I am extremely disappointed with my recent U-Haul experience. I made my reservation on January 13, expecting a smooth and organized pickup. However, when I arrived at the scheduled location, the truck was not ready for me. Instead of honoring my reservation, I was sent to another location, which caused unnecessary stress and delays during an already busy moving day. To make matters worse, the truck I was given was not in good condition. The vehicle shook the entire drive from Alabama to Atlanta, which made the trip uncomfortable and honestly unsafe. No customer should have to worry about the reliability of a rental truck during a long-distance move. Although my return date was January 14, I received repeated calls asking when I would be returning the truck — despite being within my rental agreement timeframe. On top of that, they attempted to charge my card an additional fee but could not clearly explain what the charge was for. The lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable. Overall, this experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and stressful. I expected better organization, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
