My first complaint is not about this location per se, but about the fact that my pickup was changed to this location and my only notification was a single email that did not clearly state in the subject that my pickup location was being changed. “You U-Haul order has been updated” does not adequately convey “your U-Haul pickup location has changed.” The second issue is that the U-Haul’s gas was on empty when I picked it up. The gauge stayed 12 miles to go, and they did warn me about this at the location. However, despite me selecting empty during the online checkout process, immediately after checkout was complete, the receipt web page showed that the truck had been checked out with a quarter tank. I don’t understand how that happened, but I’ve now been charger an additional $30 for leaving the truck with significantly more gas than it had when I picked it up. That’s completely unacceptable.
