Absolutely empty parking lot and I was on the way to the airport and did not have a lot of extra time. Thankfully I had downloaded the Uhaul App and was able to quickly submit my photos and check out of there. If I had not had a good call phone I can't imagine how that would have transpired. It was weird not having anyone there to confirm things with but I guess I'm just old school.

Have a clean truck, with gas. This had a quarter of a tank. The key pick up was inside at the counter and the clerk told us we were wrong. We needed a code. I kept going back into the reservation. There was no code it kept saying pick up from the clerk. We were held up at least a half an hour for our truck. When I finally went back into the counter and told him that it kept rerouting me back to him, he said oh wait that’s right. I do have to get on the lockbox and get it. When we first got out to look at the truck. He came out and acted like we were stealing the truck. He offered no help, but just wanted to know what we were doing and did we have a reservation. The town was one of this day. Once we got done loading the truck at the house, we realized there were no lights. The headlights only worked if they were on bright. We contacted U-Haul and they told us that it’s on automatic and they only come on when it’s dark. Even when we took it off an automatic they still did not come on. My driver drove with brights on for seven hours. Absolutely the worst experience with the U-Haul I have ever had.
TRACY MThe reservation was for 9:00 am. The location doesn’t open until 9:30. No one showed up until 10:40. Then she was rude when I mentioned them being late. I wound up doing mobile check in (didn’t know that was an option). Cut my ankle trying to take photos of the truck because of where they had it parked. Truck was filthy, could barely see through the windshield. Had to immediately get gas because they left it so low. And the truck sounded and performed terribly during the entire 10 hour trip. We had to shout at each other in the cab because it was so loud. The engine sounded like it was going to fall apart. It wouldn’t go over 35 MPH uphill, with the gas pedal to the floor. It chugged and chugged for 10 hours.
Cheri MArea is very small. Only one way in and out. Not ideal for big trucks let alone a trailer

Edgar AOverall great service!!!!!Miguel and Beth went above and beyond to fix an issue that UHAul in Alabama region/initial drop off location could not. I was moving due to a military move and had to change my drop off location. They really made U-Haul look good. If it wasn’t for them, the rating for this trip would have been poor. They are the reason I will be using U-Haul my next move!
