It is not clearly marked. There are 3 different drive ways, none clearly marked. I was lucky to find someone to direct me to the office. After finding the office, everything went smooth. I wish I had rented a truck with a lift/ramp and brought tie downs. The staff in the office were very helpful. My son had no problems dropping off the truck. I'm glad I rented the truck.John S.
Rather upset that I spent over $95 on gas most of it which I did not use. Your policy should be it goes out full and comes back full, not at a fraction of a tank because that is difficult to determine at filling.Leslie H.

I had asked to pick up at the Uhaul in my Madison neighborhood. My email confirmed it. When we arrived at that one on Atlas St, we were told that my pickup had been changed to DeForest which is not remotely close. Nobody even notified me! When I asked why, I was told "Just because this is your preferred location it doesn't mean you'll get it. You'll have to ask them why they didn't call you." There was a 26' truck there but only if I was going round trip so I couldn't use it. By the time we drove to the other one, searched for the correct entrance, found the office, met with the rep who barely looked at me, let alone speak- we wasted an hour!! Horrible customer service all around for pickup and they didn't care. I have never had an issue with Uhaul in the past but will seriously consider elsewhere next time.Lisa A.

I booked one truck with one month in advance in order to pick it up in a U-Haul inside Madison. However, the truck was picked up there at 15 miles away from Madison. I think you must try to guarantee a close pick-up place to whom book with enough time.Barbara I.

Did not have equipment reserved in truck or available at that location. Did not inform me the equipment was not in the truck as suggested at the time of reservation. Were not able to locate desired equipment at another location, was told it was not available within 50 miles of that location. Found it at another location 20 miles away after leaving the original pick up location. Was not contacted with a pick up location for my truck rental, had to place 5 calls to Uhaul to get someone that was able to tell me if/where the truck I had reserved would be available for pick up.jalissa B.

One big improvement would be on the 10' truck to have a loading rails. I had to go out and rent a ramp to load my items up, it was a bit of a hassle. Ramps on trucks are very important to me and probably many others. Thanks for allowing me to respond, I definitely will be renting trucks from your company.CORY R.

I was re-routed by an automated Uhaul email less than 48 hours before the pick-up time for my rental. I was relocated to a Uhaul location more than 20 miles away (from one within 5 miles). I was given no reason for this, no apology, and no voucher for the extra expense which I would incur due to having to drive an additional distance. Signage was poor at the pick-up location and it took me at least 10 minutes before I knew where I could park my car and where the truck was for pick-up. The dolly I requested to be in the truck was not there. There were no representatives on site that day so I simply had to go to another Uhaul store to rent another dolly. That location was unable to provide me with the appropriate rental dolly since they were out of stock at the moment. I rented a different kind of dolly, but that Uhaul location was, again, unable to compensate me for the cost of renting a dolly, despite the first missing dolly also being Uhaul's mistake (albeit at another location). When returning the truck, I included in the return form that the dolly was not missing and that I should not be charged for the dolly from the original location (since it wasn't there). I have received no notification from Uhaul, other than perhaps immediately after submitting the form, that this discrepancy is being looked into. When I received a receipt 3 business days after my rental, there was no mention that there was a discrepancy in the charges. Overall, Uhaul has failed to communicate with me as a customer and has failed to provide appropriate service.Christopher N.

The tires didn't have much of a tread and when we dropped it off at the next location, this was noted to us as if we had something to do with it in the few miles we drove it. The pick-up location was not easy to locate. The signage was misleading. And the business felt like a junkyard.Ronald P.

The truck was full of snow and they had not started it to warm up and then had to get someone to plow the snow out in front of it before we left. It would rev to 3-4000 rpm before it shifted I wasn't sure it would make the trip and then we had to drive to another location to get utility dollies and this wasn't the location we had originally requested and had to drive out of town to get the truck this took extra time for us which is not what I would call good serviceKaren M.

it was hard to figure out where to go and where the office actually was. We parked the trailer where we were told to leave it and left the paperwork where we were told to leave it and then got a notice that we hadn't returned the trailer. This wasn't the smoothest operation ever.vint Q.
Super unorganized and dirty. He just asked if I needed help hooking up and me being a guy that works for a company that hauls trailers all day did not need help hooking up a trailer. He told me to drive around back and find the trailer with the correct model number and that is the one i needed. I had to drive around a find it and then move another trailer to get to mine. He never even asked for my Drivers License. Super unprofessional and very dirty work environment. I would of never went there if other near by UHaul locations had the 5x8 trailer I needed.Bret R.
The 24/7 pick up option is seriously flawed. It needs to be reconfigured. Would it really be such a large expense to put cruise control, power windows and mirrors on the truck? And in the cargo area of the truck, put .125" larger spacers on the rails.Joseph H.
This review is to do with U-Haul in general and not the location. U-Haul was terrible to work with. I reserved a 26 foot truck and received a call 2 days ahead of when we were to pick it up that no one within 50 miles had that size. We had to drive 2 hours out of our way to pick up a truck. The first call I received to set this up did not actually Guarantee that truck and I called back again to confirm only to be told that the previous representative did not lock in the reservation. No one seemed to care or notice that was a problem. I cancelled our second reservation with U-Haul and will never do business with them again.Diane S.
This location guaranteed me a 15' truck in my reservation with customer service. When I arrived at the location, there were 3 entrances with two of them advertising Uhaul equipment for rent. I finally found where I needed to go, driveway #3, the last one I checked! Not happy about driving aimlessly around their property! Then I was given the choice of a 10' or a 26' truck... because they didn't know what happened to the keys for their one & only 15 footer. No way was I taking the MONSTER TRUCK... so we talked about him giving me mileage discount (.35 cents a mile). I had no idea there wasn't a ramp on this truck. I have bad knees, back & neck... having to climb in and out of that damn truck KILLED ME!! And having to make several trips because of the size of the small 10'!! But after all this I was going to let it go... but then they over charged me!! I was charged initially approximately $53, then later in the day, they made a second withdrawal from my checking account!! This Cory person refuses to answer the phone & doesn't return calls!!! There's only one number to call & you get to leave a message, nobody'll answer!!! I'M PISSED OFF & WANT THAT $50 THAT'S GUARANTEED IF MY RENTAL WASN'T AVAILABLE!!! We were told 15 min before our pick up time that the location had changed and was now 30 minutes from our home. When we arrived we were told the dolly, all moving blankets, and plastic covers we had ordered we're unavailable. This resulted in us needing to go back to the original uhaul place we wanted to pick up at in the first place. Our move was behind by an hour and we ended up missing the gentleman who was to let us into the storage unit. The business covers three separate driveways. Approximately a hundred yards apart and separated by fences. You must walk on the main Access Road to get to the other areas of the business. Parking is the opposite end from the office. Very rude employees direct you where you can't park. The main U-Haul office is a shambles. Extremely cluttered and no greeting or acknowledgement from the employees. In fact you have to walk by an open bathroom to get to the main U-Haul office. It just feels very disorganized, very cluttered and unprofessional. I will not do business with them again.Michael G.
