I loaded the trailer myself because the man was busy with his business, he was very nice and after I go the trailer home I found out that the straps had been cut so my vehicle could not be strapped down using the provided straps so I had to go buy ratchet straps to get my vehicle down south.Marsha M.
I had a truck rented in Sault Ste Marie. My reservation meant nothing clearly as the truck was not there. I had to drive to Bruce Mines on the morning of my moving day to get a truck. The service in Bruce Mines was good but i would never use UHaul again.Steve S.
UHaul trailers and trucks mostly transport people's personal furniture and belongings. It would be great to have the trailer cleaned (with a power washer) before the customer picks up. The maintenance seemed to be in good working order.Pat S.

I'm very happy with the pickup location I'm not impressed with the drop off location which was marathon Ontario so due to these servomechanisms I will never use u haul ever again I rented a truck just to use as a ride to marathon to pick up a truck I bought up there and had no ride so used as a rental car and they are trying to tell me I don't get my deposit back because truck was a mess with no photos to prove it I've asked to see pictures and truck number as I have the truck number I think this is a very unprofessional way to deal with it and will never recommend uhaul to anyone again Jay UnderhillJay U.
The trailer floor was covered with bedding straw like you see in a farm stall and it smelled like a barn. I had to clean it out in early morning. Lucky I had a broom. 3 of the 4 tires were bald and the right rear most tire has a slow leak. I am certain the trailer tires would not pass a MVI.Bruce M.
It was after hours when I returned the truck and was told when I rented it, if I returned it earlier, the insurance "not used" would be returned to me. When I contacted this location the next day, nobody returned my call. I then went to this location and spoke to the owner responsible for UHaul and he wasn't interested in what I had to say, nor offered any resolution. I had to call the Uhaul main office to get my monies returned. He could have done the same, been kinder about it, and had a good review. Simply didn't seem like he cared.MIROSLAV P.

The location and customer service was well over and above. My issue is that I booked in Sault Ste. Marie, then was told there was a trailer in Richard's Landing, then I ended up having to go to Bruce Mines, an hour and a half round trip, just to get a trailer. I was also supposed to receive a $50 credit, since I had received a 'guaranteed' rental confirmation, which I have not received. The system as a whole needs a great deal of improvement. I will not likely use U-Haul again, unless I'm desperate.JOELA T.

One thing you do is when quote people price at first that what should be when you go to pick it up .and another you schould not have make people drive two hours to drop off when their are place 15 mins away .and this thing charging people if drop it off at the closest place crazy and if to send people to pick it up that your problem not the customers felt and charge them more .was not happy about that at all .Judith L.

Need to double-check the contract. Trusting his word, I was told that the mileage was 70 cents per mile and was charged $1.43 per mile. I should have checked the written copy before leaving. I was suppose to have a quarter of a tank of gas, it was actually less. The vehicle was NOT verified when I returned it so damage could have happened between my return and the next morning (thankfully there was none). My estimated calculation of $125.00 to transport a small lawn tractor for which a 4' X 8' trailer could have done the job to me was an acceptable option since this U-Haul dealer did not have such a trailer on site. To top it off, upon returning the truck, there was exactly that trailer available. Seems that dealer could have advised that one would be available later that day. This is not the first time I use U-Haul but this was an extremely disappointing and expensive experience. I feel I was taken advantage of for the extra money.JEANNETTE A.

I was supposed to pick up the trailer from u-haul location in Sudbury, ON on Oct 10th, Saturday, but after reaching there after driving more than 2 hours, i got a text message about 30 mins before picking up that the pick up location has been changed to Bruce mines, ON. I did not get a call from Scheduling to inform this major change. I was only able to get the trailer next day and i spent next day as well to get this trailer. My trip got delayed and i incurred extra storage costs, accommodation cost traveling costs along with my time. Not happy with this unpleasant experience.Kam K.
I booked my truck 3 wks. before pick-up in Elliot Lake and expected to pick up my equipment in Elliot Lake. Two days before I was to pick up my equipment I received a phone call telling me there was no truck in Elliot Lake and if I wanted my rental I would have to drive an hour and 45 minutes to go pick up a truck. After arriving to pick up my rental, it took 30 minutes just to get the paperwork. I asked the attendant for help with the auto hauler and he told me the customer does that on their own and he was to help me there would be a fee.After arriving back home to load up the handle that raises and lowers the car hauler broke. I just received my invoice i was billed an extra day i had the trailer for two days March 12 2020 picked up at 1pm returned early Saturday March 14 2020 at 7:30 am this was discussed at the time of pickup that if i returned early Saturday morning i would only be charged 2 days, I would like my credit card credited for one day rental including taxes. U-HAUL should upgrade its computer systems. Even though I am a repeat customer & had already checked in on-line, it took over an hour of U-Haul computer delays before I could get my contract approved. I ended up having to use cash to pay for my rental as U-Haul Canada would not accept my USA issued credit cards. This is the second time in 2 months that my pick up time was delayed by U-haul computer delays. The other time I was in the USA when it took forever to get U-Haul computers to workGARY L.

