Auto transporter was available at this location however my contract could be changed and I had to go into south Philadelphia to pick up the auto transport which added miles on the truck and delayed the start of my trip by 2 hours. I was charged 12.00 for over mileage.Larry U.
I have had mostly less than good experiences with Uhaul but this location was entirely different. Helpful, friendly customer service which I have never received at a typical uhaul location. In fact I had reserved at an official Uhaul location and I was late so they gave away my vehicle even though I prepaid and the lady was so indifferent and rude. I went online and found this location within another business and it was by far the best rental experience I have ever had with Uhaul. I will rent from DiDonato's again.Mindy E.
First of all, the guys were great here. Quick and friendly and had the trailer disconnected in minutes. It's a repair garage with lots of other things going on, so it's confusing about where to pull in but it was fine.FRANK M.

Auto transport trailer was damaged. After we loaded our car onto it one of the tires began to rub onto the metal fender causing it to burn. We were stranded on the side of the highway and this location had no idea how to help us. We contacted uhaul's roadside assistance and had to wait hours before anyone was able to get to us. We ended up having roadside assistance take back the auto transport trailer to get a refund for our troubles. This caused us to have to postpone our moving date and to lose money on an air bnb we booked.Adriel M.

I moved my reservation time an hour later, but it did not reflect the update in the app resulting in it taking almost an hour to sort out access to the vehicle. I then had to pay $35 for the â€œextraâ€ time, when in reality has there been no issue, I wouldn't have needed extra time.Evan L.

The truck was extremely dirty. The cabin was covered in sweet syrup. The loading compartment had gas spilled inside, smelled like gas and was slippery. The truck brakes were in poor condition. The person I rented from was rude and had me wait for 30 minutes for no reason.Metyu M.

This was not the location that I ordered my truck! NO ONE contacted me to let me know that the location changed to this one. The truck was dirty and smelled like smoke. The truck was new...the auto transport not well maintained.....blew a tire on the road. Did NOT give us a drop off location for the auto transport, just the truck......WHO DOES THAT???dennis D.
This UHaul location is in a sketchy part of the city. According to two of my relatives who live there. Our dropoff was after hours, so we were apprehensive, but the dropoff was without incident. But, I tried the on line after hours drop off link and answered a few questions, but when it came to taking a picture the app did not do as it should have. It just didn't take the picture of the equipment. So I just used my phone camera and took a picture OK. I have it to show you if it is needed. That's it. I'd never used a tow dolly before but it worked just as advertised. Thank you, UHaul.WILLIAM D.

I ordered a 10 inch truck at Allegheny but received a 9 in cargo van miles I had to travel 11 miles away to get in south Philly. I ordered for 9 am but what schedule for 10 am. Seeing several 10 inch trucks sitting there at the pickup location was the icing on the cake.T'Keyah D.
This location was fine. No one was there both times so no customer interaction experience/rated. U-Haul in general would get negative reviews - app is very glitchy, customer support was nice but frustratingly slow and one of the reps was completely inept, and we were overcharged for mileage not used which I'll be in touch about soon.Jeremy S.

I reserved a truck and my pick up location got changed, which is fine, but when I went there at my pick up time, the auto body was closed. They aren't open on weekends. I had no information on how to get my key, so I had to call support and after an hour I was finally transferred to a manager who was able to provide my my key code. My pick up time was for 9:00am and I didn't leave with my truck until 10. One rep that helped me switched my reservation time to 9:30 while on the phone. When moving when it's 95 degrees outside, it's frustrating to have your move delayed because of miscommunication. I do feel that I should be compensated in some way for the delay in my truck pick up.Richard R.
Once I contacted the location of my preferences., they had someone from u-haul to contact me. I gave them my email address I filled out the requested information on line. Once I got to the location I gave my credit information got my key and was good to go. My second time renting in this manner and it works for.Lenora S.

No dolly or furniture pads that I purchased in advance. Ruined my moving experience because they were necessary for what I needed to do. Horrible service near the location I picked up from so my app would not load and made me late even though I arrived to the location on time. Truck was mostly clean but very dusty and could use a vacuum/wipe down. Displeased that I spent almost $100 plus gas for this type of experience. Will be renting my trucks from Home Depot instead in the future. Thanks.Courtney E.

The process to rent the truck from the app was a nightmare. I had to â€œwait for approvalâ€ for over 30 minutes even though all of the documents were uploaded. Even though it took 45 minutes to rent the truck, the time for the return was not extended. There is no clear signs of where to park at this location. The owner of the store next to the u hail told me not to park in a certain area otherwise my car would get towed.Kathryn P.

I don't like the fact that no one told me about a 100.00 hold fuck me up for the next day I couldn't get my car out the shop everyday my car sits in there it's 45 dollars a day yeah basically I hate u-haul ever will rent again and they charged me 6 dollars and some change for gas that I put in there I put 7 dollars and if my u-haul was 55.30 why was 72. Attendant was not aware that truck was booked and had to call someone else. Nopaper work available showing fees. Truck was dirty and smelled cigarette smoke. WHen truck was returned there was still no hard copy of charges and told it would be emailed. No email came. When credit card charge bills came the Uhaul charge was higher but since there was no hard copy then there is no explanation. Not professionally conducted.Benny O.
For the next customer, I'd advise for an employee or two to carefully listen to what the customers are saying in regards to drop-off locations. I was able to drop off my trailer a day earlier but due to being not informed well by one employee, I could've gotten charged a lot of money. GEORGE KING JR from Hagerstown, PA helped greatly and I would like to give him all the praise for making my experience great in the end. Please give him a reward of some sort.Lamar G.
Your survey does not allow me to comment on my overall experience with u-haul which was terrible. The pick up location itself fine. The man running the business was great. The problem was that it was nowhere near my home. I had arranged for another location and was informed two days before the pickup that the location was changed. Also, due to your phone system I could not speak to an actual human being without waiting an hour. When I did speak to someone about the "bait and switch" I was stonewalled. I will never rent from U-haul again. You run things for your own convenience and not for the customer.Geoffrey L.

This was not the original location I reserved a vehicle at. When I arrived, they didn't have the vehicle I had reserved so they sent me to DiDonato's. They treated me well but were significantly further from both my house and the location I was moving things from, which added extra money to my bill.Sarah M.

Manager and other representatives have to check the Uhaul system when speaking with customers as information changes all the time. Not sure if drop off locations are supposed to take pictures of the gas gauge so that their interpretation of drop off gas level is vetted by others and not just taking the word of one person?Chineme E.

This location doesn't have a dedicated uhaul rep. So to pick up the shop had me wait for over 20min while they attend to their customers, then try to get the uhaul rep on the phone, which they weren't picking up. Finally they called back and went through the process over the phone. In total a 5-10min pickup turned into 35-40min.Gregory B.
