Very difficult to park truck there, issues with the onset of renting due to the website not loading properly, had to take pictures 4x to get them all to stay on the webpage. The inside of the truck was covered in pet hair abs the back of the truck had to be swept out from all the dirt prior to being able to put anything in there. The gentlemen working behind the counter were helpful though for both drop off and pick up, that's about the only positive. The location should be noted that it's not an actual U-Haul location and just a drop off/pick up point for online bookings only.Brittany R.
The location is horrible. The UHaul truck was crammed into a tight gas station and mechanic shop with cars surrounding you on all sides. The person "checking you in" was rude, didn't care about the customer, and made you self check in without his assistance. The attendant made you feel like you were bothering him to rent his truck. Very poor check-in procedure. Online only. User at the gas station was not very accepting and seemed frustrated at having to complete Uhaul rentals. Truck was jammed into a small parking space and difficult to back out with no assistance from attendant. I reserved a utility dolly with my truck, but it was not supplied with the truck. Attendant said to reach out to another branch to get. Drove to nearest branch that my original reservation went through, and they did not have a dolly either. I spent 2 hours of the rental, just driving around to find this as it was needed for me to complete my move. Ended up calling Uhaul Customer service to find a location to get the dolly needed and had to drive to an adjacent town to get. Customer service was very helpful, I was just frustrated with the experience. When returning the truck, the parking place was no longer available. Attendant was not helpful in finding another place to park and suggested I try and pull the truck into a space that was about 2 feet larger than the truck itself. I declined to do so for sheer fact of possible damage to surrounding vehicles, to which attendant frustratingly just had me pull the truck in front of the building access and park it. Absolutely not an ideal location to rent a vehicle and experience was very poor. I don't think this is representative of Uhaul as a company, because I usually have great experiences with Other Uhaul locations. Would not recommend!douglas B.
Not a full service location. I asked to rent a hand truck, furniture dolly, and pads. Reservation system should not accept reservations for anything other than the vehicle. Full and partial service locations should be clearly differentiated.Saul K.

The uhaul that I went to in Rockville Md, at the Exon was the worse experience I have ever had in my life. They have also refused to give me my proper change / I was scammed and lied to. Very unprofessionalDaizja M.
There is no parking to leave the car you come in to pick up the rental. The nearest parking is about 1/4 ro 1/2 mile away across a busy highway. The facility and office is chaotic and dirty. I would NEVER go back there.Jeanie G.

Vehicle was not well maintained. Transmission made horrible noise. Side mirror did not stay in place. Gas tank was empty upon rental, which was noted, but we still ended up being charged for gas. Customer service at the 1-800 number was very helpful in resolving this billing error.Ming T.
Upon returning the van I was overcharged/ double charged. On my original order, I declined insurance (CDW) but it was included on my final invoice. I rented for six hours but was charged for two days. It took me a week to resolve the issue. Thanks eventually I was refunded about 200% of the actual amount I was supposed to be charged. I was charged extra for a coverage I did not ask for. I did not get my rental until about a half hour later even though I had reserved it online. He couldn't find my reservation and had trouble inputting my information. The gas station was so busy and this man was the only person working. He chose to ignore me until my husband came into the store to see what's taking so long. My rental was also behind another rental so I had to wait an additional 15 mins so he could take care of a customer and move the other rental. All the while this man smell like he had been drinking. It was so heavy in his breath. I am very disappointed in the customer service and experience at this uhaul.Dawn V.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental. First of all, this is NOT a UHaul location even though I rented through the UHaul website - this was an Exxon gas station with only the van I reserved parked there. When I went inside, I was told that I could not park my car at the gas station during my rental and had to find another option, but yet there were no other options. How is that supposed to work?? Who rents a car/van and walks there? How can a place that rents a van not have a space for people to leave their car during their rental? Luckily, I had someone who could drive to help me. I commented to the manager (Zifer) that this is something that should be disclosed prior to the rental and he said it wasn't his fault and to call UHaul. Additionally, the equipment I pre-ordered was not available when I got there. Again, something that I should have been told about BEFORE I arrived so that I could have planned better. And, again, I was told by the manager that none of this was his fault and to contact UHaul. The van itself drove well, but was dirty inside. It did the job needed, and the pricing was right. However, the manager was rude and at one point when I was upset about the parking and also the equipment I needed not being available and not being told about either, he threatened to not rent to me at all. I admit that I got frustrated with the situation, but all of this could have been avoided had I been informed of exactly what to expect. Please do better UHaul. If you offer something on your website to reserve, either make sure its available or contact the customer so they can plan. And please don't work with subcontractors (or whomever this Exxon is) if they won't provide at least one parking space for their customers when they rent a van.Lori G.
The rental location was unorganized. I wasn't able to leave the pickup location until 45 minutes after my scheduled pickup time. I'm not a mechanic but the truck was in need of serious maintenance, The engine was making a severe "tapping" sound the whole trip.William B.

