I ask to pick up in Swastika and I ended up driving to Timmins to pickup my rental at my cost which I found so inconvenient.

Staff was great and a pleasure to deal with. The online ordering though was not the greatest. Created confusion, but thankfully the staff made things easier for me.

I would close this business down. First off the rental was scheduled for pick up on the Thursday at 8 am hwy 11 was closed due to weather cool I called and advised I would pick up as soon as the roads opened. When I called at 3 pm I was told keep driving and I could pick it up then I was told due to the weather they had to clean the truck off and undig it. So we would be able to pick up Friday at 9:45 am. When we get there the truck is not dug out and is still covered in snow and stock on ice. Well my husband is shoveling the truck out and clearing the truck off it wouldn’t get unstuck as it is on ice I go in and ask for assistance I get told haha ya summer tires will do that well in my head your a damn tow company running a uhual business it is your responsibility to make sure the trucks work but ok haha funny I know the lady response well what do you want me to do. My response well your a tow company use a tow truck and pull the truck out oh I have no trucks there all on the road. Are you flipping kidding me

Only issue which is no one's fault and is out of their control is the unit covered in snow and frozen but that is what you can expect living in the north

The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. They stayed late on New Year’s Eve to help me and when I was unable to get the truck out of the parking spot due to ice (and the truck inexplicably not having winter tires in northern Ontario), they were able to tow me out and get me on my way.

Went after hours so can’t speak to the personnel. Was easy to find. However, when doing the return equipment function in my account, the website wouldn't take my location and I had to call customer service to get it sorted out.

Location was difficult to contact and had to physically go to the service provider. Reception was adequate could be a bit more informative with what is required when hitching a trailer to the vehicle.

The truck box had a major leak in the front left side. Fortunately the items I stored in that area were waterproof and the path the water took on the floor avoided the matresses. Not sure if uHaul regularly checks for leaks?

The location and the people at the location were amazing. However; dealing with the U-Haul company itself to rent a vehicle was an absolute nightmare. Once a truck is reserved, and you receive confirmation of the reservation, it should be reserved. PERIOD. We ended up with a truck; but getting to that point of actually having the keys in hand was stupid. I reserved a 15 ft truck to pick up for 9 am, which I got, BUT a stipulation was attached that I would be downgraded to a 10 ft if the 15 ft was needed; AND I couldn’t pick up that 10 ft truck until noon. Then the next day, I found out I was getting a 26 ft truck as the 15 ft AND the 10 ft both were not available. But I was getting the 15 ft rate. Fine. Then I get a call that the 26 ft is no longer available to me at all. And this is AFTER confirmation that I had it. The only reason I ended up getting the truck back was because the woman at the pick up location called and complained on my behalf. So, did I get a truck? Yes. But honestly; NIGHTMARE. I will never deal with U-Haul again and have already told people to beware if they choose to deal with U-Haul. I myself think you can do better.

Explain how the hitch works. I Brough a jack with me to attach the trailer to my pick up only to find out the trailer is so well balance that I did not need one.

I hope I don’t have to rent a U-Haul again, however if I do, I will not be using the mobile app, I will be going into a location and finalizing everything. Mobile maybe convenient however it is not set up to provide basic details of miles/kms and if it must be converted. This location provided great service and the 24/7 customer service helped greatly, however the mobile app still has flaws that needs to be worked out.

With having made arrangements to pickup at a specific time I would expect that the vehicle is ready to go. I had to clean 12” of snow of the windshield and front of the vehicle ( fortunately I had my own snow brush handy )and shovel two wheel paths through a snow bank in front of the truck ( they were nice to have left a shovel sitting beside the trucks). On a better note the truck was clean and mechanically fit with 1/2 a tank of gas. I also had to help an elderly couple clean snow off a truck they were renting, I did thus while the nice man renting the truck went back inside the store to borrow a booster pack to start the truck he was renting. Battery was completely dead. It’s a good location but some extra attention to the service side of what they do needs work.

Friendly and helpful staff, experience couldn’t have been any smoother. Reserved their biggest truck last week, showed up Monday morning minutes after them opening and maybe 10 minutes later I was on the road. Flawless.

Had no brakes Master cylinder leaking alarms going off had to stop pull over restart my truck every hour Then on top of it I already forked out over three hundred dollars then another 135 for gas then have the nerve to charge me for extra km when I was under my limit like WTF I will never again rent a U-Haul and I rented them a few times but I think another company needs my money
