Gianna HReturned truck after hours. Very small parking area. 2 20’ U-Haul trucks already in a small parking lot, spaced wrong so they took up anywhere to park. Did my best squeezing in. Left a voicemail at drop-off location stating to CALL ME if there were any issues. Get my final on line bill. An added $75 dollars added for truck basically out of gas. Good thing I took a VIDEO of the dash gas/miles & walk around. Called the drop-off location saying I returned with proper gas. Lady went right into “someone almost hit the truck” in their small parking lot. Didn’t want to hear me with my gas video showing proper gas. She didn’t want to hear it. I asked how does someone almost hit a 26’ truck? I asked how better I should have parked. She got nasty with me. We hung up. I called U-Haul main number and told her this experience. Nice lady sent her email for me to send my gas was appropriate for drop off video. She then reversed my fuel/service fee. My point, the drop-off location should have called me asking about the gas. They FAILED! My guess, someone siphoned the gas out of the truck after hours, or she was lying. Check the security cameras. This was a few days before when hurricane was approaching the area and gas stations were running out of gas as everyone was filling up. Again, drop-off location SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME. Especially after I left them a voice mail to please call IF anything was wrong. Truck also has a water leak up in the “mom’s attic” storage area above the cab. Not reported my me, but now you know.
KYLE GWe could not get a good picture of the gas and mileage. The app would not accept it so we had to go inside the store.

Rodger LDrop off was a complete disaster. The original drop off location I was told to take the truck to was Absolute Tax Solutions in Webster FL. This location was closed and did not have a drop box. The only information taped to the locked front door was to call 352-569-0712 and leave a message which they promised to quickly return. It is now over two days later and I still have not gotten a call from them. While waiting for a call back I called the Clermont location and explained the situation. Their only advise was to take it back to another location. No help in finding one was offered. I drove the truck to the only location I was aware of. That was UHaul dealer on 466A East in The Villages. They refused to take it back at this location. They did call my final drop off location and arranged that I drop it off there. When I checked it in I was charged several charges that I feel are not my fault because I was at the original drop off point before my check in time and was not checked in due to UHaul's fault. By the time I got to my final check in point I had passed my check in time. I feel I was incorrectly charged $40 for an extra day, $15 for an extra day of insurance, and $34 for the extra 34 miles that I had to travel to get to my final check in destination. I explained this to the Clerk at the desk but she was unhelpful. She said she was required by UHaul to charge these extra charges. She was sympathetic to my problem and offered to have someone from UHaul call me to discuss it. It is now over two days later and I have still not received a call from any one associated with UHaul. My next step is to refuse the charges with my credit card company and try to get some satisfaction with their help.
