Shawnee WThe truck had over 100k mileage. When I arrived at my first stop, the brakes were making a rattling noise. The truck had difficulty shifting between gears. The tires were in terrible condition. In the agreement, it stated that I would be required pay x dollars. Actually I was charged the full amount before I drove off the property. Hmmm…wasn’t I surprised. That was bad form for U-Haul. Breaking the agreement and creating your own one sided agreement. I’m very disappointed ☹️
Wayne HThe location for this u-haul pick up did not feel safe and did not feel like a trustworthy business to rent from. I was in a tight turn around situation and had to keep going with the rental because there were not other 10ft trucks available in the area. When I arrived at Da Laboratory LLC the door was locked, after knocking a man opened the door and look confused as to why I was there. The place smelled like smoke, had loud music playing, and there only a couple of dim lights on. I did not feel safe using this place, but needed to give it a try. The man in charge (don't even know his name) gave me a set of keys after not giving me the furniture pads I reserved, and just pointed in the direction of the truck. He said "it's the one over there on the grass" without checking the plates or the state of the truck before I left. It all felt really rushed and not professional. The truck itself did the job and was fine, but smelled like smoke and when I replaced the gas tank coming back gas spilled out and didn't trigger 2 different gas stations that it was nearly full. I had to be diligent to document everything because I was sure I would get dinged for a charge that was not correct. It got the job done for the moving situation I was in but I will not be doing this ever again.
Robert JThe owner of the shop did not do an inspection or walk through before and after. He just gave me the keys he also waited until I left to go check the truck. I received an email invoice of an overcharge in mileage the truck was used in 1 pick up I had a 19.95 10’ and he charged over 60.00 on my card. This is false and it’s unprofessional being sneaky for a dollar. I do not recommend this location find a legit U-Haul business. The mileage wasn’t even 25 he charged over 30.

Jay BI had to pay out of pocket for new windshield wipers because I couldn’t see when it began to rain. The gentleman I returned the Uhaul truck to was unable to reimburse my expense for the wipers. I should’ve taken my wipers back with me at that point. Uhaul owes me $25.00.

Rheanan RI feel that you guys do not know how to satisfy customer with customer service expectation or customer satisfication furthermore I will not recommend you guys to nobody because I didn't get satisfied with my day that I was supposed to be refunded and messed my account up and it messed my bill paying up so no longer will I be using your service I'll find somebody with a better service we please and customer satisfaction and customer service to the fullest
John JWas given a truck that needed an alignment. When asked to exchange for another was denied. Once truck was returned we were charged double what we were told. Found another pending charge of over $110 this morning with no email explaining why. Truck was returned in exact same condition as picked up. Will never rent from here again. Our “$85” in town rental has ended up costing over $300.

Ashley BWas charged $30 for insurance after the rental was returned. I have corporate insurance for my business. I also only drove 4 miles and was charged for 4 gallons of gas after i put a gallon in.. truck had engine light and oil light on. Also had no air conditioning. They told me when i asked that they put in 3 quarts the last week and i should be fine. Returned truck Saturday and could not get receipt until Monday. Then they didnt answer phone once i got it and called. WORST U-HAUL EXPERIENCE EVER

Connor EThe Establishment looks duty and needs some serious dusting, the truck needs major repair there is way too much play on the steering wheel and I almost lost control of the truck several time, that is a major safety issue, you can kill someone. that truck needs to be taken off the road.

Robert TI made the reservation online and I was sopose to have a appliance dolly I didn't get and paid 10.$ for. Then my card was charged 3 times one charge for $113. One for 131. Debit and one for 131. Credit. Then when I tried to chat the chat said my deposit would be returned in 3 days but when I called the actual place they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about.
Jarrod MThis was an absolutely horrible experience. When we asked the owner to help us hook up the lights and check to make sure everything was working they REFUSED. The entire place smelled of pot. I would NEVER recommend this location. In fact, it should be SHUT DOWN! He also never put in the booking just charged us and pocketed the money for himself!

Troy HYou are assessing a $20 charge for not filling up gas in a rental that we returned today. Knowing full well that this would happen, I made sure I took video of the key handoff and a picture of the mileage and the gas tank. Attached you will find a picture taken at your location (402 E Russell st. Fayetteville, NC 28301) as well as the location tag of said picture, the receipt provided by UHaul indicating the incorrect gas tank level, and a screenshot indicating the $15.71 I spent on gas at the BP station down the street. I asked the rep at the Russell st. Location (who smelled like marijuana in the UHaul shop) if I needed to do any paperwork or a walk through, he said no. If this charge is not handled properly, it will be disputed with American Express, a complaint filed with BBB/FTC and your Uhaul locations in the Fayetteville area will receive a review via Yelp/Google etc. Please rectify this by 12 noon (EST) tomorrow, September 9, 2022.
Chris DSketchy location in town, no signage anywhere I saw that said Da Laboratory, if not for the other U-Haul equipment parked there I wouldn't have known I was at the correct place, luckily the glass entrance door to the office said U-Haul. Office personnel didn't even get up from his desk to come out and check the truck in. Just looked me up on the computer, took the keys and said I was good to go.

lester ttake it from the people who have it now! The place reeked of marijuana, his kids, or someone kids kept coming in and out. He had a problem with how to do the paperwork. The trailer had use a 2'' ball I had 1&7/8'' ball on my hitch. He thought he could change the ball with a small pare of channel locks, no way in hell. I want ever go back.

Robert TNo vehicle was not clean, vehicle was recieved with an empty tank and owner stated its not an issue just return it the same way. Upon return i recieved extra fuel charge for not filling it up.

Perianne DThe service was great! It was the fact that I made reservations prior to picking up 15' truck and it was broke down so I had to get a 10' truck. I made reservations for a 15' truck and the 10' truck cost me more than what was guarantee and Icharges twice for the appliance dolly that was also in my prior reservation. I was also due to pick up the truck on the 23rd so I could be on the road by 530am on the 24th I could not pick up truck until 8am which cost me alot for picking up my things in Virginia and coming right back the same day. Second when I made reservation I told the person that I would need more than 6 hours due to distance and that was placed in the reservation as well. I recieved another email on the 25th that I was charge some more money for mileage. I find this to be very underhanded and unprofessional of your establishment. I will never use or recommend your services again. I found what transpired with me was on you guys and not me and to top it off it was not explained to me that I would be charged those fees when I picked up the smaller truck. I was just billed. Had I know I would have made other arrangements for another day. Also when I called customer service I was told it was all explain in my contract which I did not recieve until I was already chargenand had truck. This was a new contract and not the one I made reservations for
