For starters, not be liars. We called this uhaul place and they told us the price for the uhaul would be $550 and we had $1000 in our pocket so we would have plenty of gas money, have a room for a night because it's a 16 hour drive and I had little sleep. So we went to the uhaul place and Deep Gap an hour away from where we were. We could have gone local instead but chose to go to Deep Gap for the cheaper price. We got there and he said the price was a little more then he thought. So the price went from $550 to $678 to $712 to $789 to a final price of $889, almost all our money so now we barely had any money left. So we had to borrow $200 from friends and family just to get to Kansas because we almost got stuck in Missouri because they screwed us on our money. Not only that but they told us the uhaul was good on gas and it was new but it was dirty and I had to clean it before we left, the gas was going down like 3 miles every mile without heat on or anything, also I had to drive 24 hours straight on 2 hours of sleep because we could now not afford a room because they kept changing the price. I brought it back a little under a quarter and now I owe $150 in gas and fees even though it would only take about $60 to $70 to get it back to the three quarters it was at. I have never had such a horrible experience.Ivy J.

My experience w/U-Haul was unacceptable. Location was fine/agent was fine but I had to drive over an hour to p/u the vehicle because the place where I was supposed to get it did not have one.....although when I drove by it there were several in the parking l. When I talked to your coordinator she offered only to give me an extra 40 miles of credit for my inconvenience. This is absurd!Steven L.

The dealer at Deep Gap Storge provided excellent service, the problem was that the Neighborhood Dealer Pineview Building in Wilkesboro stood me up by not showing up at the appointed time, I had to pay my hired Moving Help $160 for the two hours it took for me to secure another truck in the next County, and another $160 to actually load the truck!Paul H.
I was told the rental would be $55 per day. I had the rental for 28 hours. I was charged $294.55. When I was at the rental store about the rent the trailer, I asked why am I being charged for 4 days when I will only need it for at most 2 days. He said Uhaul would reimburse me for any days I did not use the trailer. He then wrote an 866 number on the top of my rental contract and told me to call if I was not reimbursed. I was charged the amount for 4 days, and when I called the number (866-723-3060) they told me they could not reimburse me. I am now entered into a claim dispute be reimbursed for the time that I did not use the trailer. This is very frustrating, I was told one thing by the sales person and a totally different thing by the people at the 1-866 number.joe K.

TRAIN THOSE WHO RENT THE EQUIPMENT NOT TO LIE!!! I AM HAVING (BANK BB&T) THE CHARGES TO MY CARD REVERSED PLUS ANY CHARGES TO MY ACCOUNT CHARGED TO U-HAUL. I WAS LIED TO REGARDING THE CHARGES. WAS TOLD MY CARD WOULD NOT BE CHARGED AND I COULD PAY CASH WHEN THE TRAILER WAS RETURNED. Was sent to 2 after hours locations-1 specifically said no overnight drop offs and the other was dark and unsafe and again not a place to actually drop keys in. I was adamantly told that I could not leave my u-haul rental although I had confirmed the drop off multiple times. I was truly disappointed with the efforts that was not made to accommodate my needs when I had done all the tasks on my end.Kaira H.
This was a top notch moving experience. Customer service was excellent and the man was very helpful. We felt he truly wanted our business so much so that for Part Two of our daughter's move we are going to rent a U-Haul here again even though it's a bit of a distance further than the location in Boone, we would much prefer supporting a business that appreciative of his customers and courteous & helpful.Frank R.

Your whole reservation online registration is useless. I only did Deep Gap because the original shop was Sheppherd in West Jefferson was rented out from under by either Uhaul or Sheppherd's. I would have had no truck to haul household when I made the reservation 21 days before. You stink as a business from NC to FL!!!!!!Laurie H.

I have rented U-Hauls many, many times and every time my experience gets worse! The mileage is outrageous and customer service at most locations is terrible! I just needed a truck to move a washer & dryer in city limits & ended up paying $90+! That's reduclus! I am very unhappy & plan on using another company next time I need to move or move something!Jennifer H.

First, i reserved the equipment from Boone, NC. Had to go to Deep Gap to get it. The person there could not retireve my reservation and ended up doing another one. Second, two weeks after service, they charge me 204.46 without contacting me. They say it is due to overage because it was an in-town use. I dispited this but when referred to person doing contracts, i never heard from her. I have filed complaint with visa and with the BBB.Alan B.

I reserved the truck for 8:00AM for 1/9/18. I showed up at 7:45 hoping to get an earlier start. The gentleman who was in charge of the rentals was not there. Another person working there gave me his cell phone #. When I called him, he told me that he was not aware that a truck was going out today and that he had not checked the website. I had called him early afternoon the previous day hoping to verify that there was a truck there as the website indicated. He did not answer and I left a detailed message for him to return my call. He never returned my call and I made the reservation anyway later that afternoon. Apparently, he doesn't check his phone either. He arrived at 8:10 and I was finally able to get on the road at 8:45. Not a good initial experience.Michael B.
The process of renting the truck is snail slow!!! The owner doesn't realize or care that you are not renting a 26 foot truck for fun!! You are on a tide scheudle and you wont to take care of buissenes. He was completely opposite of that. Imstead of helping me he was on the phone when he was all ready processing my rental. He needed at least 2 times to put my credit card number inside cause his card terminal was broken or as he said does things are stupid. He was talking about everything else instead of processing my rental. I woke up that morning at 4 am and drove 230 miles to that location to rent the truck and the last that I was expecting was the rental pricedure that I got. That location never again and wouldnt recomend to anybody!!!!Katrina P.

The service man ripped us off. He charged $125 to my card after making a reservation and told me I wouldn't see the payment deducted. He continued to tell me that the other location "drop off" "one way" will take care of the billing and charge me much less. Terrible experienceliam S.
Had to buy our own cleaning supplies to clean the cab. It was the nastiest rental truck I've ever rented. Truck also leaked, all boxes and matresses were soaked. Had major fuel leak, called uhaul. They said just don't fill the tank completely full.charles F.

It would be great if you either banned smoking in your vehicles or offered "non-smoking" truck options. The truck I rented had a very strong smoke odor and it was an uncomfortable environment to drive in for a few hours.John R.
