My origional reservation was to pick up the trailer in Morganton. nc, but they did not have a trailer, so uhaul changed the location. This was a bigf inconvience to me since I had to travel 25 miles to another town to return the trailer.Gary H.

First I had to waste 3 hours bombing the back of the truck because roches were crawling all over the walls and floor the truck only had 1/4 tank of gas and after all my time cleaning the truck it was dark and the lights in the back would shut off after 15 min then wouldn't turn back on till 30 min later . At this point and the thousands of dollars spent with you I will look at different options the next time I need a truck.Kevin C.

I was disappointed with the on-line registration and changes since the Boone, N.C, didn't have the 6x12 trailer I needed. The phone message changing it to Banner Elk was not convenient for me and out of my way several miles. At the Hickory location at pick up time, I had the location in Bellevue that I wanted them to put on the paperwork, but they said they would leave the drop off location as selected. I didn't get back on the road a half hour, and I was getting a drop off location that was not the Bellevue location I wanted. Then I was being told that there was going to be an extra charge for changing the drop-off location. This really made me mad. U Haul equipment has always performed well for me, but the pick-up in rural locations is much different than in cities like my home Jacksonville, Fl.LOUIS D.

Check equipment carefully before renting them out. Car transporter was unsafe for the road. It had a broken strap. Could only strap down one tire. I didn't notice until I got to my location and was ready to load the vehicle up. Had to purchase a strap at a local hardware store to resume trip.Richard L.

My only complaint is my initial phone call. I think maybe the calls are sent to a call center, but I ended up at the wrong UHaul place, because the lady I spoke with did not mention that the UHaul truck I was renting would be through Dock Yard Self Storage, which is on the same road as another UHaul rental company. She also did not mention that I had to put down a deposit, she just said I needed to bring my ID. Other than I did not have any problems. The facility and vehicle were very helpful.angel N.

The location I had reserved my truck at had no recollection of my order and did not have my size truck needed available. They then sent me 20 mins to another location where the lady was extremely rude. She charged me $100 holding fee even with my card. Despite what customer service wrote in about not charging me for extra miles since I was given such a hassle, I still got charged for 7 extra miles because I had to return the truck to a further location because my original one didn't have my truck. I had a terrible experience and will probably never use U Haul again.BRIANNE L.

My rental was excellent and am pleased with the experience. I also rent a large storage unit from this U-Haul facility and was very disappointed to learn active customers are not entitled to any discounts from U-Haul. I reserved our uhaul for a local move, going thru the 800 phone number to make the reservation. I rented the truck for 24 hours. As we were coming from another state to move our things from storage to our new home, i called the uhaul place where our rental was to be picked up to let them know that we were running a bit late for the pickup. It was then i was informed our truck was not at their lot & we would have to pick it up at one of the other locations here in town. That was not a big deal, except had I not called them, we would have not gone to the right rental place. Upon arriving to get the truck, my husband was told we could not have the truck for 24 hours -- it had already been rented to someone else & we had to have it back early the next morning. It was explained there was no way it would be there by the time they indicated, but we would return it asap. We had it back before noon the following day, which was still under 24 hours. I phoned the 800 number for U haul that night & spoke with a very nice lady & explained that i felt we had been jacked around & indeed, we were not happy about the situation, but the other side of that was we did not wish to inconvenience someone else who was coming to pick that truck up for THEIR move. The representative was very nice & I was told we would receive a $50 credit to our account because of all the inconvenience & indeed, the lack of consideration toward us. This rental was done over Labor Day weekend. I just paid my Discover card bill & inquired as to whether the $50 credit had been posted & was told it had not. I am hereby requesting you contact me immediately & get this situation straightened out. I was promised a $50 credit & that has not happened. I will expect to hear from someone within 48 hours or you all will be hearing from me. You will probably like me better if you contact me rather than making me contact you once again with this complaint. The contact phone number is in the record with our reservation. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I think a month is long enough for you all to have taken care of this.CYNTHIA R.
