U-Haul is not accountable. I reserved one location to pick up but u-haul changed me to another location which is far away from my loading area. They noticed me the change only half an hour before my pick up time. That’s caused me didn’t have enough time to notice my worker and I had to pay extra money to the those worker. If there was no equipment available in this location, they need to let me know when I make the reservation. Anyway very bad experience.

The overall experience with uhaul as a compamy was terrible. We originally booked at one location got told that doesnt work got bumped to another location then the day of the kove got a call that the unit was not available. After the person calling was extremely rude to me we got bumped to yet another location across the city from us and were supp to get a 50 dollar credit towards the extra mileage which we did not receive. Extremely disappointed in the company amd will never use them again.

truck was not fit mechanically, engine was down on way when it was loaded. I am wondering how it was rented when there was sign for engine service. It was a worst day day. There was phone number given for road side assistant. Which was not correct.

The experience here was great! Did the mobile sign in and got the key from the nice gentleman working there. Vehicle was easy to find and was very clean and worked perfectly. Returning was simple and fast and the final cost was as expected. I have zero complaints.

The location was ok. The trouble we had was we booked a closed cargo trailer in Airdrie for 7AM but had no choice but to use the NE Calgary pickup location and they didn’t have a closed trailer so we got stuck with an open utility trailer. Didn’t fit nearly enough of our stuff so we’ll have to do the WHOLE move process again. On top of all that NO ONE TOLD US THIS LOCATION DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL 8AM. I had to be out of a storage unit at a certain time and NEEDED the trailer at 7AM. This was a horrible experience and the best uHaul could promise was MAYBE 50% off. And had to spent 2 hours on the phone to get that crappy response. U-Haul used to be my go-to. Never ever ever again. Thanks for the worst move experience ever. I would NOT recommend U-Haul to anyone, unless you’re okay with not getting anything right with your reservation. Be prepared for that!

I used the app/website to rent and return the truck and that experience was awful. The site and app both crashed while I was trying to rent the truck as well as return it. It took me over 45 minutes to get the app to finally work while renting and when returning it didn't work at all.

Overall the location was convenient, with fast and friendly service. The U-Haul truck itself was junk but who really expects anything more from U-Haul. Got my house moved successfully and had no issues with booking, thanks U-Haul!

The original reservation was set for the 6th street location in Calgary. The young woman I had the misfortune of dealing with was extremely rude and refused to give me the truck. She then sent me to the 20th Ave location. I wasted over an hour dealing with her, time that should have been spent moving. I will not be using that location in the future. 1/5 *

Prevent over bookings of equipments and have your online booking system not have reservations for the evening if you cant reserve it for 24 hrs. I will do everything i can to book with your competitors before I ever book with you again.

HORRIBLE!!! This place is a gas station location so we thought it was easier to put gas in the tank. We got it at a quarter tank so we were going to put like $10-15 on it. When we told the guy that he still filled it up and charged us $40!!!! We were like no we only had to returned the vehicle on what we got it as. It was a huge argument and he still ended paying our charge card!!! If I know the guy was going to do that then I would have put gas in it a block down.

Pick up location was fine. Problem was uhaul didn't have the trailer I wanted and changed my pick up location to one that was 40 min out of my way. Unless I'm in a real pinch for a trailer rental, I'm not sure I would use uhaul again. Worthless if you can't get the equipment you need, and the extra travel just to pick up.

Was not notified at time of booking that there was a deposit for a trailer rental. Had to pay $60 up front for a $35 rental. It wouldn’t have been an issue if it was communicated earlier.

Worst service ever!! They call me the night before I am supposed to pick up my rental ,that I booked 2 weeks prior to tell me there is no truck for me and that it’s not HIS problem! I was to have a 2 day rental which ended up being only for 1 day and I have to drive to the other end of the city for pick up/drop off and then I had to pay far more in mileage and fuel!! Absolutely nobody seemed to care!! I can not believe how terrible this entire experience has been! Moving is stressful enough without the rental company adding to it!! TERRIBLE!! I will not recommend to anyone!!

This location closes at 1900 despite online giving the option for late drop off at 2130 hours. The truck was dirty, and not fully filled. The truck also was poorly maintained, with flashing check engine lights, dropping oil pressures, and very, VERY rough shifting.

This location was not the original location given to me. A second was offered because the first, closer to home was as useless as screen doors on a submarine. First location, Alberta Auto Transport 4115 80 Ave NE Calgary, AB T3J4B9 nobody was there, no one answered the phone, nobody around to rent me a truck... useless. Second location was open and ready for business. But 1/2 hour or more late from agreed pick up time at first location. Thanks. But no discount was offered to make up for the crappy customer service experienced at the first location.

My Experience was very bad. I rented U-haul truck(unit TT8270E). Our actual kilometres were 15 (9 miles approx. ) But they charge me for 18 miles, the metre of the truck was very fast( almost double). I checked the km with my car on same route to make sure if it’s same but km were only 15 km. They charged me extra, I explained to them but the guy named Johnny, didn’t listen to me and said that I’m lying and he was very rude to me. I’m sorry to say, hospitality was very bad. I rented truck so many times before too from actual U haul place, it never happened to me before. Please check or investigate at this site, so that it will never happen to anyone else in future. This site spoil U-haul’s name. Thank you!!

