The U-Haul site is at a locked storage site. There are no instructions on how to enter or contact anyone. The 15' truck that I rented (originally in Cranbrook BC and changed one day before rental) was not available at the new site. By chance, someone was returning a 10' truck while we were figuring out what to do. I elected to take the 10' truck, which did not allow us to pack everything, so the entire day wasn't a waste. Extremely disappointed.

I had reserved my vehicle for July 01 on that location and I was aware that is a holiday, but considering everything was confirmed i figured i will get my vehicle with no problems.i was wrong, at first there was no 24/7 pick up set up because somebody was supposed to be there. I was told I could go to the next city (30km Drive one way) to get a vehicle. After talking with a uhaul representative we did set up the pick up and I finally got a key, took all my pictures from the outside, jumped in, started the vehicle - no gas, and I noticed underneath its dripping. Awesome I thought to myself. So I called at first the storage owner, who got mad at me telling me not to call him anymore on a holiday (nice customer service skills) afterwards I called u haul representative again, who was telling me there is no other vehicle on that location eventhough I was standing in front of 3 other vehicles. He is telling me to go to Fairmont Hot Springs to pick up a vehicle. Which is 100 km one way, so you want me to pay for 200km driving back and forth plus my private gas to get there and back, not to mention, each way is a one hour drive, after I had reserved a vehicle at this location and it was confirmed to me the day before. After talking I did get another vehicle, jumped in and less than 3/4 of gas in that vehicle. After one hour on the phone I was able to do my move, which was quick and easy. I went back returned the vehicle and quiet honestly a little shocked I got charged at all after that experience. I would not recommend this location.
