This location doesn't answer their phone. They have no voicemail and no way for anyone to know if they are open or closed and by closed I mean permanently closed. The person who we finally dealt with there was not very helpful. In fact he created a significant amount of stress for several members of the family. I guess that's what happens when there's no competition so maybe someone else should open a U-Haul dealership in Prince Rupert so that service is significantly better. After lodging a formal complaint a numerous emails and phone Calls to head office, our complaints were mostly resolved. However it should not take that much work to complete a basic rental and get a response from a business.Paul E.
The truck had gum stuck on the dash the drivers side floor was muddy and the box of the truck hadn't been swept out I definitely returned the truck cleaner than I received itlindsy J.

I went to the location gave all my information 3 weeks before only to be told that I didn't have a reservation the truck that would be available would be less than half the size requested and double the cost. Both coastal propane and the terrace BC drop off were rude and unaccommodating we had hired movers for a certain date taken time off work snd were told ohh well that's how it works, this was not explained when the reservation was made, I strongly suggest uhaul takes a look at how their contractors look after their customers. More attention to detail when customer picks up vehicle. A walk around to identify previous marks. Verification of fuel level. Inside cab visualization by staff, verification that cargo area is empty and ready for customer. Better customer service attitude. Getting bookings and reservations right. Improved computer skills to not have customer waiting while employee figures out the system.Brenda S.

I have been charged an 'equipment cleaning' fee from my deposit even though, when I 1st received the truck, the cab was full of the last customers garbage and the back was full of dirt. Instead of complaining, I spent an hour and a half of my own time cleaning the truck prior to loading my own belongings. I also spent an hour or so re-cleaning the vehicle prior to drop off so I am not sure why Im being charged for doing what they probably charged the last customer for to begin with and then leaving the truck in stellar shape when I was finished. Not only am I disappointed, I will certainly not be recommending uhaul in the future. If I need uhaul myself in the future, you better believe I will be making sure that I receive a spotless piece of equipment prior to renting. Not impressed.kristen J.

Overcharged and overpriced. Will not use U-haul again. EVER. Not Coastal Propane's fault ... they are just doing U-Haul's predatory pricing. Same vehicle in Manitoba for two days, same mileage was $156.34 ... here... Visa charged more than $100 than the final bill of $455. Will be following this up with VISA and others. I'm not going away!kenneth H.

Was told unit would be moved out for easier access. Was not done. Went to hook up and electrical cable was about 4 inches long. Had to buy extension from alternate place as unsullied was open much later. So do as you say and ensure electrical cables are adequate.ANDRE M.

Fix the app to speed up the pick up process. I tried for 20 minutes to use the app but I was not able to proceed past step 1, upload picture of myself. I spoke with 2 online agents while my wife spoke with 1 agent over the phone. In the end I had to use the uhaul web page. The app was nothing but problems. And I did allow the location service to be active.reginald S.
I had booked everything on line including all the appropriate insurances. When I arrived to pick up ,none of Information had been relayed to the pick up point. So a little frustrating to take the time to input all information for nothingRichard G.

Truck wheel alignment was completely off, steering wheel was to the left for the truck to go straight and the right side tire was completely worn off even if all the other tires were brand new. I also found a jacket, a McDonalds bag with old food in it and an empty coffee cup under and behind the seats. The only reason I kept the truck was because I was on a schedule and had 20 hours of driving to do right after loading the truck. The truck also only had miles per hour on speed indicator which made it difficult to drive in Canada (truck had USA plates)Eric B.

I booked online two weeks before the move day. I ordered a 6x12 trailer to move from a 3 bedroom home. The day before the move Uhaul phoned and gave me a choice of a 4x8 trailer or drive 2 hrs away and pick up a 6x12 trailer. As I had no time to drive a 4 hr round trip to pick up the 6x12 trailer, I felt I had no choice but to choose the 4x8 not knowing how tiny it was. Next day I picked up the trailer and realized how tiny it truly was. I expressed my stress of space to move a 3 bedroom home and felt I had no choice as I already booked it the previous day. I then noticed the cubed van on the lot and decided to phone Uhaul and informed the my situation. They were able to get me the van. I was more surprised that I was only offered a 4x8 trailer or to drive 2hrs away and pickup a 6x12 trailer the day before I was to move. Why wasn't I offer a cubed van instead which could eased my stress level?Christa L.

I tried phoning this location for a week prior to going to Prince Rupert and found that they do not answer the UHAUL number in the office only the propane number. I had to settle with a smaller trailer that I had ordered. Terrace did have the right size trailer I could have picked up on my way thru, but it was to late for me to get that trailer by the time I was driving thru. I think the agent you have in Prince Rupert is bad for your business and you should switch to someone else. Very slow ordering and all paper work took for ever, they had no clue on what to do.William M.

The equipment was good however was not what we wanted so instead of getting a trailer we ended up with a truck. There was a big extra expense as well we needed 2 drivers one to get our own vehicle home as well as a truck. We. We're told there was a trailer available 400 km away If we had a known this a few days before we could have picked it up on our way to the place we were picking things up. This is not the first time this has happened to us. The staff at costal propane were very nice and did there best to accommodate us. If we require other trailer and or truck or if family or friends do we will recommend they check out what the next town has to other before booking with U-HaulDiane B.

I initially booked a U-Haul 2 weeks in advance in terrace, the day before I got 3 confirmations (email,text and a call) saying I could pick it up the next day, I called again to confirm and it had already been rented to someone else, so we ended up having to drive to prince Rupert last minute to pick up a U-Haul which ended up being super expensive on fuel.
