The whole no contact pick up is really a pain because when the app’s not working to upload the pictures, you can’t move on. It’s literally over an hour just to rent a truck with no contact second they’re in terrible parts of town almost got attacked, but I definitely got yelled at by transient at the bus stop where I had to back up far enough just to take a picture literally I guess I was standing in the living room pretty dangerous at 1:30 in the morning and the only reason why I have to do it at 1:30 in the morning because I work until that time and behavioral health it’s time consuming mentally city and I did not feel safe on top of it. All I feel like the price that I paid at the end is really high for a truck advertised at 1995 rental. I went 8 miles one way and 8 miles back and then the miles it took me two tickets to your drop off point because you guys didn’t let me drop it off Anywhere closer when I was done at my storage your customer service so the people to answer your phone at one in the morning I woke up the lady and she was pretty grouchy about it and she didn’t have an answer for any of the questions that I had for her so yeah, the overall experience was one way overpriced way overpriced didn’t even come with a ramp didn’t even come with hydraulics to lower for my bike that’s why I rented it to move a motorcycle and then worst neighborhood mind you are from California and this is like the ugliest disgusting most dirtiest area with hardly any correct lighting yeah it has lights on top, but it’s only lighting up the top of the truck. The truck was literally parked like a hairline away from the next one so I had to move it out to take pictures Anyways I just think it was a terrible experience and I’m very disappointed in U-Haul.

The outside of the truck needs to be washed. The employee in the store was rude and kept telling me things about the charges that weren’t true then said his dad is the one that runs the U-Haul and knows about how things work with fees. I tried getting help with fees and the return process and he just kept talking over me when I was trying to show him the issue.

Probably not. Although the customer service was awesome & the gentlemen was very helpful & quick in helping us. The location its self was not in a very good part of town compared to other ones that I saw or passed on the way to this location.

Reserved a week ahead, was called the morning of pick-up to come in early to do the rep “a solid” because he wanted to leave. Called to confirm check-in/return no answer, so didn’t want to drive after hauling that day, came to return the next am at 7 and was told I’d be charged for 2 days. So double charged after being told to come in early and told that the only U-Haul rep was leaving work early and he’s the only person that could rent the trailer. Somehow that was my fault after reserving days in advance.

They did not have the dollys that I paid for. I was sent to another location down the road to get the dolly’s and they also did not have the dolly’s I paid for.

The truck was very dirty in the cab and the exterior. Windows were dirty. We started with a little over a quarter tank of gas. There does not seem to be any pride taken in maintaining their vans.

I got charged $70 for fuel when I left it with a quarter of a tank, just the way I got it. CS filed a complaint with the store and they never responded!

The truck was very dirty and disgusting inside. There were blankets thrown into the back of the truck and when I questioned it with the staff inside the person I was talking with started the conversation very aggressively, like I did something wrong. He calmed down once I fully explained what was going on but not a good way to start a conversation with a customer.

I had a homeless guy living in my U-Haul I rented I booked a week in advance and didn’t have any the equipment I needed

I was charged for a dolly I never received and when I went inside the store the clerk was rude and stated that they had nothing to-do with Uhal and couldn't assist in anyway never again will I use this method of reservation and the information that is needed it's all very tedious.

The truck was on empty when we picked it up. The battery died and had to be jumped. Location moved night before and was not ideal.

The gas station they made me drop off at was far from my home , in a very dangerous area . The co Vince store was very dirty and the guy was no help . I was scared to be even in the place . There were drug dealers and prostitution around . The 7-11 literally had only one u hall in the parking lot .

I didn't realize the uhaul store I used was not a real uhaul store but a sub contractor run out of a convenience store. None of the staff knew how to use the app and it kept crashing. I won't do this again.

I was sent to a location that I needed to use the app. which I knew nothing about, it did not work on my phone, but the employee helped me through the process, with out him I would not have been able to get the truck. I made the reservation at a location much closer to where I was staying, with real people to get me my truck. I am 68 and a lot of my generation are not App. savvy, so it is frustrating for us to use the App. process. My camera was not able to take a picture of my license, tried 3 times, employee had to use his to complete process. If it wasn't for the employee I wouldn't have been able to complete the process and get the truck. I have an iPhone. The employee was very helpful, but I was surprised at where I was picking up the truck, I thought I was going to a U-haul location. If my wife hadn't seen a u-haul truck parked by the convince store, I might still be looking for the place, my truck was parked in the back of the convince store. Not what I was expecting for sure.

This was my first time renting a truck offsite. I didn't realize the rental experience would start at a convenience store. That was my fault for not renting from a Uhaul site. The clerk at the convenience store was extremely nice and helpful. The problem initiated when using Uhaul website/app where it took 45 min to access and confirm my reservation. Then when I got to the truck, the old truck was beat up with dents on a few locations and dirty. It ran really rough, made loud noises and the dashboard light was on. I've rented from Uhaul in the past and always had a positive experience. This experience was below average so I will never rent a Uhaul truck outside a Uhaul lot ever again.

I was stinky to cigarette the truck and I had a very bad experience with the application and the website, too slow, it was too much, and I wouldn't let myself finish both the pick up and the drop off and the service in Spanish too much waiting on the line for a representative to answer the call. if possible I would never rent their services again.

U-Haul transferred my truck to a different location. The location I got could not pick up at the counter. Had to do a lockbox. Spent 1 hour trying to get my keys. Unacceptable. Very bad business practice.

Being able to pickup my reservation took an extremely long time as my information had been done incorrectly. Although the representatives at Corner Express were helpful and nice. The representatives at uhual location on McDowell and 24th and whoever they spoke to on the phone with were very degrading. They spoke ill about me(the customer) and I was within listening distance. I will absolutely do my best to avoid uhual for future moving needs. Super confusing experience and not all employees are on the same page in regards to policies and transparency.