Customer service was bizarre and incompetent. It took over an hour for the employee at this location to get us this cargo van and he didn't understand that our reservation number was what he needed and not a â€œconfirmation codeâ€ that he kept insisting on. He could not get a hold of his manager and would not dispatch the van to us. We then saw another customer in the store asking him about the cargo van and found out that it had been double booked. This employee seemed to have no understanding of how to rent out the cargo van and his manager kept turning off his phone and hanging up mid call. The employee then had us call his manager from our personal cell phone. This was by far the worst uhaul or customer service experience I've had to date.Christopher D.

I arrived to this location in my car and whit a frien. When the guy who give me the car keys explained to me tha I can not leave my car in the place. I told my friend drive my car. In the paking lot one old man( I assume tha is the gas station owner and the u-haul representative) he He came out and yelled at me that I couldn't park my car there. You should tell customers there is no parking for our cars when renting a vehicle. Making a u-turn in busy traffic, driving 1/4 mile to a shopping center to park my car and walk back to the U-hall wasted time needed to move my stuff. If I knew I would have made different arrangements. Other than that, the experience was efficient and trouble free.Maurice S.

I've used U-Haul four times in the last two months. Went to this Frederik road location because the closer location doesn't have parking. But this location is just a gas station and is not really a full service location. They didn't have the dolly I ordered. The truck bed was dirty and had a bunch of unfolded blankets in the back. Worse, I got the truck with about an 1/8 of a tank. Not a good location. Not a good look for U-Haul. Guy that helped me was good, though.Nicholas C.

I reserved a a van online for 24 hours and received a confirmation very quickly once a place holding the desired van was identified. When I arrived to pick up the van, I was suddenly told that there is a problem with my rental and that the vehicle is no lokger available for the 24 hour.period I had booked it for and received a confirmation about. The manager/owner was called and he confirmed that if I wanted a vehicle, I'd have to agree to return it by noon nthe next day, instead of 7pm. I reluctantly had to agree as our plans to pickup bulky Items could not be changed. The next day, when returned the vehicle, taking precautions to put a tad more gasoline in the tank than when I took the van, I was shocked when the manager/owner decided arbitrarily that the tank was 3/4 full rather than almost the 7/8th required. I disagreed strongly, and both of us took pictures of the bank gasoline gauge, which I want to send you for reference. In the end, I'm really not worried about the few additional Dollars charged, it's really the entire experience and this feeling of dealing with borderline dishonest people that really makes me mad. I honestly think this location is running a scam by adding insurance to reservations that wasn't requested by the customer. I reserved a van for mobile check in and I purposefully did not reserve the insurance. I got to the location and went inside to confirm I could use the mobile checkin. The person at the garage told me he would handle it and log me in and give me the key. However, he revised my reservation and added the insurance without asking me or getting my approval. He then gave me the key. The van was very dirty with debris from the prior rental. It hadn't even been broom swept. When I returned the van, I was told that I had elected to purchase insurance, which I had not. The person handling the return told me there was nothing he could do about it and insurance was automatically added when they checked me in, even though I hadn't requested or approved it. After much frustrating discussion he finally removed the insurance charge. It is concerning that this location changed by reservation to increase the cost without notifying me or getting my permission.Keith R.

I brought the van back 11 hes before it was due, thinking it would save me money.
