I didn’t know that the pick up location would be closed and I needed to get the key out of a lock box. No one informed me of anything. It took at least 30 min to even get the key and drive off. I stood there 15 minutes just waiting thinking someone was coming and then I called the company and was told they were closed and that I needed to contact U-haul to receive the code to get the keys out. The representative that instructed me with getting the keys was very knowledgeable and friendly. Once I received the keys and got in the truck I noticed that all the cup holders were dirty and had trash in them. However, the rest of the truck was clean.

The drop off location was fine. It was Christmas Eve and no one was working which is also fine and even encouraged... it's Christmas! The issue overall for me was the app. Didn't work to do off the trailer. Kept saying that the app couldn't find my uhaul location. You gotta get that fixed.
Dominic ATrailer lights did not work properly. This put me in a dangerous situation when the trailer was loaded.

Daniel LInspect the equipment when it comes back to make sure it's in good working condition. Before renting it again. One strap on the tow dolly was cut . So it was to short to go around my tire . Waited 90 minutes for a replacement strap . I'd like a refund for the inconvenience I experienced because the dealer didn't inspect the equipment before renting the equipment to me . Probably total waiting time was more like 2 hours .
William JLong time UHaul customer. Until now, rented only from company stores, never an issue. As I was in a different area, my reservation was sent to an outside vendor. To begin with, the reservation was for 9:30, but no one at the shop showed up until 10:00. Rented the trailer for 2 hours as only needed to move a couple pieces of furniture. Once I was done, I returned the trailer before the shop closed for the day. Advised an employee I had seen earlier that the trailer was back. Simple enough. Two weeks later there is a $256.00 charge from u haul. As the initial amount of $28.00 was paid in advance, there should have not been any further charges. I called UHaul and they said they would look into it. 24 yours later yet another charge for $230.00 showed up on my statement. I spoke to a supervisor and it appears it has been straightened out, but for 48 hours I was out close to 500.00 for a $28.00 rental. I will rent from UHaul again, but NEVER at a location that is not a dedicated UHaul center.

Samuel SFirst of all customer service is absolutely terrible. They have no desire to help, or inform you ahead of time the things you need to do. I picked my truck up in a location my phone did not have service and no one would help me get the lockbox code so I could get my truck. I spent over an hour driving around simply trying to find service to download a non-user friendly app just to pick up my truck. I was also charged for a dolly I did not receive. I accept a refund. I will never be using U-Haul ever again.

THOMAS TPicking up the truck at the location took much longer than it should have, especially since online check-in was completed before the pick-up date. The 26' foot truck was filthy and roach infested. I had to spray the cab/driver area and the inside of the truck with roach spray. I will not use U-Haul again. I was lucky to have the large truck I ordered but I was unhappy with the condition of the truck, mostly.
Andrea PWhen did U-Haul start charging for mileage? Just raise the in town rate... miles to get around in Atlanta!!! Made it costly

Daymon SThe owner of the shop was more than thirty minutes late which put me behind schedule. h He asked why I was there and just handed me the key without looking at my license or anything. No contract signed or inspection. The truck was dirty, and a few hours later while loading the truck, UHaul called and asked if I would be needing my reservation. The lady seemed surprised when I told her I'd had it for hours. It made me nervous about insurance etc... Since they didn't even know I had the truck. The whole ordeal just felt shady. I will be using Penske next time for sure!
