Spent 3 hrs there trying rent a 15 ft truck. System is not user friendly but the employee that assisted us was fantastic. The way things are charged aut are a disaster.

Was told at pick up that I would get credit back for the days I didn't use. They had me down for 6 days only had it three days. They place I dropped it off said you get nothing back so that's a big ???? Don't understand. Please reply and thank you.

The U-Haul itself was great, but the service at the pick up location was not. It took over 45 minutes for the staff member to figure out how to check out the U-Haul.

I put $70 of gas into my truck. I turned it in around 7-8pm with the same amount of gas as I picked it up with. The lady is just outside smoking cigarettes the whole time I’m getting my stuff out. So when I finish I go and ask does she work here and she says yes so I gave her the keys. I get my receipt in the morning at 7:25am. I’m charged $54 and some change for the fuel being returned on empty and an additional $30 for a “fuel service fee”. I immediately call the store letting her know they must’ve made a mistake because I rent trucks all the time and I know to return it on the gas it left at. She tells me she just checked it in herself and she can take a picture if she needs to and tells me she’ll call me right back she’s gonna go outside. About 5 mins goes by and I receive no call back so I call myself and she’s still saying the same thing so I tell her I’ll call U-Haul if I need to and she tells me to go ahead. I call U-Haul and I tell the person my story and he then transfers me to the Kansas City regional office. I speak with a lady named Bernie and I once again tell her my story. She lets me know she’s gonna call them and will be right back. A few mins goes by and she gets back on the phone to tell me they aren’t open she tried calling and there is nobody to answer the phone. She then tells me my truck was checked in at 5:30pm the night before and it is indeed on empty. Im literally so confused so I let her know literally everything she just said was wrong. They were open because I just spoke with the women that works there. My truck was not even returned by 5:30pm so there’s no way it could have been checked in that doesn’t make any sense. Also, on my receipt I can see the check in time is 7:25am. My truck had the exact amount that I returned it on. She started arguing with me and just talking every time I talked so I asked to speak with someone else that can handle the situation. She told me the only other guy that can isn’t in the office and she can put me on his call list. I told her I’d rather not wait 2-3 days for a call and I wanted to handle it now so is there someone else I can speak with. She told me that’s all she can do so I asked when she thinks I would receive a call back. She tells me she doesn’t know she can’t tell me it can be around 3 days. So I asked her if she can even give me an estimated date, his email or any information at all. She tells me all she can do is put me on the list. So fed up I get off the call and about 2 mins later I get a phone call from a random number. I don’t know who the man was but he told me they checked the truck and it was at the correct level and they will reimburse me. I’ve already hated this place and haven’t came here in a long time. I literally only came here because it was the only 26ft truck in the area. I’m not sure if the new owners are behind it or what but the place sucks.

Reserved a truck about a week in advance for a military move, and ended up calling in a couple days later to reschedule one of the days I already reserved for and was able to do so over the phone in a timely manner. The day of pick up, the lady in the market was very sweet and inviting, was very genuine and made the move so much more easier for us. We ended up extending an extra day after our first move day, and then a couple hours later asked to return the truck, and were able to without being charged an extra day. Which helped us a lot considering it was just my husband and I moving, and me being very pregnant. Overall the experience and timing of everything was excellent and would recommend to our friends or anyone in the area!
