Great service and easy pickup

Unbelievablely helpful and accommodating! They really went the extra mile to get me what I needed. They followed through with everything they promised. They truly cared about me and it showed. Loved every minute of working with them!

Overall, a very good experience. Only one complaint. We left some moving blankets and a dolly in the rear of the truck that we thought we had removed. We called and asked the attendant to check the truck for us and hold the items. The attendant said she looked in the truck and the items were not there. We called back and asked them to locate the items and hold them for us. We have not heard from them. We would like to have our property back. Thank you, J. Vanderpool. 352-571-5116

Staff wasn’t sure if we were at the right place. Need better training.

Manager, Mark, was friendly and helpful. His inventory of trucks was very low and there was some concern UHaul wouldn't have a truck available in time, in the size best suited for the job. He was also short of moving blankets. Fortunately, Mark received a truck and had it ready to go when I was. Unfortunately, the truck itself (15 footer) isn't very comfortable for a long distance drive during a heat wave. We ended up at a truck stop buying seat cushions and a 12 volt fan. Climate control on the passenger side was particularly bad. Extremely hot at floor level despite air conditioning. There are floor vents but for some reason (perhaps only known to the truck's manufacturer) A/C only blows from the dash vents. Insulation around the engine housing that extends inside the cab and/or floor level air ducts that operate in conjunction with the A/C would improve this.

The kid we work with was much better then the first time we rented

We made our reservation at the Stonecrest Location near our home for a 10 foot nearly a month ago. We had stopped at least twice in the last three weeks to be sure the 10 foot would be available. Lisa assured us there was no problem and be there at 9 a.m .on June 5. When we arrived at 9 a.m. she said no vehicle. We would have to go to the Oxford location. Almost 10 miles away. That added 20 miles to our trip and an extra hour. The people at Compass storage were very nice and pleasant but I don't appreciate the way we were treated and the extra mileage that we did not anticipate. With U-Haul, it doesn't matter if you make a reservation, you will get what they want you to have, where they want you to have it. Would have been nice if they had informed us before hand.

I specified no insurance when I reserved the truck and my emailed bill had a $14 charge for it. That was a quarter of the bill.

Easy with online check in and very reasonable rates.

The location has zero issues. Dealing with uhaul tho. Had many many many issues. I will never use the. Again

Nothing, both agents we talked to on May 20 and 21st were friendly and helpful, and said if any issues to let them know.

Jeff and Mark were very friendly and helpful.

I disagree with the 25 $ cleaning fee when there was only a water bottle left in uhaul and a pack of gum .. I will have to move one more time in the next 6 months .. and not sure I will use uhaul again or recommend to my clients of which I service in the real estate business on a daily basis

Quick and fast service. Fair prices. Will use them again.

I’m always amazed how $19.95 turns into $43.00 with nothing extra being done.

People that were on the phone and made my accommodations to rent the van were Very professional and did just what I asked for. Jeff, that waited on me when I picked up the van was very helpful and courteous. Appreciate that they found a close pick up spot to my house for renting this van.

They need to stay open later, and not close at 5.

The U-Haul I rented through Compass Self Storage was perfectly clean and in great working order. I had only one full load to move and it went perfectly. I would recommend them to everyone

While the truck itself was excellent, easy/comfortable to drive, etc., there is a serious problem that apparently affects at least other 15' trucks. The large outside mirrors are IMPOSSIBLE to adjust unless you are VERY, VERY strong. While they can be tilted up/down with no problem, it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to move them left/right. The staff at both pick up and drop off locations said they are extremely, extremely way too difficult for most people to adjust. During our trip from the Kansas City, Missouri, area to central Florida, we met two other people driving 15' U-Haul trucks identical to ours and both had the same problem with the mirrors. And both of them had the same real problem: since the mirrors could not be adjusted left/right, their co-drivers could not drive because, as in my case, the person they had planned on sharing the driving with was too short to safely see the images in the mirrors when they were originally set for initially at pickup. As a result, I had to drive the full 1,200+ miles by myself, which was not safe nor enjoyable. At one gas stop I purchased a can of WD-40, sprayed all around and up in the mirrors, and let the solvent soak until our next stop, hoping we could then adjust the mirrors. Did not work at all. Really, you should not be putting trucks with this mirror issue out on the road. It could be dangerous, plus, it really diminishes customer satisfaction. I had previously only rented Penske vans while I do have a U-Haul hitch on my car and have towed small U-Haul trailers for short trips going back 20-25 years. This was my first experience with a U-Haul van, primarily because the cargo floor was totally flat, without the fuel filler pipe nor the rear tire shrouds infringing on that space. That was very important to us on this trip since we were hauling nearly 100-year old antique glass/oak/iron display cases and we needed a completely flat floor. Again, the truck itself was just perfect. If it had not been as comfortable to drive as it was, I might have not been able to cover the 1,200+ mile as the only driver. Please correct this mirror problem. If the mirrors can be so easily adjusted up/down, there is absolutely no reason they should not be adjustable left/right with the same ease. Thank You.
