We found candy wrappers in the glove compartment and a crushed can behind the seat. The radio antenna was missing. We had to travel across town with a full load to get one. We were given two stories when it was cleaned. The night before pickup we were told our Uhaul was not available. They wanted us to travel 75 miles one way to pick it up at a different location. The online check in was very cumbersome. You had to download the app in order to check in. The 24/7 hotline had me on hold for over 30 minutes and still didn't receive any help. It took over an hour to check in. Ugh! Not happy.stephanie R.

So I'm really annoyed that I had to drive 20miles to get Uhal truck then 20miles back to my location, then 20miles to bring it back. Where I only used about 24miles from a total of 64miles to get my task done. I got charged for picking up the truck and returning it.... those miles should be deducted.STEPHEN M.

Hi, I filed a complaint with this location the day of my move telling them there was a piece of dried DOG POOP in the trailer part of the truck in-between one of the wooden slates. During my intial check-in process, the mobile app prompted us to check the cab, mileage, gas level, and the EXTERIOR of the trailer for damages. It didn't ask us anything about the inside of the trailer. After opening the trailer and were about to load all of our belongings into the truck, we stopped and I called. I asked for either a different vehicle or to be reimbursed for a portion of the cost because that's absolutely disgusting and during a time of such sterile measurements, it seemed like flat out negligence. But, because there was no alternative truck available, the man that checked me in (AJ) said he'd email his manager and maybe get $5 or $10 subtracted from my total bill. The small amount was slightly off-putting but something is better than nothing if they at least did something. I offered to send pictures but he said it wasn't necessary, that he believed me and to flick it out or clean it up and he'd try to reimburse for the cleaning products. I said ok and appreciated him contacting the manager, Mike Schultz. Fast forward a couple of days, I call to check in and the lady said she hadn't heard from him yet but they'd contact me. On Saturday, July 18, we bought a sectional and needed to move it so I called their location again in hopes they had it figured out and give a chance to redeem themselves or apply some discount. NOPE. The people at the front said their hands were tied and still hadn't heard back from Mike. So we called the Hamilton Avenue location and booked with Dave at North Beach Storage. We had an amazing experience there and will never go anywhere else. (That is for another review.) Finally, I heard back from the Frederick location, now a week later, and given the news that there's nothing they can do. The reason because "we checked the box confirming there were no damages." At this point, I am pissed and ask for Mike's phone number because I won't shoot the messenger. I call Mike but to no surprise, no answer. In all my years of working with clients and customers, the customer service to fix this problem and keep a sterling reputation to keep the people who are paying me happy is a no-brainer. I feel cheated out of money and offended at the lack of any attempt to correct this mess by Mike. I wouldn't be surprised if someone intentionally put that there after having a shitty experience as well and wanted to leave a representation of how they felt. I have no problem leaving a terrible review now. I honestly would never use U-Haul again if it hadn't been for Dave at North Beach Storage. I would really appreciate someone to rectify this situation since its being so passively handled at a local level. Thank you for your time and apologize the lengthy email.Ashley V.

I reserved a truck for 8 amwith online check in. Didnt work, called and spoke with someone and still didn't work. Had to wait until 930 to get truck. Very upsetting to lose 1.5 hours of moving time. Thr truck was fine. Although I made my reservation in person, it became apparent prior to and during the day of rental that much of my personal information was entered incorrectly. For instance, my last name was misspelled. This meant I was not able to look up my reservation online which requires last name and reservation number. My email address was misspelled which meant the confirmation email from U-Haul never made it. My home address was really whacky. This was not of much consequence since billing was done via charge card and receipt was emailed to me.Michael K.
