I rented a van this past weekend (6/7/25), Everything went was extremely quick and efficient.

Lock on truck was old and difficult to use to access the rear entrance.

The rear door when opened goes up so quickly that it bounced back lower. Yes, I failed to hold on to the strap but still ... someone could get hurt by that very fast opening. The truck worked great. Drove great. Got the job done. Thank you!

I was pretty disappointed with getting a truck with 1/4 tank of gas and I have to immediately go buy gas before I can even do anything. It’s already a time crunch when you are moving and this does not help. The vehicle should come with full tank and this seems to be some new strategy from U-Haul to make customers pay more. It’s impossible to guess at getting it back to 1/4 tank so you guys get free gas from the rental customer because we turn it in more full when our guess was wrong. I wish you would correct this policy.

The rental location was great, but I had issues with u. Haul corporate. Their system was down when I went to pick up the truck and I was there over an hour to try and get my truck. They didn't have all of the supplies that I needed that I had ordered and the moving help that I hired never showed up and come to find out.They had been canceled by uhaul but uhall didn't think it important to get me another set of help. When I tried to call someone I was on hold for almost 3 hours and then got disconnected. I finally was able to get my reservation for moving help. Canceled, but it was an entire order deal.And I am not happy.I don't know if I will ever use uhaul again.

Only challenge was the pricing. Advertised rental was not the price I was expecting to pay. Over all cost close to $200 where I was expecting to pay less than $100 due to local city millage being charged.

No afterhours key box located on property. Had to leave the key inside the truck upon return. That being said overall the truck was very clean, and the process of picking up the truck was fairly easy.

Front desk manager was rude on the phone when I requested to extend my truck rental, asking unprofessional statements and questions about “why can’t you go unload it today?” and “I have to tell these people why their rental has changed.” Furthermore, with no forewarning or change to my schedule, the same worker “I assume” at the front desk upon drop off made it my problem that I wouldn’t take the truck to a different location because someone had booked it and this change never reflected on my end. I won’t be renting anytime soon, this is a shame because the ladies I spoke with for help at uhual was nothing but helpful and very kind. Seems like a local/regional issue.

We’ve rented from this location several times, but this time was terrible. Customer service was nonexistent. The representative seemed unfriendly and bothered by our being there; he wasn’t the helper normally there. The truck was awful, it felt gross, the A/C was broken and would not blow from the vents. Horrible experience.

The gentleman working had to listen to my complaints about the check I process and I felt awful once I heard he had nothing to do with Uhaul. He was very nice and handled himself well. The check in process for the truck was so frustrating and slow!

Absolutely recommend Compass. Our 3rd time in 5 months to rent a Uhaul Truck from them. Rick is always great to deal with. He's very friendly and accommodating. Will use them again. Highly recommend!! 👍

I've used uhaul many times before,never problems.This time they moved the pick up location,then they didn't have a dolly I requested and had barely any gas.I was not happy ,having to go to Home Depot to rent a dolly after I picked up the truck.What made me upset was I got surprised with all the bad news when I got there to pick up.Not a good experience this time.

They weren’t there at the pick up time. Had to wait 25 mins for him to show up. Poor customer service. Guy was on the phone and rude. By the time I left it had been almost an hour of wait time. With day light savings 1 hour is huge when it comes to the sun going down. I ordered boxes and supplies. They didn’t have them in stock. Complete waste of time. Won’t use them again.

Neither employee I talked with was happy. Both were grumpy and short. No one walked the truck with me when I dropped off or picked up. The truck was filthy inside and had NO BREAKS and wasn’t safe AT ALL. I was charged more without being notified of why. Easy location, but the rest of the experience was shit.

inside the cab was dirty, I took some wipes and wiped it down so it didn't feel as gross driving, but it would have been nice to have had a cleaner cab. overall experience was that it was easy to rent, and overall pretty good.

I was 100% pleased with the service I received at both the pick-up and drop-off locations in Indiana and Texas. I would wholeheartedly recommend either of those locations to friends. However, having to deal with the U-Haul website and (as a result) actual U-Haul personnel was a totally different story. I had originally reserved a U-Haul truck at your location in Boonville, IN. The day before my pick-up, I received an email from U-Haul that my pick-up location would actually be in Evansville, IN. That’s no problem – except for the fact that when I logged into my U-Haul account to try to resolve the situation, it still indicated I would be picking up the truck in Boonville (!!!). I made the mistake of calling the U-Haul number (1-800-GO-UHAUL) and then had to deal with a ‘Customer Service’ (and I use that term VERY lightly) rep who was rude, somewhat confrontational, and totally and completely unhelpful. When I questioned which location I would be picking the truck up at, she informed me that I had received an email from U-Haul when I made the reservation that I would be picking up the truck in Evansville, not Boonville. That is totally & completely untrue; I DID receive a vague, non-specific email which told me that someone from U-Haul would call me the day before my pickup to finalize location and time. Regardless, when I contacted the actual Evansville location, they were able to straighten out the confusion caused by your website (and your ‘Customer Service’ rep). During the trip, I ended up interfacing with individuals at three of your locations and, when I told them about my difficulties in dealing directly with U-Haul, they all agreed that I should avoid using the website in the future (because it results in a multitude of booking errors and mistakes similar to what I encountered) and also avoid calling U-Haul (because of the unhelpful CS personnel which you employ … again, similar to what I encountered). They recommended I should call the individual locations directly in the future …… which I will certainly do in the case I ever have the need to rent from U-Haul again (hopefully not).
