I only found confusion with receiving texts trying to upsell trucks and trailers for no extra cost. Although a great concept, Customers shouldn’t become part of the logistics of where they want trucks needed. I paid $400 to use a truck for 1 day. I think I did my part. I wasn’t able to help the U-Haul store owner up north because I had received so many texts I’d already received (not on his behalf). I was confused his request for us to drop off the truck at his store location. It started to feel like spam (again, not on his behalf). He was very nice and helpful, but I have no idea who he was and why I was changing the drop off over a text. I still didn’t get it over the phone. He understood, but I still didn’t. I wanted to help, but I didn’t want to go against my contract. If I would have known all the changes that could have been requested I would have been prepared. Thanks again Andy. I really wish I felt more comfortable changing it. This is the first I had ever rented a truck.

TERGEL BTm4588R. Couldn’t figure out why while on highway the wind was so loud on the drivers door, thought the door wasn’t closed or the window wasn’t closed all the way. I looked and you can see the top of the door was bent and dings along the gasket. It’s an older beat up truck, runs great but I’ll be real careful next time I rent.

ADAM KI got very upset with the system to get the keys. I chose to do all on my phone, and the app didn’t say I needed to go talk with someone to give me the keys. If the process needs to talk with someone, I didn’t understand why there is an option to do on mobile. I lost 30 minutes of my rental time trying to figure it out and of course delay everything afterwards. It may be silly, but what is obvious for you, may not be for who never did it before. I just wish the steps be clearer and faster. As send pictures of documents or drivers when booking the rent instead of do it when pick up the rental. I lost my tool case and Bob from the store, he was amazing and helped me trying to figure it out what happened and saved it for me. After all, it’s fine. Would recommend but also alert about my situation.

SOFIA RGenuinely the worst experience I have had with U-Haul. The worker was oddly standoffish when I go to return. I was in the parking lot at 4:15 (the time of return) waiting for him to come out while I was transferring some gear to my truck, he doesn’t come out I go back into the store asking for him. he tells me I’m late when I was in the parking lot on time. He asks me is the truck clean it was I only had furniture in the truck. Nothing that would leave residue or dirt. He tells me I can leave leave I later see he charged me an extra day and a cleaning fee. I will never under any circumstance use that location again. I love U-Haul I use it 2-3 times a week I’m on a first name basis at locations but I will not be brining anymore buisness to the Craftwood location.

TAYLOR LI found everything to be easy and worked well this morning. The only thing that would make it easier to rent would be an online site. Last night I tried to get more information on price and if I could reserve a van for the morning, but was unable to get any of that information. I was lucky that there was availability when I called in the morning.
TERRI MThe U HAUL website is a nightmare. I created an account on my PC and then downloaded the app and I had to re-enter all of my data again. I got the "Success" screen for loading my drivers license photos and could see my reservation. When I went to pick up the van the next day the agent could not see my info. So, needed to give him all of that again and re-take my drivers license photos. It did keep my credit card info... So, this is a terrible customer service experience in the booking department. When I spoke with the agent he assured me that he had heard my comments before, he apologized and encouraged me to "just call us" next time.
MARGERY JIf I could give the experience minus 10 stars, I would. The after-hours online check in is a joke. Avoid at all costs. (That said, the van was fine and the location is good, too.)
Mark HMy truck broke down The battery was 7 years old and died 1 hour after I rented the truck. Battery was past its useful life and left me stranded with a loaded truck while having to pay my movers an hourly rate. !

Bruce KFirst employee that helped us when we picked up the U-Haul was kind. Unfortunately, my boyfriend’s parents returned to this same location a few hours later to purchase moving supplies and a thin/tall white male worker was rude to them when they asked about moving supplies. They asked this same man for a dolly and he lied and said there wasn’t one available. Pathetic. Luckily, another worker gladly let them borrow one. Won’t be returning to this location again. Employees at this location are unwelcoming and lack customer service skills. Won’t be recommending this place to anyone.
