JAMES BThe van was visibly dirty inside and out. Very dusty dash and muddy floors. There was moving blankets in the back which were tossed haphazardly which we did not request but then had to move out of the way for our load. The app took for-ev-errr to pick up and even longerrrr to drop off, so long that I had to call customer service. At least Stephan at customer service was quick and helpful. I chose this for the convenient location and after hours availability, but in the end I’d wished I’d done it in-person. The app just took waaaaayyyy too long to load things. A couch pick which could’ve been done in less than hour, took 2 hours because of the slowness.

Katheryn SThe area immediately surrounding the location needs a paved parking lot...its muddy and dusty. Other than that, it's A OK.
Milton WParking lot - muddy after rain - because it all dirt. Dark - lack of illumination. Entrance to the lot - you cannot tell where the entrance is specially at night and raining - plus depending the time of the day there is a lot of traffic and you cannot slow trying to look where the place is located. I didn't have that much problem because I have gone hundreds time in front of me, my wife had hard time...almost hit a rock going into the lot.

Paul TThe Uhaul online system is garbage. Luckily the gentleman at Delaware Equipment Rental was very helpful and friendly. However, I booked a trailer at a different location for 8:30 am. Within 4 hours of booking I was told I was rerouted to a different location. The one I was rerouted too and that confirmed my reservation was a location that doesn't open until 10:30 am. Unfortunately, I was not informed of this and showed up to an empty and closed business. Then, I had to go 22 minutes one way in the opposite direction of my travel plans in order to get the trailer. The additional travel time and traffic set me back an hour on my day because your system or someone at Uhaul was not properly prepared to review request times and compare them to business hours.

Rachel MRented a vehicle towing trailer and it was too narrow for my vehicle. I returned the Trailer in about 40 minutes. You should have a grace period and not charge full price or on your questionnaire add a section to say measure or measurements of your trailer.

TAYNIKA JStaff dropped what he was doing, came out and unhooked the trailer, printed a receipt and I was on my way. He even reminded me to not back up into the trailer, which I may well have done if he hadn't cautioned me.

Jhalil AWe rented a truck Saturday 7/8/23 and returned it that same day to and from Delaware Equipment Rental on Summit Bridge Rd in Middletown DE. We returned it “after hours” after fully sweeping the truck. Since the business was closed by 2pm Saturday and all day Sunday, we called promptly at 0800 on Monday morning for a receipt. We were told we would have one within the hour. After calling again for a receipt in the late afternoon, we asked for a verbal account of the final charge. During the call a statement was finally received through email. After the call, we looked at the receipt and found a 25.00 cleaning fee that was not disclosed during the call. We called the facility again to discuss the fee and the clerk was extremely rude and said the truck was dirty. Refused to remove fee. We returned to the facility to again sweep a truck that had been swept…and was already as clean as when we received it. Once done the worker didn’t even bother to look to see if it was clean. Obviously they charge arbitrary fees hoping no one will call them on it. Won’t use this location again; would rather drive out of the way and pay more mileage than give this location any business. Extremely disappointed. Obviously this is an issue with this specific location and not a uhaul company issue, as we’ve only had good experiences up until now. We used this one simply because it was closer and opened an hour earlier. Lesson learned.

ANDREW SI am absolutely blown away by uhaul in this experience. I will never use uhaul ever again. First I booked specifically 15’. When arrived this was not available. I drove to this location which is further for this specific truck. I should have been charged only for the 15’ which was $29.95. This added 5 miles round trip. If I was going to be charged for the 20’ of $39.95 I would have gone to the closer location that had the 20’. Second, what is the gas charge 4 gallons? 12 miles, 5 of which I shouldn’t have had to travel, cost 4 gallons at $4.875 per gallon? No. That is wrong. Started with 4600 mileage. Ended with 4612. A gallon at tops. If uhaul stands behind this you can take your aerodynamic and fuel advertisements on the front left and right panels of all your vehicles tear them off and put them in the trash. Let all your customers know you only get 3 miles to the gallon because that’s what your charged me. Absurd. I know I am 1 customer and don’t mean anything in grand scheme but there are alternatives too uhaul and I will never use you again. This is just pure profiteering from nickel and diming customers. This experience should’ve cost me $56.76 ($29.95 + $0.99P/M @ 7 Miles + $15.00 Safe Move + the absurd $4.875 gallon) vs. the $88.69 charged, a blatant over charge $31.93.
