Eric at D&S was great and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the 6'X12' trailer with ramp has corners at the back reducing the opening to 5 feet! Thus the UTV we purchased would NOT FIT!!! So we drove 135 miles one way for nothing! As a result we had to return to our residence and purchase a trailer for $2159.00, drive another 200 miles to pick up our UTV. What is the purpose of having a 6' trailer bed when the ramp opening is only 5'??? All the trailers I've researched have the same ramp width as the trailer bed! Again, the rental agent, Eric was excellent. The trailer was a waste of time and money. I blame myself for not doing better research.Craig S.
The has probably been the worst customer service experience I've ever had with any company, ever. I will do everything within my power to avoid doing so, encourage others to avoid it as well. For the sake of the next person Uhaul cons into using this service, I hope it ceases to be offered soon.Francesco D.
I am out over $ 2K in damages as the stuff was not stored in a climate controlled unit and all uhaul could say was "we have to take care of ourselves first and sorry for your loss but it was a miscommunication". The worst I have ever been through!!!! Save your money and donate all your materials before wasting your hard earned money to end up having to trash everything. Anything cloth was covered in mildew and Uhaul takes no care to correct their "miscommunication".Angela N.

We rented the trailer 30 days prior to pick up, when we requested the hitch size, were told hitch we had would work. When we picked up the trailer we had the wrong hitch and had to go purchase one, delaying my departure. Even though I called ahead with an arrival time, we still had to drive up a messed up driveway and drive the trailer down. The trailer gate was broken and needed repair on pickup. Trailer was extremely dirty with paint all over it. The trailer cost way too much.MAX A.

The computer system on the administrative side wouldn't except any credit cards making it difficult for the business owner to complete the transaction. Ironically we were having a discussion about the reliability of the computer age just prior and shared a brief laugh. He made a phone call and resolved the problem quickly.ERIKD S.

I ended up having to spend more money then I wanted after my original reservation was moved. Maybe next time offer a couple free miles since my pick up location was 20 miles different then my original reservation.CHRISTOPHERDAVID M.

I have concerns about EXTRA charges on the car carrier which was supposed to be $79.00 and ended up significantly more. I rented a 26 foot truck and went to Virginia returned to rent a 20 foot truck and had to drive 2 hours out of my way to pick up and then a different place for car carrier which had to get next day. This made the return of the truck one day late! so I believe the charges on the car carrier are excessive and the extra day truck rental was due to unavailability of the equipment and I had to drive a total of 3 hours extra. You guys suck, and we will be sure to tell anyone and everyone to avoid your service like the plague. I submitted an earlier detailed critique that seems to have 'disappeared'. U-Haul's logistics are terrible, choose pods instead. It started off well, but corporate whose call centers are located in South Asia were hapless and totally unhelpful. Our boxes arrived late and once emptied clogged up our driveway for 5 days.PETER W.

Eric provides his customers with excellent customer service! the location was very easy to find and the process was quick and easy. always try to call to make reservations directly with any location as the U-Haul system the internet an will not provide you with the customer service this location and other independent dealers try to provide all who call them directly rather than booking online! thanks Eric!Andrew T.

However my original confirmation email indicated rental was at 23 Reynolds St. Arrived at this location only to find it closed. Called gentleman on State Route 23 who called be day before and he directed me to correct location.Kathy P.

Not sure how long the trailer I had rented had the left side of the rear marker lights not working. I was pulled over by a trooper while traveling with the trailer to ask about the lack of lights. This trailer should probably be checked for all lights working. Also noticed one of the marker lights on the right side at the bottom the wire was detached. No leaks driving through rain though so that was the most important for me.brian W.

Owner at D&S Storage stayed beyond his normal closing time as we were running a little late for pickup. SUPER friendly and helpful! HOWEVER: U-Haul (NOT D&S) did the old 'bait and switch' on us at the last minute. We had a 10ft van reserved AND confirmed. However we were notified less than 24 hours before pickup that we had to go to a 15ft truck. Yes, same rate - but it was a GAS HOG. I spent over $90 in gas when I was only expecting about half that for such a small move of furniture.Jeff T.
