The exterior of the truck was very dirty. Having someone to clean the truck before renting it to the next customer. The fuel level was somewhat subjective. Asking each renter to fill the truck before returning it would remove that subjectivity.

MICHAEL RI booked my uhaul a few weeks prior to my move for 8am. The woman called me the night before and told me my uhaul was scheduled for 10am pick up. I told her my reservation was for 8am. She told me not to worry and it should be back on time. I arrived at the location to pick up my uhaul and she tells me I have to wait until 930. This is frustrating since I booked my reservation for 8am because I had limited time to vacant my old home. By the time I left the location, it was 10am. I wasted 2 hours of my time. Since I was late leaving the location and arriving in Carberry from Brandon, my family and I were rushing to vacant the apartment. I didn't have enough time to fully clean the space because the new tenant was waiting to move in. Because of this 2 hour inconvenience, my property manager docted $150 of my damage deposit. I was extremely frustrated. Also, the pick up location was dirty and filthy with a cockroach infestation. My family member went to use the washroom and they were everywhere. Dead and alive bugs. I had no problem with the uhaul or travel to my location but the ignition was tricky. It was hard to turn over the engine.
CHRISTINE TEverything went very well until I returned trailer to the depot in Brandon Mb. There was nobody at the location so I phoned them and was told just to drop it off. Later got a call from them asking where the 12 blankets were that I had rented. I told them I had not rented blankets as it was only tools and a snowblower that had been put in the trailer. She said she would call head office to see what to do. I told her to call the pick up location to get verification I didn't get blankets but was told that wasn't an option.Checked my invoice and sure enough, I was billed for blankets. I guess we will see what transpires!
Oliver KDissapointed but got the job done once I was able to figure out how to get the truck. There is no person to assist at the location. Be sure to get the app before hand and get logged in to rent the truck (get keys, take pics, record gas/mileage). The truck was completely frozen over and it was a pain to scrape the windshield. Once all of this was done the truck served it's purpose.

GERMAN BThe dash board at the front was dirty. The agent arrived late and we had to wait and I had to call to be told she is now in the office. I thought we would have gotten some guidance as to how to fit my car on the trailer. It would be good if U-Haul could have someone on the side to assist as not many of use move regularly.

Carol MPick up location did not have the requested dolly, did not check vehicle for damage, did not put the keys in the lock box, and in general did not seem ready for our arrival. They also closed the day we were supposed to drop off the uhaul, meaning we had to drop at a different location and cab to the original one to get our car. Overall chaotic and time consuming process.

EMMANUEL FMy only concern was the gas tank was less than 1/2 full. It’s much easier if the tank is full on pickup and the customer can simply fill it back up before drop off.
T AI called in early July to book a 15 foot uhaul for July 31 &aug 1. I specifically asked for 2 full days and I would return Aug 1 by 8pm. When I arrived July 31, I was told I had to return by 8 am the next morning on August 1. They double booked the 15 foot truck to someone else Aug 1, but they had a 26 foot truck instead. I took it but I believe I should only have to pay for the 15 foot truck for 2 full days. I also could not get the 26 foot in my driveway so we had to walk the furniture further away to the truck where I could park it. I have had 15 foot trucks in my driveway so this was an inconvenience as well. I think discount tire charged my visa for the 26 foot truck but I would like to be charged for 15 foot truck like I booked. Thanks

Pascal EWe had an agreement well over a month to rent a 26 ft truck on July 19 2024. We received an email on July 17 2024 asking if we would be interested in taking a loaded eight ft trailer to Calgary. We declined because our direction of travel took us to Lethbridge. The next day I received a phone call stating "our truck was to be picked up 2 1/2 hours from where we are moving from to three provinces over. So my son and I drove and when we spoke to a very understanding Uhaul representative she said she would make things right, in regards to extra mileage for the pickup, extra days and a reduced rental payment. So why did I get charged for extra mileage. We drove only where we had to go. Thanks
Barry SThis may not have been the fault of this location but we were missing the dolly that we had ordered with our rental. We also had asked to use the Advantage Auto location on the #1 Highway but were still directed here. We went to the Advantage Auto location after leaving the Discount Tires location to pick up a dolly as they had extras. The reason I like Advantage Auto is that they are more accessible and they have more staff and equipment available. However, an in-town location may also be preferred for some people and the lady working there was very good about calling us and being available to confirm details.

Albert BThe interior was dirty; especially the centre console. The steering wheel was sticky. I had to sweep the cargo box out. I would suggest ensuring cleanliness before the next customer uses the vehicle.

Michelle LThe truck had garbage in the back and the location is horrible for picking up a large truck. Also the truck only had a quarter tank of gas at pick up which meant we had to find a place to find gas in downtown Brandon.

Jennifer Rlucky uhaul doesnt have any competition or they would be out of business. I reserved a 26ft truck for pickup on dec 31, then I get a message saying they have switched me to a 15ft that wouldn't work, then I called to get this figured out - said I needed to pickup on Jan 1 versus dec 31 because needed to pickup when open - this caused issued to be able to get their on time, then when I show up they arent open, I also called to let them know I would be delayed - then to top it off I couldnt get the 26ft anymore so either had to take the 15ft or have no option to move anything - we wouldnt even get into your mobile app and having to be there an hour with verification and location not working

Kelly SIf there is an additional charge to your account, it would have been nice if the agent would have pointed out what criteria was not met in the contract, hence the additonal charge. I received an additional charge to my account. I dont know why. All costs should have been explained which was not.
