clean out to get it to close after we partially swept out the back 3 times. We were transporting furniture & other household goods and had to try & prevent the items from getting dirty. The representative didn’t even us the opportunity to review the van’s condition prior to releasing it for rental. We called the rental location to make them aware how dirty it was & agent said to just notate it at dropoff. Had we notated it as “unclean for next rental” we we’ve been charged a cleaning fee. We returned it in better condition than we received it, but it really needs to be SCRUBBED out. We plan to call customer service
William RThe owner was so nice and helpful, the check in and check out was fast, the van was clean and he could t have made it any easier!!!! Very pleased with my experience at the shop and will definitely go there again before anywhere else.

Shaun MI believe the gas charged to me was a scam but it is what it is I had approximately 9 miles on the rental and it cost me an eighth of a tank of gas I think that was quite absorbent
douglas hService was excellent, efficient, friendly, and fast Wish the location definitely was somewhere else. The road opens up to four way traffic. Dangerous, blinding and a tight squeeze if more than two customers at a time.