Proprietor was rude. Told me to start the truck and remove a foot and a half of snow from it in -25 c weather. He told me "it was my job to do"! When I said it wasn't my job....he became combative. Never again at this location....ever!

I booked online which outlined rates on the web page. When I picked up the vehicle, the rates were significantly different from what was on the website. That is deceptive if not outright illegal. Not impressed!!! It was -18C when I picked up the vehicle and it was covered in snow. Could not locate snow brush. Would have been really neat if it had been started, warmed up and brushed off. Way too much to expect I guess. Fuel level was just under half at time of pick up. Why not filled? The agent was decent, but no more. The physical location (inside the building) is grubby hole.

The gentleman that completed my rental for me was very accommodating because he closed before I'd be done with the van, so I met him back first thing in the morning before he'd need it for the next customer. There also is some street parking if you need to leave your vehicle while renting, and this location has room to have a keep a good selection for your rental needs. Also, I used to work for U-Haul at 50th St in Edmonton and there were always complaints about pick-up locations that weren't Centres, and I experienced no issues here at all. I'd definitely recommend Crossroads Gas Plus in Calgary.

It would be nice to have the vehicle free or garbage from the person before I rented the vehicle. The vehicle was so dirty I needed to buy windex and clean the interior windows and mirrors of the truck to see out of them properly. The location I selected was not the one that was sent to me for pick up creating a very inconvenient situation and delayed our pickup / use of the rental.

This location was fine. We reserved a truck at the Barlow location previous to this which was cancelled and we re-booked with this location. We cancelled the Barlow reservation because it was reserved for 11 am pick up and I called in the morning to change the reservation to the following morning at 7 am pick up. Barlow was charging us $342 for this switch in pick up time.....consequently I cancelled this reservation and re-booked at the Gas Plus down the road.

My over all rental cost was just shy of 2500$ I was allotted 4 days with the vehicle and returned it clean and a day early. I picked it up with a quarter of a tank of gas and was told to return it with a quarter of a tank. Which I did. The fellow at gas plus said he could see the quarter of a tank line “a bit” so wanted me to gas it up or he would charge me 50 $ for fueling. It was at the same level I picked it up but he wouldn’t budge. I put 4 liters of gas in it at his pumps.... and he said that was good. I spent 2500 dollars for 3 days and he made me put 4 liters of gas In because he thought it was not right on the line. If you would give me the truck full I would have left it full. Easy. But at a quarter of a tank he decides what a quarter is. I was the one there when I picked it up he wasn’t. That is the third rental from you in so many years. It was the worst treatment I’ve ever seen. Gouging for literally 7.00$. I will be telling my colleagues about this treatment they rent more than I. I will highly recommend the Winnipeg store I will warn and advise people to stay away from this Calgary dealer. It truly ruined what would have been a smooth experience.

There was a single staff member for the beginning of the month and the staff member was totally overwhelmed with the amount of pick ups and drop offs. I mean, isn't it easy to predict that you'll be busy as a Uhaul location during the beginning and end of each month?

This was the absolute worst experience with a company I've ever had. The uhaul location did not have anyone to show us how to check oil, or anything about the truck. Also, they told us to "watch a YouTube video" to figure out how to use the trailer hitch. The kid just walked away from us. This is such gross negligence on the part of uhaul. Our car wasn't secured, nor were we shown how to do it. I was guaranteed a smooth experience with moving, however, I've had to make 5 calls regarding the issues with this company. I am waiting (still) for a call back from someone. This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY EVER!! GET MOVERS FOR YOUR MOVES.

The driver door was damaged I showed to the Him he said he knows a bout it beside dents on the front bumber, the most horrible Thing was, I put fuel in the truck he said he need more, sure how much I should put he said 2L, I said I’ll pay for it cash he accepted and he ddnt give me a receipt....I ddnt like the service in this location.

The owner was very friendly and he was quick and got us in and out which I appreciated. I did however reserve 3 box dollys with my reservation and he didn’t have them as they were first come first serve. I couldn’t believe it. We lost a hour and a half of our move as we had to go to another location and wait in a 30 minute line to get them and then when we returned we had to make two stops which was really inconveint. Overall I am quite disappointed in uhaul and the lack of service provided. It’s not the shop owners fault, but If these things are first come first serve then don’t let people reserve them as this really negatively impacted our move. That hour and a half we lost was the difference of having to finish our move in the dark, in a full on blizzard and a icy and wet truck which caused me to fall on the ramp and injure myself.

Attendant for location an hour late opening. Inside of cab not wiped clean. Former renter's paperwork sitting in cab. Checking box of truck constituted lifting rear door 6 inches and peering under door into darkness. I hadn't swept it yet and was holding broom while he said okay. I swept anyway.
