I had a bad experience due to the customer service I received on the phone when my pickup date was changed. When I changed the pickup date they changed my drop off location. When I called to express my concern and see if it can be changed the last I spoke to on the phone was very rude and hostile.
Paul WEasy drop off. She took the time to help with check in. Convenient location.
OLAN FHave the employee that is trained to rent U-Haul vehicles be on site during all business hours. I was told to arrived no later than 4:45 p.m. in order to be served by the U-Haul representative. I arrived on time, only to be told that the one employee that handled the rentals had left at 12:00 noon and was gone for the day! Having to handle the transaction over several phone calls wasted over 45 minutes of my time.
Cary CExcellent service 👏
DAVID PThe woman who checked me in was very nice and helpful. U-Haul had moved my pickup location in the computer system and did not notify me, even though the location I went to was listed on my reservation receipt. Luckily they had one truck left and she helped me cancel my existing reservation and get that one.
ERIC FThere is no office at this location. I had to be in call with support for 40 mins to get hold of keys.
MANAS SThe young lady that walked me through the self return was very friendly and helpful!!
JOHN BThe pickup was smooth except that I did not receive the dolly I ordered.
Charles WU-haul app doesn't know it is a 24/7 share location, it keep asking me to go inside office to obtain key. The office is a apartment locator service and they have no idea about the lock boxes outside. I have to called help line to request help. Turns out the truck I have requested the key is not in the lock box. So i was assigned a 15' truck instead of 10' truck at the .79 rate instead of the .99 I was charged. I ended up spent 30 minutes to be finally able to obtain the key from the lock box.
wyman yU-Haul, please revise the remote rental app to prevent situations described in this review, and require your employees, partners and representative to maintain professionalism and provide at least, Good Customer Service, if not Excellent. Thank you. I have recent truck rentals from U-Haul and have been very satisfied with the Customer Service I experienced. But for this review, being my first remote rental, I experienced challenges with the remote check-in/check-out procedures. MY 24hr RENTAL WAS RETURNED 8.5 HOURS AFTER PICKUP, but I did not check in via the U-Haul App and was charged $20 for after hour return fees. I hoped that there were cameras on the property (or maybe a tracker on the truck) that would also confirm when the truck was returned. When attempting to get the $20 charge reversed, U-Haul referred me to the site location, which referred me to the Broker. I left the Broker a voicemail and followed up with a text to the number provided from the site location. The Broker referred me back to U-Haul. I eventually received a response to my text that explained it was my first remote rental, and I returned the 24hr truck rental the same day. The Broker texted me after communicating with her boss. Her DISTASTEFUL RESPONSE in part was “I’M SORRY, BUT I CAN’T GIVE THAT MONEY BACK. THAT’S MY PAYCHECK. I WORKED HARD FOR THAT $20. I CAN’T AFFORD TO WORK FOR FREE. (also included an emoji with a teardrop)” She offered a deal on a new rental and continued the same sentiment in another text and included “AND FOR FREE!” (What work did she do?....and all for $20) I texted back “____, I probably want rent remote again, Spend that $20 well. Take care.” If I do choose to rent remotely again, I definitely would not rent from this same location. LOCATION: The location was good, close to major thoroughfares. ACCESS: Assuming there are normally 4 trucks due to the 4 lock boxes, it was not an easy in and out driving the truck. The trucks were parked on a small grassy lot. The truck I rented was next to the street curb. I had to drive off the curb, or maneuver around/drive over a small mound of rocks to get to the paved driveway. The latter occurred. EQUIPMENT: There was slack in the steering leaving me to believe the truck need an alignment.
Roberta TThe vehicle I used was pristine and very well maintained
Fernando GI was not aware it was manned. Lukily there was a lady there to help me with my rental return.
Rafael DThe person that helped me was so nice, she made sure everything was in order, double checked that I was getting all the equipment I needed and also the charges I was getting to make sure I was paying the right amount! I would totally rent at this location every time I need a U-Haul
Luis PThe online check in functionality is terrible. It does not make anything more convenient. It would have been easier if there were just a human I could talk to.
Darren Ngiant pain in the ass
Jennifer NBetter customer service over the phone. The site was perfect service but the agent on the 1800-U-Haul was not helpful at all. In fact, he refused to assist.
Sobeida RCustomer service was terrible, the company’s never opened for the advertised hours and it took the company days for them to process my return after discussing it multiple times with the business and ended up over charging me.
Lumi II was told by the office to let it be known that the $61 is to be removed from the rental. I was charged two days when I only had 1 day. The app would not work with the pictures and I was only 12 minutes late. I was also charged for a dolly that I never got. Please contact the rental office if you have any questions.
Kimberly HI felt well taken care off.
Israel OHere is my review of UHaul You know those extra fees Joe Biden warned us against? U-Haul sure does. They hit me with an after hours service fee of $20 after touting this 24/7 truck share drop off service that they never told me would add 20% to my rental fee. And it was a disaster. First, UHaul sent me to a trash-filled empty lot in mid-town Houston for an 8 am pick up. The food trailer that operated the pigsty did not open until 10. A phone operator redirected me to a real UHaul operation that was professional. The drop off in Austin was of course not staffed so I get jacked with a 20% up charge. UHaul delivers value. Its 24/7 “truck share” is just an expensive gimmick.
Robert CCharged for items in error. No response when questioned about why. Very unprofessional location. I do not recommend using this location
Raymond TEverything was great. The lady I was dealing with was new, but she was very nice and helpful.
