It was a nightmare! Once I stopped trying to rent the van via website & app, all the while on the phone with uhaul for over 30 minutes, I get informed you can NOT pick up via website & app, you have to go a block down, which I walked, got helped by a very nice lady, who gave me the keybox code, walked back to the van & finally got on the road. While all this happened, the movers were waiting at the house. As I said, it was an utter nightmare, in 100Â°+ Temps, on top of everything. Lock was hard to open. Not sure if code letters should be up, down or in the middle of the line. Had difficulty with privacy settings on phone that was easily remedied when customer service was available. This was our first time for 24/7 but the system was very easy and convenient to use. There was no drop box for the key although the code to the gate worked. They have two locations which may be the mixup.James C.
Drop off was not a good experience. Used the app and had no idea all the photos we would have to take. Just 2 parking spots at the location. Very dark.Warren K.
I had a reservation for a10' truck. Upon arrival was told that â€œthe 10' truck is broken and being worked onâ€. As it was our only day this week to move we had to get a 15' truck at an additional price. No apology, no offer of renting it to us at the same price as the 10' we had a reservation for. The 15' was filthy with empty drink cans, chip bags, and dog treat bags in the passenger cabin. I would only recommend this location if it was the last place someone could get a Uhaul in Cottonwood or the Verde Valley.Kristin L.

I reserved a truck and 2 dollys 10 days in advance. When I arrived I was re-directed to another site that was not open for 2 hours to pick up the truck I had reserved. After waiting the 2 hours I arrived at the 2nd location. I was told the truck was at a 3rd location, and the man could not find any dollys. As he was readying to go to the truck location, he remarked as he put on his red, MAGA Trump ball cap that he had such good ideas because he was a Trump supporter and that any liberal democrats would never be so smart as him! He then proceeded to look in vain for the dollys I reserved, left me locked behind a gate while he drove around having good ideas and then told me that I would have to drive across town in the truck to look for dollys at another location. His disparaging words towards my political affiliation, coupled with the fact he was wearing a Trump hat at work was shocking and rude!! His comments made me angry, and his incompetence proved he was indeed a Trump supporter. I will drive to Flagstaff before I ever rent a vehicle from that moron!!!!Dennis C.

Originally had a truck reserved in Flagstaff. They called afternoon before to tell us that despite a reservation confirmation, there was no truck. No offer to help. This location in Cottonwood, upon realizing they didn't have our truck, called customers for return times and then called UHaul and got us a replacement. The customer service at Cottonwood Cool Storage was outstanding. Overall, UHaul needs a better process for managing reservations. We could have been in real trouble with no truck to move our belongings on our daughters last day of residence. Not honoring confirmed reservations is just unacceptable for a company as large as UHaul.Vivian S.

This was a horrible experience, you guys probably need to retrain your phone reps because every piece of information I was given until the actual pick up day was wrong. I was told on the phone that I could keep the truck for the quoted price for two days and 136 miles. At check out we were charged for 18 miles of overage because the allowed milage was 118 and not 136. Also, I was quoted 170 something dollars and asked if that included everything because I was reserving this truck for my grandmas move and she needed to know how much she was paying. But at pick up I was charged $330 for insurance, deposits, tax and some other bs. It's one thing to be off by $20 or $30 but but $160 is too much to surprise a customer with. Not to mention when we went to get the truck we were sent to a different location with two different codes to a gate and a lock box where the keys were not and had to search thr truck for the keys. All around unprofessional and bad customer service. I'll never use uhaul again just because of the total lack of knowledge and professionalism.katie S.

Office had moved location in November but information supplied by U-Haul still showed old address. After reaching supplied address a tricky reverse out onto a busy road was then required. After reaching the new location there was no staff member in attendance and I had to wait for a staff member to return. There is no excuse for this lack of customer service. Very poor.Christopher A.

I definitely would recommend this place to do business with. Stacey, Aron, and Nicole were all very very helpful with our 2 moves and rental storage till we closed on out new home. NOW BEWARE I was parking my rental truck unit at a local motel to sleep and unload in the a.m. I was approached by another U-Haul dealer (AZ Postal Shipping) that I had to turn my truck into him as soon as I emptied it. I called my rental yard and U-Haul dealer (above) and they apologized for this person and said to bring the truck to them as my rental agreement stated.
