When pickingthe truck up, Uhaul system was down. Employees had no interest in finding a solution to rent the vehicle. Simply said our system is down. I had to call Uhaul and then an area manager called in to walk them through how to do it. I needed the truck and they were not concerned for my needs, only concerned with doing as little as possible.Scott O.

Possible add one or two wheel chocks to the trailer for safety if a customer needs to disconnect for any reason. I had to disconnect, and I had to improvise to find something that would keep the wheel from rolling.Solomon W.

I've rented two times recently using the web site. Your web site is not up to date with the equipment at the various locations. The first rental for a trailer was from a location according to the manager isn't supposed to rent trailers. She said it should be flagged n the web site they only rent trailers with trucks. Not trailers only. Didn't make sense to me. She was surprised I showed up to rent a trailer. I had to unhook one from a uhaul truck. The most recent experience at Cubbyhole 2 they didn't have furniture dollies. The website allowed me to rent the dollies only to find out they didn't have any. So your website needs to be improved to match up available equipment at the various sites. I had no issues with the sites with either rental. On line rental is very convenient. My only complaint would be that I went to the location to discuss drop off date and time. I was told I had to have the equipment back by Sunday 27SEPT2020 2100hrs, I returned the equipment on Sunday 27SEPT2020 2030hrs, the next day I get notified I was charged an additional $368. I was under the impression I would not be be charged any additional funds if I had the equipment back by the time I was told.Wesley M.

I called ahead At 11:55 AM to make sure my truck was ready and was told I could come pick it up. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that he had gone to lunch and would return at 12:30. It was 12:20 so I waited. The store was locked And closed. He finally returned at 1:35. VERY poor customer service. He had my number and could have called me if something came up but no communication whatsoever. Unacceptable!!Michael M.

I rented this U-haul in Bossier, and I wanted to leave the truck in Shreveport close to the apartment complex. I was told it would be a an extra $200 if I did that. When I brought the truck back to location it was closed. So when I came back to get my change there was a remark about the miles and I told him because I brought the truck back to the original location. He said you could have left it in Shreveport. I told him I didn't want to pay an extra $200 he said he didn't know if that was true. All representative should have the same information so the customer want be inconvenienced.karen R.

We were broke down about a mile from the rental location. We were on the side of the road for over 3 hours. Being told I had no rental until the next day. Everything was closed and rented already. Meanwhile I RESERVED my 26 ft. U Haul for 5:00 at 5:15. I had called The people and told them to head to my house we were on our way with the U Haul. The truck was NOT driveable. They waited on us for 4 hours. I told them to leave we would not have a truck tonight. They did FINALLY get someone to open a store and get us a truck around 10:00 p.m. We got to the house around 11:30 p.m. My blood pressure was 189/98. Needless to say we did not get anything moved that night. Me and my 17 year old Autistic son moved EVERYTHING on our own. The truck had NO oil and the oil pressure pressure gauge was not working. Called roadside assistance. NOT a local number. I was being connected to so many different people. 1 person tried to help his name was Stan (through roadside assistance). I had to make a trip all the way across town because they did not get the things we reserved right. Therefore I had to go pick them up and leave my husband who had a collapsed lung and 4 broken ribs on the side of the road with NO AC and the HEAT index well around 100Â° (Louisiana heat and humidity). VERY long story short I have never experienced the WORST customer service until now. I have used U Haul many times. NEVER EVER again! Filed complaint on Monday July 15 2019 @ 12:23 p.m. was told I would hear from someone within 24 to 48 hours to have the charges taken off. NOT ONE CALL!Christine B.

Went to 3 locations before I got the truck that was reserved 4 days ahead of time! The location was way out of the way from my location and I could only return the truck back to the pickup location...which added miles onto my estimated mileage. All but one person denied any knowledge of my reservation. One person found out that my reservation location had been changed at 8am the day of pick up, I received no notification whatsoever. After use, the system was down and could not be accessed for me to be checked in. Terrible U-Haul experience!! Poor communication!! Inadequate customer service!!Sh'Derrica A.

Drop off where I was told to drop off at was not able to accept because I paid a deposit waited from 9 am till 4 PM before it was resolved then was charged 36 dollars for over milage because I couldn't get one in crossett arCindy R.
While the rental process went smooth and the staff at the neighborhood U-haul dealer were extremely nice, here's my issue. In my particular case, it was cheaper to rent a trailer locally for the day rather than rent from the city that I was picking up new furniture from. I reserved a trailer a 2.9 miles from my home, but the trailer was gone prior to my rental day. The reservation was moved to a different location 12 miles away. The trailer had to be dropped off back at that location to avoid one-way rental charges. U-haul's policy to charge the customer penalties when equipment is dropped off at a different in-town location is quite frankly a rip off.darrell B.
This trailer was by far the oldest of three available and they wanted me to take it. It was old, rusty wheel hubs, some holes in fenders, and old fading and chipped exterior. Was part about it was a very hard to open door. So hard to open that it took two of us at the destination to get it open because it buckled some when raising.
