Jordan SI filled the tank to the 9/16 full that I had started with. They claimed it was 1/2 full and finished off the bill without confirming it with me. They pocketed $20 extra without my knowledge and I only figured it out when I got home and checked the email receipt.
Derrick VGuy left store with me in mid transaction and he said he completed the refund but he did not. I will have to phone uhaul and get my refund. Plus charged me two days. Said i was late. Not professional or respectful. Was dismissive of my needs.

Robin DThe truck wouldn't start after I got it home..and I was desperate to get someone to fix it as I had men coming early next morning to move me..It was a long distance move so couldn't reschedule.. Finally after 3 hours a mechanic came and it was a quick fix that could've been found if the truck had been fully inspected before renting. Also the young man had to get the Edmonton office to do the work on the computer, he didn't have any idea how to do the job.

Leonard LThe u haul representative at the location at picked the trailer up had zero knowledge of how to properly hook the trailer up or that the light plug in required an additional adapter that I needed to purchase. I had to make two separate trips to the location wasting a lot of time.

Neil SInternet connections at the location were very slow and unreliable. In the end the service person had to use their phone to complete the transaction. Although I do not doubt the persons integrity it made me uncomfortable using a personal phone to conclude a transaction.

Dorothy LI didn’t pick up in Devon, it is an excellent location though. The Area Field Manager for this location is an abusive, uncooperative and vile man that creates serious problems that do not exist. He should be removed from the company, and criminally charged for his actions towards customers. Consider this a formal complaint, as all others mysteriously disappear in Uhaul’s system.

John MI had to move myself the 26 foot truck that was sitting in front of the trailer I was renting . They put the wrong drop off location on contract, when I dropped at mentioned location, ( winterburn and stoneyplain road ) I had to pay surcharge fee, which I didnt after arguing with them for like 15 minutes..

Paschal GThe owner or whoever at Devon Domo didn’t inform me that there was no ramp, so after I had already drove to my house to pack the uhaul, I called him to ask if he had the ramp at the store and he couldn’t understand me on the phone and told me to drive back to the store with the truck, so I wasted more fuel to drive back and he informs me there is no ramp with the truck and says oh well about me having to drive back there. Not happy at all with that experience.
Cherisse WThe guy was rude, I was charged way more then I should have been and he wouldn't even look at the photos I had of the gas gage, which I had put more in then when I got it.

When returning the vehicle the elder person who served us was extremely rude. we were told we could hold the reservation with a credit card then pay with debit upon returning. He took it upon himself to to charge the credit card without our consents.

travis dI had pre paid for my rental of a 5x8 enclosed trailer, as well as a utility dolly and 6 blankets. To be picked up in calmar. I got a call asking if i could pick up from devon. That was fine till i got there. When i arrived, the lady tried to charge me again. Then told me she didnt have a dolly for me and dirty blankets!!!! I was furious. So i declined the dirty blankets and asked for a refund.
Chantal TWindshield seal lifted and I needed to repair mid-trip. Location forgot moving pads, which required a second trip back. Vehicle has a check engine light come on mid-trip. Poor experience, that made the move harder, not easier.

There was a guy there that said he would help unhook the trailer as I have a bad back and he left after saying he would help me. The lady got a friend to help lift it off the truck. The trailer was extremely heavy to lift.

Petro TU haul customer service was even terrible! After booking and paying for 10 days we were hounded that it was to be returned after only 24 hours!! Terrible experience and will not be a returning customer!! Paper work received was not in order.
Leonard GCommunication!!! Location was not open until 10am, but pick up time was scheduled for 7am. Attendant was not told we were picking up off hours so no arrangements made prior to pick up causing a 3 hour delay as well as extra drive time to get to the location twice.

Eric LEmployees need to be better versed in booking software. Took over 15min to get rental paperwork done, even with online check in completed. Even got charged for insurance, even though I had declined online.
Heather BDid everything online on my part,Uhaul rep at store very slow and seemed computer illiterate. Was not happy,will travel to Edmonton in future.And dropping off the 6x12 cargo travel on a slanted icey hill and being told to use flimsy plastic bottle crate I wasn't comfortable with and voiced how unsafe it was,especially with colder weather.Invest in some wooden blocks,uhaul can afford it for their equipment.

