This was by far my best experience with U-Haul to date. The customer service was very welcoming and friendly, and the location was so convenient.

They did not have the dollies or the cloths that I reserved. I had to go to another location and rent them separately, luckily there was a location nearby from Penske, otherwise the truck would have been really no use to me, the truck itself seem like it was dirty in the back with cement powder on the floor and the the rubber around the passenger door was coming off, and really it had no backup camera, which seems like a ridiculous thing in today's day and age and a safety Factor. At this rate, I probably would go across the street and rent from Penske whose prices are competitive and I would not recommend your company, feel free to ask me any further questions if you like

The truck only had 5700 miles on it, but rattled like it was pushing 150000 when at a stop light .

The truck was old and very dirty. It looked like it had been used to transport cement to a building site. The check engine light was on and it had only 1/4 tank of gas. I asked for box and furniture dolly but they were not there and none were available. The manager shrugged his shoulders when I mentioned this. Very poor, zero stars. Disgusting service.

I had a really disappointing experience with this U-Haul location. First, the location itself is extremely hard to find because it’s inside a barbershop, which is not clearly indicated on Google Maps. Once I finally found it, the entire transaction was handled through the guy’s personal phone, which felt unprofessional and not what I’d expect from a U-Haul rental. That said, he was helpful when I called back later to ask about the overage charges—he politely referred me to the U-Haul 1-800 number to handle the issue. Unfortunately, the real trouble started when I contacted the 1-800 number. I rented a truck and trailer for just 3 hours and 49 minutes, but I was charged double the rental fee for both. For the price I paid, I could’ve kept the truck for two full rental periods instead of under 4 hours. When I tried to resolve the issue, the representative on the phone was dismissive and told me that "no matter how I twisted things," nothing would be done to adjust the charges. Between the unclear location, the unprofessional setup, and the outrageous overcharging, this was a terrible experience. While the local team was at least polite and tried to be helpful, the overall U-Haul process was frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this location or their services—be cautious if you’re renting here.

The guys were all great at this location. Very helpful and easy to work with. This is not a full service UHaul location so if you need any moving supplies buy them ahead of time. Simple return process and the guys made it all easy. Thanks to all at Crown Heights Barber and Shave!

The U-Haul they gave me was stalling. The check engine light was on and it looks like the needle for the temperature. It kept going up and down past the normal. The guy at the barbershop was cool. Know anything I didn't like was the car cap stalling so hopefully you guys go check that before you give it to someone else

We switched to a bigger truck and reserved for morning time; however, they didn’t have the bigger truck available for us until 2 pm.

Broken glass and oil all over the floor bed of the truck. The weather strip on the door sat on your lap in the passenger seat. Horrible experience and I’ve been there before. I would accepted just an I’m sorry. But I got ignored instead.

The staff was great check in out process was smooth… the truck not so much. Got it with only 3 miles to empty, check engine light was on and something wasn’t right with the front end, kept pulling.

This was a unique location to pick up the truck. I was super impressed with Chris and the condition/cleanliness of the truck (I rented a 15' for the ramp). I would definitely return and recommend this location to a friend.

I reserved a utility dolly, furniture dolly, and (12) furniture pads. When I got there the morning of my reservation, there was no equipment in the truck. I reached out to customer service, and I had to travel to another location farther away to pick up both of the dolly’s, but they didn’t have furniture pads anywhere. I’m VERY frustrated that I was still charged for the pads.

Location owner was very professional and super helpful. He took the time to help me complete the checkin process using the mobile app. My only recommendation for UHaul would be to improve their mobile app which was hard to use to complete the process. The scanner was not working properly and spent good amount of time trying to scan my ID. Thankfully, location owner was super nice and helpful and was able to fix it after multiple attempts.

When someone drops off a truck, and you say you are going to check it in, don’t wait till the next morning to check it in. It should be checked in immediately so the customer has confirmation there are no issues or unexpected charges

Your agent is not honest ,the contractor refuse to give a receipt for the final total charges. They charged my credit card for 4 different amounts multiple time. The receipt did reflected the charge total. Estimated was $106.45 at beginning Charges : 106.45+72.84 +36.42+45.36 I returned this equipment at 8h30. I rented for 10hrs Sat 05/14/2022 11h30 am to 8h30 pm = 9hrs Very very suspicious

I initially requested the van to be picked up at 9am but the reservation was changed to 10am. When I got to the location the van was unlocked but the keys were not where it had indicated on the pickup my van area. When I was told by a uhaul rep to go into the location and have them give me the key the location was closed even though it stated they opened at 10am. When they finally opened the guy did not want to give me the key because he was waiting for a so called dispatch even though I'd recieved the approval from online checkin and made payment. When I asked why was the key inside the location and not where it stated in the van he stated "there was a confusing. We thought the key was outside but it was truly inside the location". Not only was I an hr behind from the time change of my reservation the guy also wasted 25mins of my time trying to get "dispatch information" to give me the keys. I would refer anyone here or would I use them to reserve in the future.

Keys weren't available on Mon morning like your app said it was. no one at business and it took multiple phone calls to finally pick-up the Van at 12:30. Van had low tire indication when I picked it up. No working radio. When i returned it they didn't assist in anyway other than to park in the back and drop the key in the box. They didn't want to check it in and never even told me to use the app which I tried to use when I got home with no luck. A complete nightmare experience.

First, I paid for a dolly and didn’t get one. Second, I did everything on the app and I went to get the Uhaul at 6am, got a key and the key was for a van, not the 15 foot truck. I had to wait until 10 am because that’s when the place opened. Set me back 4 hours plus. Got charged for everything. What a total disaster. Never again.
