No phone or personal contact at designated pick up time for an hour so it was assumed we were suppose to just pick trailer up. At designated return time same thing. No answer to journal's and no one at :-/haul area or in sight. I was called on pickup date and informed I was responsible for trailer and we had just buried my husband and representative would not just call me later as I am amongst family and friends at luncheon for the funeral. Not happy and not sure I'll ever recommend this company again.dee P.

The hours are limited to 4 hours a day during the weekday and there was no one around to help on Sunday, which was the day I needed to return it. I did not know how to unhook the trailer and U-haul charged me an extra $30. This is almost a scam. Unfortunately, one doesn't have a reliable competitor to U-haul to turn to. The trailer when picked up was very dirty inside one of the tail lights didn't work and the tire was low. My husband fixed the tail light swept out the trailer and put air in the tireCLYDE M.

Not have your customer service agent call up your customer who just picked up and paid cash for a uhaul trailer and accuse them of stealing it!!!! And threatening them!!! Then hang up on them!! This Agent should be held responsible for her very poor customer service!! It was so unprofessional !no uhaul customer should ever be treated like this by a uhaul representative.. The weight of the tongue hitch is very heavy. Had a hard time lifting to my trailer ball. Also removing after trip from trailer ball. A Caution should be put out for users of this trailer, jack stands should be use. Maybe a jack installed on tongue. I had a safe trip, Maintenance men at Minot Office were very helpful on the trailer lights problem. I was only there for less than 30 minutes. Super Job Maintenance Minot North Dakota... The representative was rude and unorganized. 1. We reserved the Uhaul to be picked up in New Town, ND which was in our location. The day prior to pick up, we were informed we would need to drive 60 miles to pick up the uhaul in another location. 2. Upon arrival we were met with a very rude representative We ordered dollys and padding in order to move our furniture, we instead were informed those were not available and that we did have 20 blankets. These blankets were on a laundry basket lying on top of trash. I am certain they had not been cleaned as to the appearance and in a pandemic this was ludicrous. 3. We were asked to remove the car tower from the Uhaul as the representative did not know how to do so. 4. When we expressed our concerns about the treatment, her response was she could cancel the reservation. We have utilized Uhaul numerous times and this was the first time the customer service was absolutely unacceptable. 5. Once we arrived home to begin to pack, we counted 10 blankets so we did not have enough blankets to cover our furniture and were out of time to get any more, which caused damage to our furniture. I ordered online, seveeal days in advance, a very common trailer from New Town, North Dakota to drop off in Seligman, Arizona. The night before I was to collect my trailer, I was called by a woman in Minot North Dakota who asked me if I would drive 90 minutes each way to pick up my trailer in Tioga, North Dakota. I told her that I did not want to do that, she told me I really had no choice. Later that night, the representative from Tioga called me and asked me when I would be arriving, I told her I would get up early so that I could be there by 8 am. I waited two hours and no one showed up. Finally I got ahold of her and she told me that she had a dentist appointment and couldn't be there and to hook up my own trailer and just go. I was probably two hours down the road when a gentleman called me and asked me where I was taking the trailer. I told him Seligman, Arizona. He then asked me if I would mind delivering the trailer to Ash Fork, Arizona instead. By now I was extremely perturbed. PISSED! I told him what I thought of his request and hung up on him. So... U-Haul required me to drive 3 hours out of my way when I initially picked up the trailer, at a cost of not only my time, but $70 worth of diesel fuel with my one-ton. Then they made me wait 2 hours. Then they tried to talk me into delivering to another location. All without a single attempt make it up to me by reducing my nearly $500 trip to AZ. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN.Matthew B.

Not fuck up their whole contract, take money out of an account you said and PROMISED wouldn't be charged, lie about payment methods to trick people into using your service, having the correct equipment and pick up location, and not be rude assholes when the customer calls confused about why their contact has been messed up. The only person that isn't management was the nice guy at my drop off location in Box Elder. I might never use Uhaul againChristopher M.

