THAER PThe Dolly I had counted on and paid for was not in the truck. There was no one at the building and the order was done online. This inconvenience cost me an extra $90 because I had to rent one from Home Depot and my moving helpers I had to pay an extra half an hour. I would like to be reimbursed.!
ANTHONY TI thought the check in and check out process was too much taking pictures. It really slowed down the process
Kurt PIt would be nice to know ahead of time that when you check in through your mobile device online, you have to have your drivers license ready to take a picture of and back. And the check in process takes about 20 minutes. Would also be nice to know you cannot check in until Exact rental agreement starts
Tom DI guess the personnel (from Clearhome Storage-Shelby) was okay. He didn't seem too thrilled with having a Uhaul return. Told me I didn't have to come into the office area, that I should just leave the keys in the truck and go. I said I preferred dealing with someone at the counter upon my rental return, and getting an inspection and printout of my total bill with a live representative, to see if I was over the mileage allotted (You know. So as not to have any surprises) - It's never been a problem with any other location I've ever returned a Haul rental. I was told that it's all done with computers (Really? No kidding! I would hope so). He didn't seem to want to have anything to do with a check-in, and passed my request for a final total off, as 'not necessary'. Not in an aggressive or mean way....just in a dis-service kind-a-way (if that's a word). I assume they are not Uhaul employees, but when they agree to handle the Haul business via their Storage business, you would expect to have your customers treated with the same degree of respect as any number of Uhaul associated businesses that I have encounter over the many years of Truck Rentals I have done. Too bad for Clearhome. I'm just moving my family from our Downtown Chicago High-rise residence to Michigan. I am in need of a lot of Storage space at this time. Unfortunately, it won't be with Clearhome Storage of Shelby. But I will still be a UHaul customer for life.
LORI AThe truck tires were worn on the outside and haven’t looked to be rotated in a long time. The truck didn’t handle well especially in the rain. The radio didn’t work and there wasn’t a usb port to plug the phone in as the truck was older. I didn’t feel I got the value for how much I spent. I expected more.

ALEXANDER JThe inside of the truck had a lot of dirt from plants and cardboard. It was not cleaned out well. I’m hoping I do not get charged for the previous renter. I did not have a good place to clean this out before I started. Great location and friendly staff.

thomas tI had a fuel issue when I turned in the truck. A Uhaul customer service manager Sandy called me back May 1st and left a message saying she would credit me and send a new receipt, which I appreciate. It has been 5 days and I haven't received anything from uhaul.

Steven TWorst Service Ever. The Mobile App is garbage, it took me over 25 Minutes just to check in and get the Key! I had to leave my car there as it was a one way drive, they called and said they are towing my car, who does that?

Patricia DThe appliance dolly and moving blankets I ordered were not available but I did not find out until when I arrived to pick up the truck. This threw a wrench into my planned move and I had to race to find alternate equipment elsewhere.
Sterling WWe ordered a dozen furniture pads. They did not have them and our furniture got damaged during the move. As such, we are unlikely to use U-haul again in the future.
SUBBU VThe first truck I was given was absolutely NOT road worthy. I had to return to the location and get a different truck. The second truck was much better and could be driven without fighting to stay between the lines. Your sales person, Ryder, was a beacon though. Very polite, apologetic and took care of the problem immediately. He made the experience enjoyable and easy.
