U-box : Get rid of all wood/tarp boxes and switch to the solid with metal frames and seals. Wooden boxes often have interior water damage, warped doors that don't seal, torn tarping, and non-functional Velcro closures.

Wayne M.My comments are mostly for the U-Box itself. I really did not like the design of the box as I felt it was difficult to use in a few ways. The vinyl wrapping was very difficult to get stuck back up to the top of the box, the box also had two holes stabbed through it that had the potential to damage my items. Luckily nothing was damaged but I'm not sure what happened and no one mentioned anything to me until I went to unload my items and noticed the damage to the box. I thought the box would be made out of a hard plastic or metal but it's actually just a wood box wrapped in a tarp with velcro. I also thought it was a little shady to include all the furniture pads “for free†but actually you have to buy them if they aren't returned.

If the truck will not be available at the selected location, the customer should be notified by phone, that the truck will not be available for pickup at the selected location. I paid in advance... Having a Note on the Receipt that states: "This location is a preference only." ... is NOT customer service. This makes me want to use another rental company next time. This is my 2nd U-Haul rental in the past 12 months.
