We were given an exact quote over the phone at a local uhual rental for a 20ft and a 15ft truck for driving one way from Jacksonville NC to Clayton NC. We were informed that if we dropped off our rental at a location in Raleigh, we would be given a discounted rate and we agreed to do so. We ordered a 15 ft truck and was quoted the price in full would be $175. We were called back to pick up the truck at a different location. Upon arrival, the lady there insisted that instead of driving all the way to Raleigh to drop off the truck at that location, we could drop it off at any location at our convenience for the same rate and no extra charge to us as well as we could keep the truck for three days at no charge even though we did not need it for those many days. When we went to pay up front, she charged us $248.64. I asked her why it came out so much. She said that was the price including taxes which ended up being more than the price quoted for the 20ft truck with taxes included with drop off in Raleigh. I verified the quote she printed out and showed them what I had reserved and the amount. She then said I would now have to go online to have my amount adjusted and money given back. To make matters worse, once in Clayton, we unloaded and drove the truck to the closest location (as the lady said we could drop off at any location with no charge) and when we went to sign in on the app to begin the process for drop off as the office was closed, the app would not work and allow us to take pics nor begin the process. Therefore I called the u hual number and waited 20 minutes before someone finally picked up the phone. Once she answered she was slurring her words and not making sense but I did get that they were having problems with their website. Then she said she will have to transfer My call to the return department. She left me on hold waiting for someone to pick up for 30 more minutes, sitting there in the middle of a u hual parking lot wasting time. No one ever picked up. So I dropped off the truck and left the keys in drop box and left. I would appreciate if this matter would be taken care of immediately and my money refunded in the difference in the quote amount as informed. I hope to be contacted soon regarding this issue.

They need to be informed that UHaul DOES in fact charge your card for the days put in the reservation WHEN you pick up the equipment, NOT WHEN said equipment is returned, which is what they told my husband while he was there and what I was told over the phone. We only wanted the trailer one day, but the lady suggested we reserve for two in case something happened and we needed it another day. This way we wouldn't lose the trailer had we needed it again. We agreed only because we were told our card would not be charged until the trailer was returned and we would only be charged for the amount of time we actually had it. Also the trailer was due back by 10:30am EST and there was a note on the door stating no one would be there until 1:00pm EST. We had to call UHaul and they did the return via phone and then leave the trailer there after we took pictures. You cannot trust anything these days it seems.

I requested a local pick up location 2 miles a way from my home. They called the day before pickup to say they would have my trailer the next day. Two hours later someone called to tell me the trailer would be at another location an hour away. Then another call said my pick up point would be 1/2 hour away. I made a trip to my local location plus 2 more phone calls to get the correct pick up point. Very perplexing and inconvenient though all people involved were pleasant and helpful.

Sorry but I did not drop here. I made 1197 piney green Jacksonville, NC 28546 This is the worse place I have ever been. They nasty altitudes, Uniforms are unsat, place need real cleaning. Nothing against older folks but hire some younger folks to help out

The trailer was the worst looking trailer we seen on the road from NC all the way to MS.When I got it home it was over run with ants. I sprayed it twice in NC and by the time I got to MS it was crawling again and had to be sprayed again. Need to better check trailers and equipment before customers pick-up.

I had trouble with my ball losing its nut. I called the UHaul number and was pretty much told that because the regional U-Haul person was unavailable that I would either be charged extra or would have to figure a way to get the trailer there on my own (it occurred 1 mile before my drop off. The person at the U-Haul facility loaned me a hitch to help me out-going above and beyond.

They didn't open on time so we were behind schedule for our entire move. We waited for 30min for them to get to the shop and open. The owner had no clue how to do the sale properly so we got stuck waiting even longer. We had to go through customer service several times for a closer pick up.

The gentleman who helped me was exceptional in all aspects. If you can find out his name, please send him a note or, even a letter of recognition. I would rate his service as 10 out of 10. On another note, however, earlier in the day, in regards to my original contract, I would rate their service as 1 out of 10. Without calling me, they cancelled my contract (sent it back to regional office) because, "the guy never showed up with your equipment, We don't know where he is." Then, after reviewing my Internet email, I find out and confirmed by this Uhaul agent, that if I wanted my guarrenteed equipment, I would have to drive eighty miles--forty miles there, forty miles back. Then do it again, to take the equipment back. Basicly, I was told no equipment; have a nice day, left me standing there and started to assist another client. Everything looked fine and in good condition upon pick up, but during the move, the ball bearings in one of the trailer tires broke causing the tire to fall off. I was stuck on I-95 for almost three hours waiting for a replacement trailer. I don't think the rental location was responsible for this, but I think a better pre rental walk through should be done by a qualified mechanic, and not just the average customer checking for visible damage would help prevent something like this in the future.

Once the 6x12 cargo trailer was loaded I traveled roughly eight miles and the rear driver side tire on the trailer came off of the rim.

lights would not work-told me it was my truck(brand new four runner less than 3 months old)had tested truck at home before trip with trailers-fine. Had to go to toyota dealership which cost me 50.00 out of pocket-uhaul dealer did not adjust bill even though i asked-got me new trailer which was fine-my truck was not a fault-on the way home lights went out-took another hour to fix(ground fault wire broken which i fixed on my own otherwise would have had to stay overnight at a hotel because it was at 9:00 pm