The dollie was fine the service was okay new lady that tried very hard. My reservation was screwed up several times in the williston area was guaranteed a truck and when I got there I had to go on yet another 100 miles to get my truck was messed around with 5 times in one week trying to get promised equipment. Tioga was a great place to get our rental, staff was nice and pleasant to work with however we tried dropping rental off in Bismarck because of the very icy roads. The staff at Bismarck location were not so pleasant to work with, they were going to charge me 100 extra dollars for change in drop off location, talked to Fargo which they said was 100 dollars cheaper then Bismarck said no you have to take it back to Tioga. Got back to Tioga and found out Bismarck had marked our rental as returned in Bismarck after telling us they couldnt take the return. Thankfully Tioga got us all settled and straightened out. The representative making the reservations should be better trained. Or have a better system 4 making reservations. I told her the place suggested by the app closest to my house was in Mohegan lake. She said she didn't have that address or couldn't look it up. Then she asked where I was going with the trailer and I told her my home address. The price went up by $200+. Corporate website was useless. No way could I contact them via the website to cancel or change a U-Haul I had scheduled! Very cumbersome. The phone number for the location in Williston ND was useless also as I attempted to cancel a rental I had there after I found a smaller trailer in Tioga, ND and rented it by calling them directly. This worked out very well , but then trying to cancel one in Williston was absolutely impossible so I gave up!!bob B.

did not appreciate the drive across the state to pickup a rental truck that was supposed to be in Minot. extra cost for gas to pick up. extra miles on our truck. lost an entire day to drive. the cost was way too high. should have trucks in Harvey. The inside of the trailer was cleaner when I dropped it off than when I picked it up. I took pictures of the trailer showing the damage it had when I picked it up so I could not be blamed for the damage.DEAN H.
I had reserved the trailer to be picked up and returned to a Stanley Nd location. I had to travel to Tioga ND to pick it up. My reservation was changed from 10 days to 4 days by your customer service rep. I had to call them and have it changed to 10 days. The trailer was dirty and one of the tail lights was not working. There was a cleaner trailer on site but we were told that we could not rent that one. My reservation was for 10 days we returned the trailer a day early and was still charged the full 10 days.Mary R.

Horrible service, would have never used you if other options were available. Booked my trailer over a month in advance..... Recieved a phone call a day before pick up stating the trailer was not there and wouldn't be until "possibly" a few days later no guarantees. Then I was required to drive over 60 miles one way out of my way wasting over 3 hours there and back to pick up a trailer that didn't have working lights or all the packing blankets and the waste of gas and money for gas that isn't always easy to have extra money at hand for, and all uhaul can offer is 50 dollars off. The lack of disrespect and thoughtfulness of customers was awful. I will encourage all I can to not use your services. I am severely disappointed in you as my previous experience was good this was just unacceptable.jared J.

Reserved trailer for Minot North Dakota. Had to drive an 2 hours and 15 minutes to tioga just to driver another hour to get our stuff from Minot and then then back to Watfod City North Dakota to finish packing. I would say next time someone calls in to pick up a trailer/truck and you have a weeks notice You would have it delivered to the location the the customer wants to pick it up at, instead of making the customer go out of their way to get what they need.Shannon T.

I've used UHaul 3 or 4 times before and always had a good experience. This time was frustrating. We live in Watford City and needed to move our belongings from Tioga. We called the UHaul locations in Sidney Montana, Watford City, Williston, and Tioga - none of them had trucks. So I did a Google search for the Uhaul location in Minot and was connected to a call center somewhere. The lady I spoke with was very helpful. This was on Thursday for a Saturday pick up. She booked us a 26 foot truck in Minot. The next day they called from Minot and said they not only didn't have a 26 foot truck for us, they had no trucks at all. I asked why I have been told there was a 26 foot truck and she said that the lady I spoke with is in a call center and wouldn't know. I manage hotels and we use call centers, in which the reservation agents can procure a real time inventory of every hotel in the country. Surely UHaul is a big enough company to utilize a similar system. After all that, we got lucky - they had a 20 foot truck in Tioga of all places - but not until Sunday. I understand that we're in a somewhat remote location and that the availability of the trucks depends upon the demand for them and whether or not people are using them to drop off in specific locations. I also appreciate that we didn't give much notice. That said, the lady from Minot told me she had 12 orders for trucks that she couldn't fulfil that weekend. And considering the nature of your advertising, one might think that more effort would be made to make trucks available when that many are needed. When we got to Tioga, the furniture dolly we had ordered - and that had been confirmed in the confirmation email - was not there. She did have a hand truck, so we made that work too. The check out process took over 20 minutes because she didn't really seem to know how to use the software and never did figure out how to charge us for the hand truck. We made sure to inform the dealer in WC of this in case he's on the hook for getting it back to Tioga. All in all everything worked out, but it seemed to be a more frustrating experience than it needed to be.benno G.