The person at this location was very friendly, nice and helpful. What I don't understand is why you don't ask questions about the truck itself. It was difficult to read the speedometer because it was in miles per hour and we use kilometers in Canada. Also it's ridiculous that you fill the gas tank to only 1/4 full. A full tank would make a lot more sense and be much easier to do.diane S.

I ordered a 26 foot truck over a month ago and uhaul confirms a 20 foot truck the day before moving. WtfJamie L.
Initial pick up location was in Espanola, after multiple phone calls to uhaul, and being hanged up by customer service multiple times i will never recommend uhaul Initial request was a 5x8 trailer, which was not available upon arrival. Purpose was to move a queen bedroom set. They offered me a 4x8, expecting i would still be able to fit my queen bedroom set, once i got to 2nd location for 4x8, once again becoming very irrate, that i wont be able supply my needs. 3rd location is 6x12 trailer, 2,5 away, in Bruce Mines, where uhaul failed to inform me of. After driving over 5 hrs all over north ontario, which could of been prevented. I really wish this would not happen to any other customer, and hope that uhaul can contact me for follow upMelanie P.
Despite having booked a trailer 3 weeks ahead of time I was only contacted 6 hours ahead of my scheduled pick up time to tell me I would have to drive an hour each way to another town to pick up my trailer. The new location also closed very early which meant I lost almost a full day due to U-Haul failing once again. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Booking in advance seems pointless since many times now I have had to drive from an extra 30 minutes to 1 hour each way past my arranged pick up location. The change happens with very little notice despite me planning well in advance each time.Lyle M.

Quick drop off. This location is also an Esso gas station which allowed me to refill the truck in this small town with only one gas station. There was plenty of room to drop off the truck and trailer in the rear.Rick A.

Okay so to explain, I got there. Trailer and truck weren't set up. I had called the day before to make sure it would all be ready when I got there and someone would help me load my car on. The guy told me I had to do it. Over charged me 156 for the truck it was suppose to be 117. the truck got stuck, haven't been moved in Months! Stuck on an ice pad. He left it running for over an hour. Was just throwing sand under the tires. Didn't call for a tow truck, didn't grab wood or anything. I was on the phone with uhaul the whole time. he refused to refund me the money he over charged me and said I had to call uhaul and it wasn't his fault. When I called they said in the notes it shows my quote and that he didn't apply my quote. he smashed the truck into the trailer and got it stuck on the trailer and rather then pulling ahead he rammed it back into it further. I drove away thinking it was fine.. the lights were never plugged in. Told he didn't have time for me and wouldn't put my car on because he was off. And never once appologized for anything! And they weren't calling a tow truck or nothing I had to do it but They were trying to get it unstuck with a Dodge Dakota and finally did but they just were awful.... It was a heck of a time and they told me to take photos and videos of everything so we did. His printer also didn't print and said the copy on my phone was enough. He said he was off soon and couldn't help me. Said "can't you do it?" . When I asked him to pull it to the pumps again he said can't you? And I said no I'm not comfortable right now. And after when I was leaving. Said "how are you doing to get your car on?" And I just left. No sorry. Nothing. I would never recommend this location EVER TO ANYONE.Ashley S.

Why dont you ask about the online pickup experience?? I arrived at the pick up location and tried to get my vehicle. I was advised that no equipment was available. A phone number and contact name was provided. I called 3 times, left 2 messages and sent a text message. Never ever heard from him. I waited until the place opened and the attendant was very helpful and got me on my way - an hour and half LATE!!!!! Brutal.Timothy C.

I originally booked my reservation for Iron Bridge Ontario I called up the location to inquire whether or not they had a queen size mattress bag the location in Iron Bridge notified me that they had not being a U-Haul dealer for almost 2 months I called my Uhaul representative they told me don't worry about it plans were being made two days before my pickup I was notified by email that my pickup would be 28 miles away from my other pickup which put in additional 56 miles on to my trip when I got to Bruce mines pick up station the person who is in charge of Uhaul was not there they were in New Liskeard approximately 6 hours away the attendant that was dealing with me had no paperwork no contract nothing for me to sign just told me to get the trailer did not look over the trailer for damages did not make sure that it was properly hooked up etc etc as I drove home I received a phone call from the person who was supposed to be meet me at the U-Haul as they were in New Liskeard telling me that I had to sign a contract and I took the trailer with a notification etc etc I called up Uhaul to inquire about my $50 guarantee they kept switching me over to customer service told me I did not qualify for the $50 rebate because they were able to find a location which added 56 Mike's to my trip finally customer service told me that they would give me $20 off which I gladly accepted but when I got my bill there was no $20 off and I was charged the entire rate I'm disappointed mostly in the U-Haul customer service which continually transferred me to other extensions and for not taking the original destination off your website and largely more disappointed I was told I was going to get a $20 rebate only to find out I was charged the full rate my drop off location was excellent the customer service was excellent there and I have no problems with them thank youwilliam B.
