The rental location was fine. But I rented the truck on line and somehow was charged for insurance I did not want and the truck was terribly noisy and the window seal should be replaced.

The manager and general manager at the Compass Self Storage site where I rented the truck were very helpful and professional. The problem was that I was provided with a truck that, even though I paid for a 24-hour rental for, had to be returned for a safety/starting issue after just after 4 hours. The truck has a serious ignition switch issue and should have been repaired before my rental or not in service at all. The key would not turn in the ignition switch unless serious pressure is used to pull the steering wheel down on the left side while trying to turn the key in the ignition. It might take 30 seconds of doing this and the worst was just over 10 minutes. I never knew when or if I could get the truck started which caused me to return the truck after only 4 hours. If the ignition had not been a problem, and if I didn't have to keep wondering if I would get home, I could have completed the project I rented the truck for. I now have to rent another truck somewhere and hope I do not have the same problem. While I think there should have been some consideration on my rental charges given the problems I had with this truck, that did not happen.

Take this truck out of service and align the steering wheel with the front tires. I had to steer at 11 o'clock (instead of 12 o'clock) to keep the truck from veering to the right. This was annoying and dangerous.

The location manager was great. The app to remote checkout locked up and after 10-15 minutes I contacted the site manager and he easily completed the rental. Your app in one word, worthless. It tries to be a useful program, but both rentals I have used in the past month had to be completed by the site people.

I requested and was confirmed a 10 foot truck but was told when I showed up in FL that 15 foot trucks was all they had. I was also told I agreed to this substitution. I was sent a text requesting this substitution based on the needs at my drop off location. I replied no to the text. Then when I picked up the truck I was told it was this location that didn't rent 10 foot trucks one way. I spent $250 on gas driving a gas guzzling 15 foot truck. I am requesting UHaul to refund the cost of this gas. I have receipts. Also, truck had a sticker stating it was aerodynamic to increase mpg. I got 8.7 miles per gallon on 1,000 of highway pulling an almost empty truck. Is UHaul capable of telling the truth?

The truck was not clean in the cab after the last rental. We ordered 24 blanket/pads and they had dirt in them also sand and leaves. The rental we had a year ago from Ocala with u-have the 24 pads were clean and seal in a plastic bag. I THINK IN YOUR AD IT STATES THE PADS ARE CLEANED AFTER EVERY MOVE. . i HOPE WE DON'T GET covid-19 FROM YOUR DISCUSSING PADS.....

Use a leaf blower at least blow out cabs floor was full of dirt but not worst and when I used wipes on steering wheel and doors they came out dirty towels . In a covid world it matters but being uhaul Rentals and relying on renter to clean . Clean outside truck ( yes) cab no so much Maintenance ( it didn't break down or flat tire Was ok

I originally scheduled a 10 foot truck. A few days beforehand I was notified it had changed to a 15 foot truck. That was fine. When I arrived at the location I was told it would be a 20 foot truck, that was unacceptable for the destination I was headed to. Luckily a 15 foot was available at another location. However, I had to wait another hour for the facility to open. You should not change the truck size without notifying the customer and you should always provide alternate locations for a pick up of the ordered size. The personnel at both locations said the smaller trucks are typically local only trucks, not one way. If this is true you should not offer smaller trucks for one way moves.

Despite dealing with the no contact arrangement due to Covid, everything went along quickly and smoothly and we were able to get a truck we needed to pick up furniture. Would definitely recommend this U-Haul location and will use them again when we need to.

The guy that was there when we picked up was somewhat of a jerk. Told him my name and he acted like we didn't have a reservation. As if moving isn't stressful enough. Didn't have the truck ready with moving pads loaded and sold us the wrong kind of lock to be able to lock the back of the truck. 🤬

I was told we were given 2 days to get 1.75 hours away. I told the man who did my paperwork I did not need two days. He told me I would be given credit for the day I didn't use the truck. I had the truck for literally 8 hours and now I'm being told I will not get credit for not using the truck 2 days

The 15' truck I rented was an older vehicle. The pull out loading ramp was broken and couldn't be used. The turn signals would not cancel themselves after making a turn. Had to manually do that each time. I called the rental location and they gave me another truck to use. They were very helpful in resolving the issue and cancelled any charge for first truck. Would recommend locations perform a few quick inspections when vehicle is returned to them.

The manager was terrific to deal with, but we were not pleased with the truck. The floor had dirt on it; was not swept out prior. Also, the ramp was broken and did not pull out. Finally, I reserved a dolly on the U-Haul website and was told upon pickup that there was not one available. Thus our move was more difficult than we hoped.

Vehicle was not cleaned out. Trash was left in it and a fidget spinner was left in the the top tray. Dog hair was everywhere. Obviously COVID 19 protocols were not in place for truck cleaning. Facility was immaculate. Masks were worn.

The only comment I have is about the truck. U- haul has placed a sticker reminding the driver to watch their speed, but placed it on the speedometer blocking view of highway mph indicators from 55 to 75.

Well, the rates seemed to change as I got there for the 15” then was quoted, then while driving uhaul all I could hear was a sharp screaming sound when you drive.

Representative was not friendly nor helpful. Per the mileage I drove 30 miles but was charged for 40 miles. His explanation was, "That's what the computer says. I have no way of correcting that, you'll have to call the main office". He also added a $30.00 fuel fee (?) on top of charging me $8.00 for 2 gallons of gas. A $19.95 rental driven 30 miles cost me $85.00. I was treated rudely, called a liar and overcharged.

Need to repair the truck's self-canceling turn signals as they didn't self-cancel. AT&T cell signal was so weak that early hours Smart phone self checkout took nearly half an hour. Loading, loading, loading, and still loading minutes later! A good guest (not pw protected) wifi network would have helped.

FIRE THE MIDDLE EASTERN WOMEN WHO REFUSED TO ACCEPT OUR VEHICLE WE HAD TO FIND ANOTHER LOCATION LAST TIME WE TRIED TO DROP OFF AT THIS LOCATION ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 3RD AT 2:30 PM. SHE GAVE NO REASON, DID NOT REVIEW THE TRUCK, AND WE HAD TO DRIVE 13 MILES OUT OF OUR WAY TO DROP IT OFF..

I would recommend the location because I know the truck issues are not the fault of the location. The truck was only half full when we picked it up. When returning, the fuel gage did not work properly. So we ended up adding more fuel than was necessary. The trucks should have a full take of fuel when rented. Hen when returning it just has to be filled. We also had an issue with the pull down door. It got stuck and we had to have someone come from work to help us with it. The truck had very touchy breaks. Which makes it difficult if you have glass items, which we did, in the back. When returning the truck, we mentioned these issues. I was told that the issue with the door happens a lot. She didn't seem to care at all about our experience. So based on that, I'm not sure I would rent a truck from this location. In the future, I will look at other options. I feel like I paid too much for what I got and with paying more for the fuel.

Have UHaul fix their website to include the Jeep Cherokee TrailHawk 3.2 Liter Auto engine 4WD with factory towing package and 4500 lb tow capability. It took too long to convince the salesman that I could tow this trailer.
