Had to go from dealer I placed the request for truck at even through they had a 15 ft truck on site could not rent because it was in state not one way. Sent to dealer in different town to get truck looking for 15 ft truck got a 10 ft truck had a broken side mirrow and passenger head light out

Worst experience ever. Brand new truck broke 4 miles from the pickup location. Additional equipment (pads & hand truck) was not ready & the place was closed. Luckily an employee who happened to be there hanging out helped me get the equipment. Tried to go back with the broken truck, said employee was gone...roadside hot me a replacement but couldnt get it to me, I had to drive the broken truck to another branch since I left my car where I picked up the original truck. Got charged 2 day rental on the broken truck and a day on the replacement, so I got charged $250 for a pickup truck for one day. Neither Roadside dept. Or Customer Service would help, they just kept passing me back and forth for 2 hours when I called to try to figure out the charges. Never using uhaul again and currently emptying my 3 storage units & 2 family members units out because of this experience.

Service great, but why email notifications after 10pm?

The web site would not acknowledge my location for after hours drop off. I was forced to install the app on my phone to get it to acknowledge my location. Also, the truck came with no padlock so I was forced to leave the back unlocked with all the moving pads, furniture dolly and hand truck. This is a poor set up. I hope the stuff is still in there when the open the location.

the checkout process took 25 mintues and there is no way to drop off the trailer where it is secure and that I could prove I left it there

I had originally scheduled the Drop off point in Niantic and had a change of plans and requested an alternate drop off near Middletown. The only negative item was for the UHaul software that would not let the associate transfer the drop off point no matter how hard she tried. She was very accommodating and apologized numerous times for how long it was taking. She ended up transferring the call to her supervisor who was able to handle my request. Thanks for the overall great experience with our families move.

Dealer was very courteous and friendly. He helped me choose the right size vehicle and gave me several cost saving tips. The only thing I would suggest is making U-Haul signage more prominent. I didn't think I was in the right place at first.
