The had reserved a vehicle from a location close to my house well in advance. On the move day it was not available UHUAL called and informed me this location was the closest with a vehicle in the size I required. Luckily, everyone I dealt with personally was great and able to help me with the rental experience. They were professional, courteous, kind, and considerate. The website and app need work as I wasn't able to edit pertinent details in the reservation as was indicated by both written instructions on the website and recorded message on the 800 number nor was I able to complete the "express check in" on the website or app. It took us an hour before we left the lot with the truck. The rep at the counter was able to get me on the road with no issues once we switched over to standard check in.GWENDOLYN WYNTER L.

Your website is absolutely broken! Couldn't get the vehicle without help from the service guy (who so annoyed that the website wasn't working AGAIN, and when I went to return, before my 4pm return time, the website would not let me because it couldn't find my location. The same man helped me (after his business hours) and tried to get it checked in and it would not work! This is so frustrating, considering this was supposed to be the "easy and quick way" to rent one of your trucks.LINDA S.

My pickup time was supposed to be 12:30 yet was entered as 11:00. After trying to check in for 25 minuets the man finally looked into my reservation. The time was changed so it would not allow me to check in on the site. This is not the friendliest Uhaul locations.Lisa S.

We were initially supposed to pick up at 26' truck from Commerce at 7am for a 24/7 pick up. When we got there, there was no truck. After contacting the business owner because the business did not open until 9:30am and getting ahold of Uhaul customer service we were told there was not a truck available for us. By 7:30am we had decided to get a 20' truck from Waterford instead so we could get on with our move. After getting to Waterford the business did not â€œopenâ€ until 8am. My husband and I sat in the car waiting for 20 minutes while movers were waiting at our house on the clock! The original customer service representative gave us $50 off and an extra 25 miles. After seeing how much smaller the truck was, paying movers for an hour and a half doing nothing, and driving in complete opposite directions I feel like we deserve more. The $50 basically accommodates for getting a 6' smaller truck and not for the fact that it put our move drastically behind. We were not able to move all of our belongings that day so we will have to rent another truck to finish the rest, definitely not from Uhaul either. Thank gosh we still have ownership of our previous home we were moving from because otherwise I would be way more upset. We are extremely disappointed with Uhaul as a whole and not this specific location because it was not their fault.MICHAEL EUGENE V.

Had to sweep out the back of the truck before using. Had a number of problems downloading the app to return the truck. I was asked questions about the truck (ie mileage), then asked to take pictures to prove my information. Just ask for pictures if you don't believe the customers - we don't need both. Needless to say my big truck rental for Sunday was not from u-haulPETER JOHN C.
This location was completely disrespectful. It is also an oil change business and the guys said â€œbe right thereâ€ and came over 15 minutes later to process my reservation and give keys. Rep. at this location was a little on the rude side. Did not hesitate to tell me I should have checked in online, but he would take care of it anyway. I called to confirm but I was not told there was not a dollie available until we arrived. Then wanted me to go several miles away to get one. Kept telling me it was not his fault there was not one there. Customer service SHOULD have been to obtain one from the other location himself since I already paid for my reservation. I received a refund for the dollie, but I believe that is NOT the point.Then couldn't be bothered to remove the signage that was in the front window of the truck. They make you wait while they service oil changes regardless of who is there first. I waited 50 minutes to pick up a 5x8 trailer. Person working that day was rude. Said they were short staffed and that even Uhaul would tell you that my customers come first. Complained about how long it takes to get paperwork done for Uhaul and that they only make $3 off the rental.DEBORAHJEAN H.

Fix your app and your website. I moving day people don't need to try 30 f'ing times to get your app to checkout the vehicle or to turn it back in. I literally spent 30 minutes before flagging down an employee to turn it in. This is by far the worst app I've ever used. I had problems setting up the appointment. An online van reservation was made. When we arrived at the pickup location, we were required to enter all the same information again. The final step of taking a picture of the location bar code and submitting it did not work after several tries. Therefore, the attendant had to delete our reservation order and create another order manually . . . over half hour wasted due to faulty website.Dennis S.
Anything would be an improvement. Truck smelled. The online check in process was not user friendly. The return process was not working properly. The bar code photo return process didn't work and this was no surprise to the staff that cleans the truck k as they saw me struggling and finally suggested I use the QR code process instead. Why not put out of order since they new it didn't work. Trying to call the help line was a joke and I was on hold for 10 minutes constantly being sold on their services and products before they disconnected me. Requested different location and uhaul changed and received higher price, told they didn't have truck when arrived, sticky spills all over inside of truck. Truck was not cleaned. During Covid19 that was not acceptable. Told up needed to return by 8am and facility wasn't open.DENNIS HENRY K.

Don't send them here. The place was filthy, the people were rude and didn't want to deal with us. They bad mouthed UHaul as a company and said they always have problems like we did with the reservations, etc. You should know that even before we went here, our experience was really bad. After our reservation, we got a call saying it was available at the location we booked, we had to drive to Waterford (almost an hour away to get the size truck we wanted), we did and the truck wasn't there. Location was fine. Service went above and beyond. He saved the day. The truck was clean but not maintained. Battery constantly became disconnected so every time truck was turned off I had to fix the battery. Completely unacceptable. UHaul needs to take better care of its equipment, especially on safety items.Tracie M.

The owner came out yelling at me about where I parked. Without noticing I was using a cane to get around he told me to park way in the back. He yelled at me that they would open in 20 minutes even though it was only 5 minutes from opening. He did not even know what time it was but was more than happy to yell at me. Later when I called him on his behavior it got only worse. I explained that it was his tone that was terrible and not the words he used so much...that didn't help. I explained that I was trying to help him, he didn't get that either. You should take his franchise away, he does NOT do you proud.jeff H.