Ivan SNext time don’t double charge someone. I booked online and I had to put my payment info. I go into the location and put $123.33 deposit. Then they take that towards the total. And then the next day they took out another $48. That they had no right to take out because we already paid the entire total when we dropped off the uhaul truck.

Randy SWhen someone reserves a certain truck, make sure it's ready for them to pick up. An hour and 15 mins before I was supposed to pick up my truck, the place I'm supposed to pick it up at called me and told me the guy who had my truck wasn't giving it back until July 3rd. So he gives me a 1800 number to call. I ended up having to pick up a 15ft truck in Devon, I was moving from Wetaskiwin to Leduc. I ordered a 26ft truck. I had to make 2 rounds trips between Wetaskiwin and Leduc with the 15ft. While I was moving Uhaul called and told me the parking lot where I'm supposed to drop off the truck in Leduc is too full. So I had to take it back to Devon. This whole thing was extremely inconvenient. Yes the last at the 1800 number did her best to accommodate all the km's I needed.. I'm just upset I had to go through all that. Plus I had to pay the gas from Devon to Wetaskiwin and then from Leduc to Devon out of pocket when it wasn't my fault that I had to go to Devon in the first place. And this is not the only time Uhaul has done something to my move in the past. I will not be recommending Uhaul to anyone. And next time I move I will be hiring a moving company. Not Uhaul.
Katrina NIt took almost an hour for the guy at the counter to complete the paperwork etc and the trailer was missing the cord which he couldn't find a spare for so I had to look for it and find it for him. He also didn't help check the lights etc so I had to ask someone walking past to help me. There was also sand in the unit so I had to sweep it out. Probably just one incompetent employee there though.
jaryn sWith all the issues we had we were told by a customer service manager that we would not be charged mileage, but the charge went through anyway. Would like to get the $32.99 distance charge back.

NORMAN SThe attendant took it upon himself to call Uhaul to verify he could waive the extra mileage charge because the truck had extra fuel pin return . The end result was highly satisfactory and he had no reason to do it other than customer service and satisfaction. It was appreciated.
Jason TPlease do not arrange a Uhaul for me that is 200 km away from me. Please make sure the distance is calculated correctly so that I do not need time to explain why the allowed mileage did not cover my travel and why I do not need to pay for extra miles, which is crazy that your company cannot do it well.
Qiang LHad to get truck in Edmonton. Nothing available in Fort McMurray and not taking reservations for a month as of May 16. Took several phone calls to book truck and get confirmation. Was nervous after reading all negative reviews but thankfully the truck was ready for me to pick up where they promised . The truck ran well. Was not spotless by any means. Windows pretty dirty and cab console and floor dirty but nothing overly horrible.

Diane DHad to pick up in Edmonton when I confirmed a unit to be in Fort St. John BC. A 10 hour drive. The truck had to be boosted, cleared of snow and fuel (as it had all been siphoned)
Judy DI booked my uhaul rental truck on line the night before I needed it with no issues. When I arrived to pick up the truck at 9am the representative at the loction told me that the system was down and that I would be able to get the truck that day. I quickly called the contact number for uhaul and the gentleman i spoke with was more than happy to help me get it sorted out. He emailed me the contract and everything was fine.I went back to the location to pick up the truck after the gentleman on the phone said it would be all good and that I could just pick up the keys. When I arrived it was another quick phone call with the on site representative talking to the uhaul office and then it was out the door with the truck. I booked the truck to pick up at 9am and by the time I got the truck it was 10am. So not to bad, a little but of a hassle in the beginning but it ended up ok in the end. An hour delay really isn't bad especially when I 100% absolutely needes it that day. Would definitely reccomend to someone and will use again if needed. I can't say enough great things about the guy I talked to on the phone!!! I'm sorry i didn't catch his name.
