LAUREN CMy equipment was changed two days before rental due to lack of pickup trucks in area. When I went to pick up different equipment I saw pickup truck there. Resulted in me making multiple trips during my move and cost me more money in mileage.

JEFFREY MI reserved on-line, but my chosen options were ignored. This cost me an extra $15.oo And then, I returned at 4:10 only to see that they closed at 4:PM! I was charged another $20 for an "after hour dropoff". I was unaware of this charge and the early closing time, but I'm sure it was included in the 26 Page Contract that they emailed to me that day. BUYER BEWARE

Michael SI was given a 15” truck to drive my family 200 miles to a different state in only to find out the truck is not safe to drive. We got 40 miles down the road and upon entering a major highway the ABS red light came up on the dashboard. We made sure to not go high speed as we were going 45 mph in the far right lane because the truck started to feel like the brake wasn’t as responsive as it should be, like we had to use a heavy foot but we were unsure if it was because of weight being held in the back of the truck. Not 1 mile down the road SUDDENLY the front right tire blew out on the highway and we, THANKFULLY, we’re able to pull over to the side of the highway safely. We waited 2 hours for a mechanic to replace said tire on the side of the highway only to find out that the truck was not safe to drive, as told to us by the mechanic, as the wheel bearing was completely shot. The mechanic himself said there’s NO WAY anybody could have inspected this truck and if they did it’s been since God knows how long!! After this we waited another 2 hours on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck to tow us to Philadelphia. Up until now, I’ve supposedly been assigned a case and someone should be reaching out to discuss my reimbursement and yet 6 days later, no phone calls. It was a horrible + UNSAFE experience, 4 hours waiting on the side of the highway with my 3 year old son and partner, and completely derailed our timeline as we had family and movers waiting at our offloading location. Aside from incurring extra costs paying the movers who were WAITING BUT also putting in $60 of gas only to sitting on the side of the highway. My 3 year old son was constipated for two days following this because he had to go to the bathroom during this event but didn’t feel comfortable using the bathroom squatting on the side of the highway. Very disappointed that no one has reached out all week to speak to me, they took my money and charged my card from the moment I picked up the truck however if the tables were turned and I had left so much as a Dent on the truck upon return, they would be calling me non stop and making sure they get their money for it! DESPICABLE What was suppose to be a 4 hr trip and smooth move in turned into nearly 11 hrs and a nightmare!

Eduard VIt took me 30 minutes to check out. Neither the UHaul app, nor the website was working for me. 1st call to Uhaul sent me a video indicating I'd get the info on the app even though I told her that the app wasn't working. 2nd call resolved access to combo for key using a new website, but key lock box did not open with code. While on the phone for the 3rd time I was finally able to jiggle lock box open.

Matthew FWhen I got tot he venue to pick up the 9 foot van, I was told it wasn't available and that we were being given a 10 foot box truck. I reserved the van in June expecting to find what I had reserved. The service was not great and when I called "headquarters" in the Bronx the person on the phone was completley unhelpful. Terrible expereince and I would not recommend UHaul or use you again unless there is no other option.
Samuel EPickup place didn’t know about my reservation. No furniture pads as promised. Every time I called to verify my reservation the price went up and the miles allowed went down. The workers at the location couldn’t be bothered to help me. Drop off location made me sit in the truck without telling Me wahat to do. I was charger a $1.09 even though the woman said thst she would not I waited over an hour to pickup the truck. I had to make several calls to get the truck and had to burden my friends with calls from I haul to verify my identity. First I was charged 190. Then 203 and then 208 person on the phone was rude and uncooperative 123 miles to Manhattan is just not enough to cover extra miles that are typically associated with a move
john lLiz was great. UHaul changed our drop off location and didn’t inform us. She problem solved and found a solution. UHaul, please fix this problem! It’s not ok to have tired customers rerun a truck only for them to arrive at the drop off location and find out the locale has been moved 30 min away!
Steven OOnly drawback is that there is very little to none cellphone reception in that area. This is not the fault of Consumers Tire and Alignment. It makes it difficult to login for vehicle pickup and dropoff.
Mark JConvenient and reasonable. Only issue was slow computer connection.
michael pI could not find the key drop box after looking for a half hour. The store was closed. I did leave a message & later at night someone called me, apologized & told me where the drop box was hidden. Now I have to return the key there.
Thomas RMy recent technology-enabled U-Haul experiences have been dramatically better than my other truck rental experiences in recent years. U-Haul has done a great job implementing technology to facilitate the rental process.

Paul GDirections were inaccurate to start. Then I was scammed and overcharged. The contract did not lay out extra charges for fuel and a fuel service charge. In addition to the rental fee and mileage, I was charged over $50 for driving ten miles. The company blatantly lied about my gas usage and charged a wild service fee. Would never recommend. Class act
William GThe van was clean but dashboard could have used a good wipe down. Also the person before me left a plastic cup that I wasn’t gonna touch. The van handling was ok but felt like it could use some oil or TLC. Pickup was easy through the app. Recommend filling out as much of the pick up info ahead of time. Also recommend arriving 20 minutes early cuz going through the app takes time. My key was in the lockbox and it was easy to retrieve. First time I did U-Haul solely through the app. Experience was great—van worked for my move and when I called in to get help with extending my rental time they accommodated me and also gave me a phone # to call if I had trouble dropping off the key (which I called because I did have trouble). Only thing about renting in NY is it’s always so much more expensive than other cities like Las Vegas.

Douglas RThe online rental site is glitchy . It froze in the middle of making a reservation so I started the process over . Apparently the first reservation went through but it never notified me . Apparently I was supposed to pick up a vehicle at a location I didn’t choose but I was charged $50 for not showing up . The app only works well if you have good WIFI or cell service , which we don’t have .
Christian SOn both rentals, they checked back in the car long after I returns it, charging me for an extra day. They also added charges I had not agreed to.

HOOVERSTMID FNothing against the location. The U-haul experience was frustrating and onerous. The demand for two contacts that have to pick up the phone and verify identity...are you kidding me? This after making an advanced reservation, speaking to a u-haul rep the day before, uploading photos of myself, my ID, submitting my cc information.
