The rental location was dingy and cramped. No moving supplies to help with. The blankets rented had been washed and bagged still damp. They were musty. We could not use them. The cab of the truck was dirty. Low gas to start the rental. Worst part was we were rented a truck with a broken right mirror. They had wrapped it in duct tape but it was pointed down. It was extremely dangerous and frustrating, sometimes scary. Truck should never have been rented to our family.

Take away their ability to rent out equipment. The owner is rude, refuses to take responsibility for his own actions, and does not pay attention to detail. We returned the truck same day we rented it, and he called a week later accusing us of stealing the truck. Pretty sure he rented it out without looking and just decided to blame us. His shop stinks and is messy, he is rude and terrible to deal with. U-Haul company was great and dealt with the situation beautifully, hate this location and will go literally anywhere else.

Shut down this location altogether. The clerk at this U-Haul Neighborhood store (non u-haul) was rude and unprofessional in demeanor before I began speaking, which in turn made me return his same energy. The information i received online for my reservation was misleading and not transparent to the actual location when I went to pick up my reservation. I know U-haul's protocol is to put a charge hold on my card for the equipment and insurance until I return the vehicle and then you guys charge me for the mileage used later on. Instead of paying the initial upfront cost for the equipment and insurance, the clerk also charged me for estimated mileage in addition up front as well, which I would later come to find I used the vehicle more than the mileage I gave to the clerk. I gave him a small estimate so I could at least run my debit card that ended up overdrafting my bank account just to get the transaction to go through because I only had the funds available on hand for what was calculated on the estimate. I used the vehicle to transport steel supplies for temporary work, which my friend (his own small business) supplied me the funds I needed afterwards. And also this location charged a mileage rate higher than U-haul's by $0.20 at $0.89/mile instead of U-haul's $0.69/mile. Zero transparency on this experience and I've been a longtime user of U-haul. I will still use U-haul in the future but now only at actual U-haul stores.

My rental was 30.00 dollars and when getting there to get the truck it was 30.00 extra dollars and I did not get a cent of my money refunded to my account what a rip off !! People do what they want and don’t except consequences are lawsuits behind your money

Dont charge customer for insurance. Offer it!! Read the odometer. Don't put any numbers in. I was overcharged for mileage. Go and read the odometer. Don't guess it. I was overcharged. A lot. I didn't even have the truck 3 hours.

I arrived at 1 o’clock and my reservation had been canceled, forcing me to order a larger truck than I reserved. I was never told that I, forcing me to order a larger truck than I reserved. I was never told that I had to be at the location within 30 minutes of the reservation time or the reservation would be cancelled.

My contract was transferred to another location. The man who owned the store added extra charges on my bill. I declined certain services and he added them into the charge. I had to stand firm to get him to do the right thing. I will never use your services again, nor will I recommend anyone to go pick up a truck from UHAUL

I arrived and had a reservation for pickup at 9:00 am. They informed me that they no longer had my truck and would have to send me to a different location. I then decided to upgrade to a bigger truck (with 0 discounts) as I was in a hurry and was expecting my truck. Kind of crazy I have a reservation and they decide to just not provide the vehicle...

This U HAUl office location is not the same as other Uhaul location, even at the same neighborhood, (Across the street). The Truck AC wasn't work , (Houston weather was 106 degrees) Inside the truck was 120 + Poor customer service at this location, Open late (9:00 AM ) and closed early (3:00PM)

The uhaul truck’s air went in and out during the entire drive. The location itself had no air conditioning in Texas weather during a heat warning. The system was very antiquated.

We rent a 3 bed truck and was overheating, need to waiting for U-Haul service ( that was fast and great) but we lost a least 4 hours from our schedule… I think was a wrong location to rent a U-Haul!

The gentleman at this location is extremely rude and snarky. There’s no ac inside so it was extremely hard in the store while waiting in line. The dolley I rented didn’t help at all because it had a flat tire. I will never go to another “authorized dealer” of uhaul. Next time I will go to an actually uhaul store front.

What I chose on my online reservation (#85051068) and what I was charged for in store did not align. I reserved a truck and a dolly with no insurance according to my reservation number. After receiving my receipt i was charged with the truck, insurance and no dolly. The opposite of what I reserved online. The reps at the copy and postal location on dairy ashford put whatever they wanted on my service disregarding what was on my actual reservation which was inconvenient for your customer.

They must ask if you have your own insurance and not only charge because they want to, that's UNACCEPTABLE!!... They don't speak fluent English so it was a bit difficult to explain everything. I got their place as a walk in. Didn't make a reservation, they made everything on the system and I didn't know anything about the insurance untill they charged for it when I returned the truck. This kind of service should be explained very well to void any misunderstanding!!

The truck was old and dirty on the inside and had to drive in 3rd gear and the truck was so loud we couldn’t hear the music the man working at the store was rude to use cause we was black which just terrible in this day and time I will not be referring this company and I will be doing a review on google

I got a bad harness installation, risk of accident, I left houston around 3pm, when it got darker that night I turned on the lights, and I noticed the cars passing me were switching lights and using the horn, I stopped on the next rest area and realized I had no lights at the trailer. "lucky" for me the hazard lights were working and I was able to move to the next rest area.

Pre-existing damage all over, but owner didn't offer to do a walk-around, or even warn the roof leaks, or ask us to sign agreeing what the gas gauge is at. Then we got billed an extra $20 one day later, without specification of what we allegedly did wrong. Was a last-minute reservation because your Westchase location had clients keeping THREE trucks late without bringing them back as scheduled all on the same day (let's face it: that's the price of living in a 40% negro area, not uhaul's fault) and a week earlier, the Westchase location barely got a 20' truck to us (that one was brought back only 1 hour later than scheduled by the negress "queen"...i got lucky) so SUGGESTION: don't let anyone schedule to pick up a truck within 3 or 6 hours or so after the prior driver was scheduled to bring it back in cities like Houston, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, etc. In contrast, San Antonio (mostly Mexi) we've never had this problem & 100% of the drivers that uhaul's rep called to yell at them "i have other customers coming in for that truck, i need MY truck back NOW," responded with schwoogie voices, "uh, but it full of mah furniture, what cans ah do?" so "Then why didn't you call me yesterday when you saw that you'd be running a full 24 hours late" haha...so glad we're moving into the countryside, near Chinatown. Chinese sections of cities & country folk don't cause these headaches & burden others on a regular basis, and even the little Guatemalans moved our furniture faster, packed more into less space and lifted the big heavy boxes faster & with less damage than the 1 schwoogie we hired. "The house next door to me was sold to n..." :-)

The person who rented me the 20" truck at this location did not speak English very well. He was not truthful about how much U-haul was charging per mile and he did not ask me if I wanted "safe driver insurance," instead he just charged me for it.
