Have gas in truck when it is picked up by customer. The first thing I had to do in the rain is purchase gas it was literally empty when I picked it up. I understand some customers may not have the funds to fill truck up when dropping off I get that. I feel that you all should add gas so that customers will not have to pick up truck and barely make it to the gas station. I was told miles were unlimited when you go one way and drop truck off. Why was my card charged for miles. I would like a refund back into my account.

The business is very seedy-looking when you drive in. It sets off in the back, and you don't know if it is a barber shop, a bail bondsman, or a lawyer's place. There are so many businesses running out of that business. I am all for being an entrepreneur, but at least be good at the U-Haul thing. The U-haul sign is very small - This U-haul business does not look like the other U-hauls I have been to. Either the guy wants to do U-Haul or cut hair or practice law or whatever else he is advertising. He should act like he cares when he has a U-Haul customer in his presence. I am thinking about suing this company for the egregious neglect and emotional trauma placed on my family's life. It's a terrible way to run a business. The guy was cutting hair when I arrived. I have no problem with that, but he acted like I was bothering him. I had to wait and then get some information. He then had me back up my car in a tight spot with a U-Haul truck in the way. He did not help my friend hook up the transport. I was missing a piece for the lights and blinkers. He told me once I got that, I was good to go. He hopped in his car and left. I was expecting him to hook up my car to the transport. He did not. He drove off and left me to fend for myself. I told him I was moving to New Mexico and driving from Mississippi. My whole life was with me in this move: my 80-year-old mother and two dogs. Both front tires were not strapped down on the auto transport. The front chain was not on the auto transport on the A-arm. The back chain that was supposed to go to the rear end was missing, and the trailer coupling was bent to the right. I also had two flat tires on the back. When I made the reservation for the transport, I was assured that he would hook up my car to the transport. He neither offered nor did so, he just left me to fend for myself. I was never offered a business card or anything. It was an uncomfortable and long 14-hour drive. The car seemed to be moving on, and the transport was sometimes weaving back and forth. My life was in this man's hands. I was told on the phone that he would hook up my car- he just left. I would never recommend this man; he is a poor representation of U-Haul. I am thinking of suing this company for emotional distress and trauma—poor representation of U-Haul. I will call the company's president, Joe, in Phoenix. I was very disappointed in the service, how I was treated, and the equipment I was renting. At the very least, I should get my money back.

The man who ran the U-haul site was very nice. But this location was in the absolute worst and most dangerous part of Jackson, MS. First, I needed to pick up the U-Haul and equipment in Vicksburg, MS....and hour west of Jackson. Day before we were going to pick up to truck, they told us to go to this location in Jackson. Once we got the truck the ramp was completly broken, the truck was flilthy and has seen better days. Also NO Appliance dolly or furniture pads that I ordered in the U-Haul. As I was on the phone in the parking lot with U-Haul. A homeless crackhead started walking towards my vechile. I don't mess around in the hood. I was getting shot today....nay nay......... So U-Haul thanks for putting me in one of the most dangerous places in Jackson, Mississippi.

Clean the van front and back on the inside. The outside looked ok. The facility on the inside had hair on the floor. No other customers were there and the Barber was sitting in a chair on his phone. The guy who waited on me was in the back and I didn't have to wait too long. The problem is I had to walk through hair on the floor to sign the tablet for the rental. It was really disgusting and made no sense. Why would anybody leave hair on the floor after cutting a customer hair. It should be swept immediately after each customer

The location was easy to find.Besides all the the Uhauls out front you would have never have known where exactly to go. A Barber Shop/ tattoo shop/ Attorneys (in 1 building)Although the person who checked us out was not very professional nor personable. The parking lot had holes all in so trying to get trailer out, I felt like we were going to break something either on the truck or the trailer. I will put it this way, I would not have stop nor walked in that place if my husband had not been with me.

The store was not opened during business hours. My pickup was scheduled 9 and I couldn’t pick up until 10. Then the store attempted to charge me for a five day rental and I only had the truck for 8 hrs.

Ensure that U-Haul staff effectively communicate with customers, maintaining cleanliness standards for rentals. Unfortunately, my recent rental experience was subpar; the vehicle emitted a foul odor and appeared neglected, with interiors resembling months of neglect. No one was at the location when I arrived. He arrived about 30 minutes later because the place is a barbershop and he only showed up to cut hair, not to meet me. When I went to retrieve the truck key, he said the truck didn’t run. I had to scramble to find another location because I had movers showing up. U-Haul gave me no discount or compensation for my inconvenience. I’ll never use you again

They equipment I paid for and was told would be in the truck was not there. I had to run around the state of Mississippi to different t U-Haul locations to get a dolly and pads to be told they don't have them. This is the second time I've rented a truck from U-Haul and both times it was an horrible experience.

The vehicle was dirty. Check engine light was on. I paid for a dolly and it wasn’t in the truck. The young man at the rental place when I returned the truck was very professional and extremely nice. He did apologize for the issues that I had and informed me how to resolve the issue.

Tank was empty was told to put gas back where the hand was , we put 30 in the tank renter attempted to charge my card for gas. U-Haul was rented for 9 we returned at 8:33. Price was advertised as 55 plus tax I was charged 113$

Make sure the vehicle is clean and in working order. Make sure it has been serviced it had check the engine light on. Make sure the inside is clean on the inside. Make sure to check all locations before sending anyone to this location as I hear it is not the safest neighborhood.

Owner was not there when I arrived, nonetheless it’s a barber shop, so he came in ready to cut hair, until I told him what I was there to get a U-Haul. Reserve for 1:00 it was after 2:00!! Sad thing when I arrived back, this man was doing tattoos, so this location this person has 3 occupations!! Never Again

My furniture dolly I paid for wasn’t on unit. It was dirty inside and the back. I was told one time and then it was changed at the last minute. I utilize this service often and I’ve never had a problem. I WILL NOT BE RENTING FROM THEM AGAIN!

As long as I live and in need of a truck rental service I will NEVER choose UHaul again!!!! The service was horrible, deceiving, overpriced with hidden cost, the the return drop off of the vehicle was a long and drawn our process that was a complete nite mare! I am so over UHaul and will never do business with this rental company again!!😡

To start with, be sure to accurately charge the customers . I was charged $364 for nine hours of rental. The agent was nice and helpful in getting to the bottom of the error. However it created financial problems.

I made my online reservation for another location - I received an email from UHaul, changing the location to Cut Up Barber Shop. I requested pickup time of 9:00. This location does not even open until 10:00! After talking to the man on the phone, he told me to go ahead and hook up the trailer myself and take a picture for him. I was not comfortable doing this. I waited until 10:15 for him to appear. There was nobody at the location when I tried to return the trailer. I had to wait until someone showed up. The man asked me to back the trailer up into a small space. I cannot back up a trailer!

Really nice guys at the shop. The truck had a check engine light on but it made it through the trip. They advised that it should be fine. It needed minor maintenance. It was 'missing' a bit and underpowered. I wasn't going to ruin our move plan for an iffy truck and decided to press with it for a 140 mi roundtrip. The door lock on the right side doesn't work and A/C is marginal. Not unsat, but marginal from what you normally get from UHAUL. Get truck inventory quality up and this review would be much different.
