Lori SWe noticed a small oil, leak, and a slightly low tire. Which didn’t seem to give us any trouble. We also noticed a tremendous shaking when driving on the freeway on the way to grass Valley. We reported this when we dropped the vehicle off at the egg place in grass Valley. All of the, U-Haul personnel were absolutely fabulous! The truck was clean and in good shape. Thank you so much.

Josefina RPlease make sure the gas tank level is accurately captured. The mileage estimate (mpg) was incorrectly quoted by agent as 13 mpg (average) for the van. So I ended up filling several gallons extra fuel. Since the van was pretty new the fuel efficiency was much better than average.

andre tThe person at this sales point of U Haul needs to improve his customer service expertise. • No eye contact or friendly conversation during the contracting process. • Ask me “Where are you from originally"? U Haul should train their crew to avoid such kinds of unnecessary questions. • He let me wait about 15 min after completing my paperwork to hand over the truck to me because he checked out another customer who showed up after me; he said he is the only person running this sales point and he needs to finish the paperwork for all before handing over trucks to us, we were only two customers. • He left me a voice message at night after dropping the truck off saying that my credit card on file did not work and my contract will remain open until I fix this problem, I called him back, but no one answered, I called U Haul directly and they confirm there is no problem with my card on file and they proceed payment regularly. • I locked the truck and forgot the key inside it when I drop off the truck; he said there is no spare key available at this sales point to unlock the truck, I called road assistance with U Haul; they requested $210 to unlock the truck, which is expensive; I called a locksmith service, which cost me $100 only; there was zero support from the sales point to help me resolving this issue, I have a similar issue with U Haul main branch 3 years ago and they were very helpful to resolve the problem without any extra charges. I hope this guy accepts the above comments as a piece of advice to improve himself in how dealing with customers in a professional matter, this will increase sales and open for you more connections with customers; these customers might offer you good opportunities if they like your performance during this process. I would avoid this sales point moving forward, but I would use U Haul if I moved again because I had a great experience with other branches.
Muhammed HWasn't satisfied with the reservation. I was suppose to pick up in Vallejo and was called 25 mins before pick up that they were over booked and gave other pick up options that was out of my way. I went with the Fairfield one which was closer to me. I was told that because of the inconveniences I would receive some free mileage. When picking up the truck I was told that free milage was not going to happen and that the person who told me that must be new. I called the number to the person that told me that and was told that they was going to file a claim. Haven't heard from anyone . Was charge the extra milage from what I was suppose to have.

Debbie HMore after hours drop off parking. It was scary having to reverse a 20 ft truck into traffic that is picking up speed to head on to the freeway into the single provided tight parking space at this location. Part of the back of the truck hung over the side walk, we were unsure if it was safe to leave the truck there but I believe it was the manager must’ve heard us outside talking about it and told us that we were correct in parking the truck there and could drop the keys in the dropbox. I’m glad the manager came out. Other than that everything went smoothly.
Ray NI wish I could say this was just another typical below average U-HAUL experience...it was much, much worse! Let's go in order of occurrences. I received a call from the man in the office at 3:30pm, asking when I would be there. I told him that I was on schedule to be there at 3:45pm as planned. He told me that I better be there by 3:45pm or I'd have to come back in the morning. I stated that I thought they closed at 4:30pm, and he said that he had "stuff to do" and was closing early. I arrived at 3:40pm and had to call and bang on his door for 20 minutes before he answered. The facility and office was disgusting. I counted at least 10 cats that were either in the office on the counters, or right outside the office door. There was cat food and cat waste in front of, and around the office door - the smell was horrific. Entering the office was just as bad. The smell of cat urine and old food was nauseating. The man that was in the office, should in no way be allowed to perform a customer-facing position and representing any company, much less one the size of U-HAUL. To maintain my character and exercise kindness, I will forgo the details of his appearance. However, I will say that it was alarming and incredibly unsanitary. Based on my background, there were multiple health code infractions - and that's just in the areas in plain sight. I could also tell that he was using a bench grinder recently - right next to gas cans and a propane tank. My next call will be to my contacts at CAL-OSHA and the BBB. This man was extremely rude, unhelpful, and clearly wanted to rush me out of there. Because of the environment, I had absolutely no desire to stay longer than I had to. I got into the filthy U-HAUL truck (this was the most normal part of the experience) and got about a mile down the road and by the sound and feel of the truck, there was a great chance it wouldn't make it to my destination. Not wanting to risk it, and not wanting to give this man my business, I took the truck back (before 4:30pm). Guess what??? He refused to answer, and simply yelled out of the upstairs window, "I'm done...come back tomorrow." I did, and paid full price for a truck I did not use, and the 2.5 miles proved I didn't. Not only will I never go back to this location, I am considering avoiding U-HAUL entirely!
Nelson CBoth of them even though they were trying to be helpful, were not customer friendly. Too tight-lipped. A little "hello" and an eye contact followed with a smile would go a long way.
