There was no furniture dolly, delaying our pickup time by at least 2 hours. My first time getting a u-hual and I specifically requested counter checkin, this location is a lockbox pick up location and closed on weekends. We only have an elevator at our apartment for 3 hours before we get charged by the hour for usage . I’ve tried to get in contact with anyone in the past 2-3 days about this and have had the phone disconnected, told they have authority in person to take any action and tried to email. U-haul customer service/coordination across multiple stores and then across states is nonexistent. While there are very friendly and understanding reps you’ll speak to they ultimately can’t help you with much.

Brian pI would not change the location of the initial pick up less than 48 hours before the truck is needed. Further, I would make sure the pick up location is open at the same time as the initial pick up location. That's why I chose the location. I prefer in-person interactions. The van's windshield wiper blades need to be replaced. Further, I would double check the brakes. The stopping distance seemed longer than I would have suspected.
Ernst VI left the trailer afterhours, when the location was closed, and called the next morning to make sure the trailer would be checked in. That never happened, and a month later I was informed that U Haul was about to report the trailer stolen. It was eventually resolved, but there was a lot of stress involved.
