The truck was clean but the truck needed Power steering fluid it the Steering wheel had too much slack in it I received a email saying something about 190 something dollars I dident understand. That I paid 160 somethingCindy P.

The people were rude during pickup and drop off . They acted as if I were bothering them. They gave me the truck on dead empty but said it had a 1/4 tank. When I told them about it they just acted like oh well. There was absolutely no place to park but on the side of a busy highway. I was not asked to walk around the truck to make sure it had no previous damage I would be liable for. I have rented many uhaul trucks over the past few years and I have never had a bad experience until now. Worst ever! I do t know if I'll ever rent from uhaul again unless they make this right. Every time I've returned a u haul rental the return was always a big problem. Lack of communication between u haul , is being lost. Be don't know what coming In It out!! I was never aware that I would get charged an after hours fee. That's $21! If I would've known than, I would've gone to another location. Other that, my experience was good.Patrice R.

The Uhaul dealer fraudulently charged me a $25 cleanup fee. When I turned in the truck, it was free of all trash and belongings, and the back of the truck was swept. The dealer asserted that I left some unidentifiable personal items in the truck, which required 3 days to air out the smell. There were no perishable items transported, and the refrigerator was empty and dry. Also, the â€˜after-hours' charge is nothing but a shameful shake-down charge, without justification. The truck was turned in after hours, but checked in by dealer staff during normal business hours. The dealer was notified of my intended turn-in date, and I was charged for all times prior to check-in by dealer staff. I was not instructed that I was required to notify anybody at the time I checked truck in after hours, else I would face a penalty charge. I have rented from Uhaul for over 30 years. After my recent experience, Uhaul will never again get my business.Christopher C.

The people there are great, But I would not RECOMMEND using U-Haul to anyone. I would discourage them from using U-Haul. OUR EXPERIENCE WAS THE WORST WE EVER HAD WITH A RENTAL. WE PAID FOR A 26 FT TRUCK THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE TO MAKE SURE THE TRUCK WOULD BE AVAILABLE, ON THE 30TH OF AUGUST. WE WERE TOLD THEY WOULD CALL US TO TELL US WHERE TO PICK UP THE TRUCK. NEVER RECD A CALL, I CALLED THEM ON THE 29TH. THE REPLY: SORRY NO TRUCK AVAILABLE. WE SOLD OUR HOUSE AND HAD TO HAVE THAT TRUCK. NO SOLUTION FROM YOUR PEOPLE. FINALLY I ASKED IS THERE AT LEASRT A 20 FT TRUCK AVAILABLE/ WE HAD TO DRIVE TO THIS LOCATION TO GET THE TRUCK,UHAUL WOULD NOT DELIVER TO THE LAFAYETTE LOCATION. SO NOW WE ARE USING ERXTRA MILES TO PICK UP THE TRUCK AND RETURN TO LAFAYETTE. ON 31ST WE LOADED THE TRUCK BUT NOT ROOM ENOUGH ON THE 20 FT TO LOAD ALL OUR BELONGINGS. sO NOW WE NEED A TRAILER TO LOAD THE REST OF OUR BELONGINGS. BUT OH NO TRAILER AVAILABLKE IN LAFAYETTE, NEAREST TRAILER 30 MILES AWAY. SO AGAIN TAKE THE TRUCK TO PICK UP A TRAILER,MORE MILES ADDED ON OUR 20 FT TRUCK. rETURNED BACK TO LAFAYETTE TO FINISH. LIOADING, BUT NOT ALL OUR BELONGINGS FIT IN THE TRAILER,SO WE LEFT SO BELONGINGS BEHIND. WE RETURNED THE TRUCK AND NOW WE ARE CHARGED FOR EXTRA 25 MILES FOR GOING OVER THE MILAGE, HAD TO PAY EXTRA $32. ASKED THAT WE WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXTRA MILAGE AS U-HAUL AS IT WAS U-HAULS FAULT WE HAD TO GO ANOTHER TOWN TP PICK UP THE TRUCK. REPLY FRO U-HAUL, CANT GIVE YOU CREDIT MUST PAY THE EXTRA MILAGE. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST U=HAUL EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!! WE WILL NOT USE U-HAUL AGAIN A=ND WILL NEVER RECOMMENDED YOUR COMPANY TO ANYONE. The right fender on the 5 foot x 8 foot trailer had a broken part that holds the door open. It would need to be replaced. Other than that, the trailer worked great. The owners were very helpful & courteous. We were supposed to rent the trailer next week, but due to the large percentage of rain expected, we changed our plans for this week. Originally scheduled to pick up at a closer location to me. Got called 2 days before and ended up having to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick up my truck. Had requested an appliance dolly and location did not have one. Told me I should go to my original request location to pick up one.
