Emiliano CThis location was not good for an after hours drop. No information. The app kept dropping when we tried to do the checkin. Then showed no reservation when we went back in. Called uhaul and was placed on hold. Never talked to anyone. Finally, after 1/2 hour of trying to get checked in, someone on chat said it recorded the checkin.
Denise ACeleste Campos was a real help and was able to get the rental paperwork straightened out and us on our way.
Mark HMy reservation was changed at last minute and there was no one there. I was not able to open the app and sat on hold for over 30 minutes to be able to get help to get code for lock box. Finally got code than had a very hard time opening it. Had right code in but so hard to get open. The place looked like a junk yard with huge pot holes everywhere.
Jeanette GI was sent about an hour and a half out of my way to drop off the trailer. I was told to drive to the destination city and then call a number for where to drop it off. When I arrived I called the number and was told there were no trailer drop off places in the city and I would need to drive nearly almost another hour in the opposite direction to drop it off. This wasted critical time on a day I had people helping me move. It also wasted gas, which isn’t cheap these days. Terrible experience. I was also told someone would reach out to discuss the experience and that never happened. As someone who manages a global customer service team, this type of experience wouldn’t be acceptable in my organization.
John SScheduled to pick up at 10:00am. Representative didn’t show until 10:30. I went to location and found they didn’t have my reservation. I had to travel to another location 10 miles away.
Stephen HThe parking lot was a muddy mess with giant potholes. Also, the truck had multiple dents, scratches, and cracks that were not noted in the photos provided. We did not feel comfortable driving the truck, so we took it to the Coon Rapids location and switched it with a smaller truck since they did not have the size we wanted available.
Kaycee FPlease inform the customer that this place doesn't open until 10am. I showed up there at 7AM, which was the time I reserved the truck for and there was no one there! I had to call U-Haul and they had to walk me through the self checkout while I was standing out in the bitter cold without any gloves. I then had to wrestle with the lock to gain access to the key as they were rusted and frozen shut. When I finally did get access to the truck, the windshield wiper was broken and the windshield was covered with two inches of hard packed snow. There was no ice scraper in the truck so I had to wait 30 minutes for the ice to melt before I could leave. Finally, the truck hadn't been moved in awhile and it was snowed in so I had to spend 20 minutes getting it out of it's spot as it was stuck. Any other person less tech savvy or less experienced with driving in the snow would never had been able to even get the truck.
Darren JThe parking lot is dirt and poorly maintained. Deep pot holes make move a large truck a bit of a challenge.
Sherilyn DThe person helping me was wonderful but guy in the office yelling on the phone at a customer or shop was not appropriate and did not care or even notice I was in his lobby trying to get my truck rented. The girl helping me was awesome and took care of me. Less than good because of him not her.
Dean C1st truck had some front end issues but it was swapped quickly for a different truck that was good.
Ron SDrop off location was supposed to be in big lake. We were not informed of the change of drop off location until we arrived at the one we scheduled it for. Then we were told we had to drive an additional 14 miles. When we picked up the truck we should’ve been told that the drop off location we chose couldn’t accept 26 ft trucks and we would’ve had the opportunity to choose one that fit our route better. The drop off place was a different name than what was listed, had no parking space, the staff were short with us and condescending, and the office itself was trashed, smelled like garbage and was very disgusting overall.
Kassandra CWe dropped off after hours. The gentleman located in the unaffiliated car dealership was nonetheless very helpful. This isn't where we intended to drop off as it was out of our way, but it got the job done. Definitely look up the address. In any case, it was a smooth process, and we were able to wrap things up very quickly with the online self checkin.
Melissa GMy reservation said to pick up at BHA Resale Store, 3365 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53704. They didn't have it. They sent me to the u haul on Verona road, 18 miles away. They didn't have it either. That u haul sent met to this one at Atlas court, another 12 miles, and that one had it. So an extra 30 miles and an hour and a half of my time. Likewise, when I returned it at my destination the next day, my drop off location got changed to a different place 10 miles away (DN Auto sales). So that was an extra 10 miles plus 30 mins to sort out why I couldn't drop it off there. And that place was closed but customer service assured me it was ok to drop of there even though they were closed. Two days later I get a call from that location asking if I was going to drop off the trailer. Luckily I took pictures to prove I dropped it off and the location on their lot to prove that I already had. The found it the next day. Two hours wasted and 40 miles of my gas. I will never rent from u haul again.
Michael SMy requested equipment was not in the UHaul. The truck I was going to use was snowed in and covered in snow. The person who helped me didn't have a phone and didn't know how to make changes to my reservation.
Angel RIt would have been nice to have it out of the snow when I came and hooked it up. It was in fairly deep. I had issues hooking it up, but the manager sent me a video showing me how to do it and it helped,
Bonnita BI was charged more than quoted, without any explanation. This is not okay, and is being disputed. I would not recommend uhaul to anyone in the future.
